DESCRIPTION : Change of firmware for C-770 Ultra Zoom

For all distination : Ver. 772-80 >>> Ver. 772-81
REASON : Countermeasure of following items for C-770 Ultra Zoom.
1) An unusual screen(blue back screen with no warning message) may be displayed on the LCD
for a moment, if the camera is turned on with no card and holding first-release during displaying
starting screen.
2) The alert of cover open and the icon of the sound recording are overlapped if the card cover is
opended while holding first-release in the sound recording mode.
3) Other minute bugs are modified.
REMARKS :
Refer to D-3 of Service manual about updating procedure.
OBJECT :
Update the firmware to all the returned cameras from the market .

REASON : Countermeasure of following items for C-770 Ultra Zoom.
1) The AF may not focus under low luminosity in except for the auto mode.
The AF performance is improved as well as the performance of the auto mode.
REMARKS :

REASON :Countermeasure of following items for C-770 Ultra Zoom.
1) When the card is full up with the data of panorama shooting, the Exif information of usual still
images are recorded on the card as panorama images, even if the card is formatted or exchanged.
2) When the camera record the data exceeding Zone on the shooting by the xD-Picture Card which
effective block becomes 1000 or less in Zone 0 by aged block failure, it becomes writing error and
PW-OFF.
After restarting the camera, the image disappears and "Card Setup" message is displayed on the LCD
monitor.(The management area in the card is deleted.)
3) When playing the MPEG4 movie with sound on the TV monitor with Beep Sound off setting, the
sound is not played.
When operating the upper arrow key or lower arrow key, the sound is played. When playing the movie
on the camera, these problem doesn’t occur.
