Phenomenon
The separation pad (PAD FRONT SEP) was peeled off which is attached to the paper feed guide (UPPER
GUIDE B) in the DP unit and a failure occurred in field
Cause
The PAD FRONT SEP might have been peeled off together with the paper at the same time when the jammed
paper was pulled out to clear paper jam.
Content of Changes
Double-faced tape is used to attach the PAD FRONT SEP to UPPER GUIDE B.
The adhesive material of double-faced tapes was changed to the one with more adhesion strength for the
material of PAD FRONT SEP (urethane) and the material of UPPER GUIDE B (resin).
Due to this change, the shape remains unchanged.
