Procedure:

Instructions for replacing Long Ceramic Ignitor with Short Ceramic Ignitor.

Installation should be made by qualified service personnel. (Some parts supplied with assembly may not be used on all models.)

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:

1.Disconnect electrical power supply to the cooking appliance.

2.Replace long ceramic body ignitor with short ceramic body. If you have a model equipped with mounting brackets different from the one supplied, or cannot use the one supplied, retain any original mounting brackets for reuse, if needed.

3.Determine the lead lengths needed for making the new electrical wire nut connections.

4.Determine if the disconnect blocks are reusable; if not, cut the disconnect block off and strip the wires 3/8" bare and cut the disconnect block off new ignitor and strip wire 3/8" bare, then connect the new ignitor to the harness leads using the furnished ceramic wire nuts.

NOTE: Four (4) different styles of disconnect blocks are supplied, replace the same style in position on wire as was on old ignitor being removed.

5.Attach the new ignitor to the burner. Route the leads away from the flame area.

6.Place pad of insulation in opening and run wire through it (whether you have the bracket or not).

NOTE: Be sure that disconnect block is pushed all the way through the insulation, but in clear area behind insulation.
