for the W 5965 WPS
washing machine

These short instructions are not a substitute
for the Operating instructions supplied with the appliance.

Please read the Operating instructions supplied with
your washing machine before using it for the first time and
take note of the Warning and Safety instructions as well
as the full descriptions on how to use your machine.

Brief instructions

A Prepare the laundry

Empty all pockets.

Foreign objects (e.g. nails,

,

coins, paper clips, etc.) can cause
damage to garments and
components in the machine.

B Sort the laundry

^ Sort the laundry by colour and by

care label. Most garments have a
textile care label in the collar or side
seam.

C Switch on the washing machine

The interior drum lighting will come on.

It will go out a few minutes later to
save energy. To switch the drum
lighting back on, press the Door
button.

D Select a programme

You have two possibilities for selecting
a programme:

Via the programme selector:

^ Turn the programme selector to the

required programme.

or

Via the programmable function Further
programmes/Settings 4:

and other programmes will be shown
in the display.

Push the X or Y button to select the

programme you want. Confirm with
OK.

The selected programme will appear in
the display.

E Select a temperature / spin speed

Push the X or Y button to change the

F Selecting Extras

When selecting Further extras 4,

you may select from one of the
following Extras: Water plus, Extra
rinse, Pre-wash, Soak or Rinse hold.

G Selecting stains

You can select different stain options to
achieve the optimum washing result.
Extras will be automatically activated
with the wash cycle, depending on the
stains selected. With some stain
options you will receive additional tips
on how to pre-treat the stains. You can
select up to three stains per
programme.

If "Short" was selected previously, it will
be deactivated automatically.

Select any Extras by pressing the
appropriate button. The relevant
indicator light will come on to show
which Extra has been selected.

Press the Stains button.

Leave the Stains sub-menu by
pressing the Stains 4 button.
