Unlike most heating and cooling systems, which are divided into outdoor and indoor sections, a “packaged” system includes all the components necessary to heat and/or cool your home in one, convenient unit.
Advanced Technology
Two-stage cooling operates at lower capacity during mild summer days and at full capacity during hotter ones. Because these units run at a reduced capacity, they provide better comfort
and perform more quietly than single-stage units.
The fixed-speed ECM direct-drive motor provides higher torque and operating speeds for improved airflow capacity.
Maytag® 15 SEER/8.0 HSPF and 14 SEER/8.0 HSPF packaged heat pumps provide electric heating and cooling. During warmer months, they collect heat from the air in your home and move it to the outside. In winter, the process reverses, and the heat pump collects heat from air outside to warm the air inside your home.
Supplemental heater kits can also be installed with Maytag® packaged air conditioners to heat the home. Your select Maytag® contractor can recommend the appropriate packaged product and accessories for your home.
Corrosion Protection
These models feature polyester, urethane-coated galvanized steel with a 950-hour salt spray finish, which protects the unit from corrosion 50% better than other coatings.
