Item Contents
1 Service call SC400 has been added to
detect full-page solid images as a print
failure.
Phenomenon
A full-page solid image may appear on the print-out.
Cause
No main charge is applied to the drum unit.
Solution
The full-page solid image is detected as a failure and service call SC400 is detected to stop the paper
ejection.
Service call SC400 release procedure
1. Remove jammed paper if it resides inside the machine.
2. Clean the TM sensor by opening the top cover.
3. Turn the main switch OFF and ON, and check if service call SC400 occurs again.

2 Change of the AIO (all in one cartridge)
behaviour when toner is depleted.
4. If the service call SC400 reappears, turn the main switch OFF and check the drum in the AIO cartridge.
4.1. If the toner is adhered all around the drum, replace the AIO cartridge.
4.2. If this is not the case, the problem is caused by the TM sensor which should be replaced,
according to the procedure in the
service manual.
5. Turn the main switch ON and check if service call SC400 has been cleared.
Explanation Enforced printing is a function to limit the number of pages that can be printed, to indicate to the user
that the toner in the AIO is almost depleted. The toner level can only be determined based on the number of printed pages in combination with the toner coverage.
3 Change of the AIO (all in one cartridge)
behaviour when opening/closing the cover..
Phenomenon In case of repeated start-up of the machine, the
toner may be used up before enforced printing is disabled.
Solution
The toner consumption will be monitored during enforced printing, so that enforced printing will be disabled when the toner is depleted.
The AIO can no longer function when the cover is opened and closed. (even when enforced printing is disabled)
