This manual was prepared to help you understand the operation and maintenance of your vehicle sothat youmay enjoymany miles(kilometers) ofdriving pleasure. Please read through this manual before operating your vehicle.

A separate Warranty Information Booklet explains details about the warranties covering your vehicle. The “NISSAN Service and Maintenance Guide” explains details about maintaining and servicing your vehicle. Additionally, a separate Customer Care/Lemon Law Booklet (U.S. only) will explain how to resolve any concerns you may have with your vehicle, as well as clarify your rights under your state’s lemon law.

WARNING

● Do not ride in a moving vehicle when the seatback is reclined. This can be dangerous. The shoulder belt will not be against your body. In an accident, you could be thrown into it and receive neck or other serious injuries. You could also slide under the lap belt and receive serious internal injuries.

FRONT MANUAL SEAT ADJUSTMENT (if so equipped)

WARNING

● Do not adjust the driver’s seat while driving so full attention may be given to vehicle operation. The seat may move suddenly and could cause loss of control of the vehicle.

● After adjustment,gently rockin theseat to make sure it is securely locked.

● For the most effective protection when the vehicle is in motion, the seat should be upright. Always sit well back in the seat and adjust the seat properly. See “Precautions on Seat Belt Usage” later in this section.

Forward and backward

Pull the lever up and hold it while you slide the seat forwardor backward to the desiredposition. Release the lever to lock the seat in position.

WARNING

After adjustment, gently rock in the seatto make sure it is securely locked.

Reclining

Torecline the seatback, pull the lever up andlean back. To bring the seatback forward, pull thelever up and lean your body forward. Release the lever to lock the seatback in position.

The reclining feature allows adjustment of the seatback for occupants of different sizes for added comfort and to help obtain proper seat belt fit(see “Precautions on seat belt usage”later in this section). Also, the seatback can be reclined to allow occupants to rest when the vehicle is stopped.

Seat lifter (if so equipped for driver’s seat)

Turn either dial to adjust the angle and height of the seat cushion to the desired position.

Lumbar support (driver’s seat)

The lumbar support feature provides lower back support to the driver. Move the lever up or down to adjust the seat lumbar area.

FRONT POWER SEAT ADJUSTMENT (if so equipped)

WARNING

● Do not adjust the driver’s seat while driving so full attention may be given to vehicle operation. The seat may move suddenly and could cause loss of control of the vehicle.

● Do not leave children unattended inside the vehicle.They could unknowingly activate switches or controls. Unattended children could become involved in serious accidents.

Operating tips

● The power seat motor has an auto-reset overload protection circuit. If the motor stops during operation, wait 30 seconds, then reactivate the switch.

● Do not operate the power seat switch for a long period of time when the engine is off. This will discharge the battery.

Forward and backward

Moving the switch forward or backward will slide the seat forward or backward to the desired position.

Reclining

Move the recline switch backward until the desired angle is obtained. To bring the seatback forward again, move the switch forward and move your body forward. The seatback will move forward.

Push the front or rear end of the switch up or down to adjust the angle and height of the seat cushion.

Lumbar support (driver’s seat)

The lumbar support feature provides lower back support to the driver. Move the lever up or down to adjust the seat lumbar area.

Reclining

To recline the seatback, pull up on the lever and lean back.

The recline feature allows adjustment of the seat back for occupants of different sizes to help obtain proper seat belt fit (see “Precautions on seat belt usage” later in this section). Also, the seatback can be reclined to allow occupants to rest when the vehicle is stopped.

Tip up for easy entry to the 3rd row

The 2nd row captain’s chairs can be tipped forward foreasy entryor exitfrom the3rd rowbench seat. To enter the 3rd row bench seat lift up on the lever located on the lower base of the 2nd row captain’s chair to tip the seat forward. To exit the 3rd row bench seat pull back on the lever on the lowerbase of the 2nd row captain’s chair and push the seat forward.

3RD ROW BENCH SEAT ADJUSTMENT

Reclining

Lift up on the latchin thecenter of the seatback to adjust the back of the seat. Release the latch to lock the seatback into position.

WARNING

● After adjustment,gently rockin theseat to make sure it is securely locked.

ACTIVE HEAD RESTRAINT (front seats, if so equipped)

WARNING

● Always adjust the head restraints properly as specified inthe previoussection. Failure to do so can reduce the effectiveness of the active head restraint.

● Active head restraints are designed to supplement other safety systems. Always wear seat belts. No system can prevent all injuries in any accident.

● Do not attach anything to the head restraint stalks. Doing so could impair active head restraint function.

The head restraint moves forward utilizing the force that the seatback receives from the occupant in a rear-end collision. The movement of the head restrainthelps supportthe occupant’shead by reducing its backward movement and helping absorb some of the forces that may lead to whiplash type injuries.

Active head restraints are effective for collisions at low to medium speeds in which it is said that whiplash injury occurs most.

Active head restraints operate only in certain rear-end collisions. After the collision, the head restraints return to their original positions.

Properly adjust the active head restraints as described earlier in this section.

WARNING

Head restraints should be adjusted properly as they may provide significant protection against injury in an accident. Do not remove them. Check the adjustment after someone else uses the seat.

HEAD RESTRAINT ADJUSTMENT

To raise the head restraint, pull it up. To lower, push and hold the lock knob and push the head restraint down.

The 2nd row captain’s chairs and the 3rd row bench seat head restraints are removable for storage. See “Head restraint storage”later in this owner’s manual. The front seat head restraints are not removable.

Adjust the head restraint so the center is level with the center of your ears.

ARMRESTS

To use the armrests, pull them down to the resting position.

Adjustable armrest (if so equipped)

The front seat and 2nd row captain’s chair is equipped with an adjustable armrest, pull it down to the resting position. Adjust the armrest to the desired position by raising the armrest to the desired height and releasing the armrest. To readjust the armrest to a lower position, raise the

armrest to the stowed position, then pull it to the resting position and adjust to the desired height.

FLEXIBLE SEATING

WARNING

● Never allow anyone to ride in the cargo area or on the rear seats when they are in the fold-down position. In a collision, people riding in these areas without proper restraints are more likely to be seriously injured or killed.

● Do not allow people to ride in any area of your vehicle that is not equipped with seats and seat belts. Be sure everyone in your vehicle is in a seat and using a seat belt properly.

● Do not fold down the rear seats when occupants are in the rear seat area or any luggage is on the rear seats.

● Head restraints should be adjusted properly as they may provide significant protection against injury in an accident. Always replace and adjust them properly if they have been removed for any reason.

● If the head restraints are removed for any reason, they should be securely stored to prevent them from causing injury to passengers or damage to the vehicle in case of sudden braking or an accident.

● When returning the seatbacks to the upright position, be certain they are completely secured in the latched position. If they are not completely secured, passengers may be injured in an accident or sudden stop.

● Properly secure all cargo to help prevent it from sliding or shifting. Do not place cargo higher than the seatbacks. In asudden stop or collision, unsecured cargo could cause personal injury.

Folding

To fold the seatback forward, for cargo hauling, lift up on the recline lever and fold the seatback over the seat base.

Folding the 2nd row captain’s chair

To fold the 2nd row captain’s chairs to the

floor for maximum cargo hauling, remove the head restraints. Remove the head restraints by lifting up, then push and hold the release knob and place them in the storage bag. Make sure to secure the storage bag, see “Head restraint storage” in the “Instrument and controls” section of this Owner’s Manual.

Lift up on the recline lever to fold the seat-

back forward on the seat base.

Push down on the small knob on the back of

the seat to release the base of the seat.

Then fold the entire seat forward into the

stowed position in the floor.

Reverse this process to return the 2nd row

captain’s chairs to a seating position. Make sure to properly install the head restraints and to push the seats down into thefloor until they latch into place.

Folding

To fold the seatback forward, for cargo hauling, lift up on the latch in the center of theseatback to fold the seatback over the seat base.

Folding the 3rd row bench seat

WARNING

● The 3rd row bench seat is heavy. Be careful when folding and unfolding.

● To avoid injury to yourself or others, keep hands and body clear of floor opening when folding.

To fold the 3rd row bench seat flat into the

floor, for maximum cargo hauling, remove all three head restraints. Remove the head restraint by lifting up, then push and hold the release button and continue lifting. Then place them in the storage bag. Make sure to secure the storage bag. See “Head restraint storage” in the “Instrument and controls” section of this Owner’s Manual.

Disconnect and secure the center seat belt

and tongues into the retractor base. See “Stowing rear center seat belt” later in this section. Then push the button in the center of theseatback whilepulling back on the pull strap to release the back of the seat. Rotate the seatback toward the back of the vehicle.

Pull up on the lever located on the back of

the seat base. This will fold the seat base toward the back of the vehicle.

The entire seat will rotate toward you and

stow flat in the floor.

The rear seat anchors are spring loaded and

can be folded into the side panels to maximize cargo space. The anchors are held in the folded position by the items in the cargo area. When the load is removed from the cargo area, the rear seat anchors automatically return to the unfolded position.

6. Reverse this process to return the bench seat to a seating position. Make sure to

properly install the head restraints, push the bench seat down into the floor, and pull back on the seatback until they latch into place.
