Before You Begin

NOTE: This product may be installed as freestanding (installed onto riser tubes) or deck-mount (installed onto the bath deck). Follow the sections that pertain to your installation.

For Freestanding Installations

NOTICE: Discard the following hardware provided with the bath ﬁller: support plate (1), threaded brass tubes (2), nuts (4), ﬁber washers (4), and screws (8).

NOTICE: Do not remove the protective wrap from the riser tubes until instructed to do so.

For All Installations

Observe all local plumbing and building codes. Shut off the water supply.

IMPORTANT! For proper drainage of the spout, install the bath ﬁller to a level surface.

No change in measurements if connected with the drain illustrated (K-11344).

To properly plan for the installation, use the cut-out template provided with your bath along with the roughing-in dimensions above.

Roughing-In – Deck-Mount

NOTE: If the bath ﬁller is installed with the K-11343 drop-in bath, ensure the distance between the centerline of each marked hole and the ﬂange contacting the bath deck is a maximum of 4″ (102 mm).

To ensure that water will not drip outside of the bath, properly position the faucet on the deck so the outlet will be located inside the bath.

To properly plan for the installation, use the cut-out template provided with your bath along with the roughing-in dimensions above.

1. Assemble the Bath Filler

NOTE: The bath ﬁller arms are NOT identical. The setscrew holes on the long end of the arms should face each other.

Determine the left and right side arms. Apply lubricant (provided) to the O-rings on the bath ﬁller body. Attach the short end of the arms to the bath ﬁller body. Usinga3mmhexwrench, secure each arm with a large setscrew. Orient the handshower bracket with the large side of the taper

facing up.

NOTE: The handshower bracket should be assembled perpendicular to the arm so the handshower hangs over the bath.

Slide the handshower bracket onto the arm for the hot water supply.

Using a 5/16″ hex wrench, tighten the small setscrews to secure the bracket at the desired height.

2. Prepare the Site – Freestanding

Use the template provided with the riser tubes to mark the location of the water supply lines from the bath drain.

Verify the distances between the centerlines of the holes according to the dimensions above.

Drill the supply holes using a 1-5/8” drill bit or hole saw. Insert the riser support through the holes. Secure to the subﬂoor

with eight wood screws (provided).

NOTE: To protect the riser support from debris when installing the ﬁnished ﬂoor, position the thread protectors (provided) in the holes.

Install 1/2″ water supply tubing. The total tubing height from the ﬁnished ﬂoor with a 1/2″ NPT male connector should be 21-9/16″ (548 mm).

Install the ﬁnished ﬂoor. Solder 1/2″ NPT male copper connections to the water supply

lines. Verify the height to the top of these connections is 21-9/16″ (548 mm) from the ﬁnished ﬂoor.

Apply thread sealant to the male connection on each water supply tube.

3. Install the Riser Tubes – Freestanding

Thread the riser tubes fully into the riser support but do not completely tighten the tubes.

NOTE: The distance from the ﬁnished ﬂoor to the top of the installed coupling assemblies should be 24-7/16″ (621 mm).

Thread a coupling assembly onto each water supply connection, then tighten with a wrench. Verify the height to the top of the coupling assemblies is 24-7/16″ (621 mm) from the ﬁnished ﬂoor.

Install the plastic pipe plugs (provided) into the coupling assemblies.

Turn on the water supply. Check for leaks. Adjust as needed. Turn off the water supply. Remove and discard the pipe plugs. Unthread the riser tubes out of the riser support and onto the

coupling assemblies until hand-tight. Slide a gasket and escutcheon over each riser tube down to the

ﬁnished ﬂoor. Position the setscrew holes toward the bath. Using a 5/16″ hex wrench, secure each escutcheon with a small

setscrew.

4. Construct the Tee Assembly – Freestanding

Thread the fastener support into the side of the bath with a 1/4″ hex wrench. Do not overtighten.

Ensure the distance from the head of the fastener support to the bath surface is approximately 1/2″ (13 mm).

Thread the fastener rod into the fastener support. Thread a bracket onto one end of the tee rod until hand tight. Slide the tee rod through the tee. Handtighten the remaining bracket onto the other end of the tee

rod.

5. Complete the Installation – Freestanding

Remove the protective wrap from the riser tubes. Slide the tee assembly onto the riser tubes with the setscrew holes

facing down. Do not secure the tee assembly at this time. Apply lubricant (supplied) to the O-rings on the coupling

assemblies. Insert the bath ﬁller arms onto the coupling assemblies. Ensure

the arms are ﬂush against the top of the riser tubes. Secure the arms to the coupling assemblies with the large

setscrews. Slide the tee assembly up to cover the seam between the arms

and the riser tubes. Insert the fastener rod to the center of the tee assembly. Secure the tee assembly with two small setscrews on the

underside of the tee. Secure the brackets with small setscrews. Proceed to the ″Install the Handshower″ section.

6. Prepare the Site – Deck-Mount

NOTE: Provide an access panel under the bath deck for water supply connections.

NOTE: Reference the ″Rough-In – Deck-Mount″ section of this guide before proceeding.

Position the support plate on the bath deck where the water supply tubing will be located. Trace the holes.

Verify that the location of the plate will allow the bath ﬁller spout to reach into the bath.

Verify the distance between the centerline of the marked holes is 5-15/16” (151 mm).

NOTE: If a hole saw will be used, drill outside the line of the marked holes.

Drill the holes using a 1-9/16” drill bit or 1-1/2″ hole saw. Remove any debris after drilling.

Verify the drilled holes will accommodate the riser tubes. Adjust the hole diameter slightly, if needed.

Secure the support plate to the unﬁnished bath deck with the eight (provided) wood screws.

7. Install the Spout – Deck-Mount

Thread the tubes into the support plate. Place a ﬁber washer and handtighten a nut on both ends of the

tubes. Verify the top of the tube is ﬂush with the surface of the intended

ﬁnished deck. Tighten the nuts with a wrench. Solder a 1/2″ NPT male copper connector (not supplied) to a 12″

(305 mm) section of each water supply tube. Apply thread sealant to the male copper connections. Tighten the coupling assemblies to the male connections. Thread the coupling assemblies into the tubes. Use a wrench to

fully tighten the assemblies into the tubes. Connect the supply tubes to the main water supply. Insert the pipe plugs into the coupling assemblies. Turn on the water supply. Check connections for leaks. Adjust as needed. Turn off the water supply, then remove and discard the pipe

plugs. Finish the bath deck.

8. Install the Bath Filler – Deck-Mount

Place a gasket and escutcheon over each coupling assembly. Face the setscrew hole on each escutcheon toward each other. Apply lubricant (supplied) to the O-rings on the coupling

assemblies. Slide the arms of the bath ﬁller over the coupling assemblies. Secure the arms to the coupling assemblies with the large

setscrews. Secure each escutcheon in place with a small setscrew.

9. Install the Handshower

Thread the 45° elbow with the screen washer to the handshower. Thread the hose end with the O-ring and washer to the 45°

elbow. Thread the hose end with the nut and washer to the diverter

outlet on the underside of the bath ﬁller body. Securely tighten both ends of the hose with a wrench. Slide the handshower into the handshower bracket.

10. Optional Temperature Limiting Adjustment

NOTE: The water temperature does not need to be adjusted if it is below 105°F (41°C).

NOTE: Before adjusting the water temperature, ensure the handle is turned all the way to the left. This is the maximum hot position.

Remove the plug button, setscrew, handle, and bonnet. Reposition the indexer to stop the valve stem at the desired

maximum temperature. Allow the water to ﬂow through the spout and rotate the valve

stem to the full hot position. Use a thermometer to check the temperature. Repeat the above procedures until the desired temperature is

reached. Reinstall the bonnet, handle, setscrew, and plug button.

11. Installation Checkout

Ensure all connections are tight. Using the key provided, remove the aerator from the spout. Turn on the main water supply. Tilt down and rotate the handle to the full hot position. Run hot

water for 1 minute to remove any debris. Rotate the handle to the full cold position. Run cold water for 1

minute to remove any debris. Check for leaks. Adjust as needed. Lift the handshower out of the handshower bracket. Push the diverter button to activate the handshower. Check for leaks at each end of the handshower hose. Adjust as

needed. Return the handle to a level position to turn the water off. Place the handshower back into the handshower bracket. Reinstall the aerator.

Care and Cleaning

For best results, keep the following in mind when caring for your KOHLER product:

Use a mild detergent such as liquid dishwashing soap and warm water for cleaning. Do not use abrasive cleaners that may scratch or dull the surface.

Carefully read the cleaner product label to ensure the cleaner is safe for use on the material.

•

Always test your cleaning solution on an inconspicuous area before applying to the entire surface.

•

Do not allow cleaners to sit or soak on the surface.

•

Wipe surfaces clean and rinse completely with water immediately after cleaner application. Rinse and dry any overspray that lands on nearby surfaces.

•

Use a soft, dampened sponge or cloth. Never use an abrasive material such as a brush or scouring pad to clean surfaces.

KOHLER®Faucet Lifetime Limited Warranty

Kohler Co. warrants its Faucets* manufactured after January 1, 1997, to be leak and drip free during normal residential use for as long as the original consumer purchaser owns his or her home. If the Faucet should leak or drip during normal use, Kohler Co. will, free of charge, mail to the purchaser the cartridge necessary to put the Faucet in good working condition. This warranty applies only to Kohler Faucets installed in the United States of America, Canada or Mexico (″North America″).

Kohler Co. also warrants all other aspects of the faucet or accessories (″Faucet″)*, (except gold, non-Vibrant of defects in material and workmanship during normal residential use for as long as the original consumer purchaser owns his or her home. This warranty applies only to Kohler Faucets installed in North America. If a defect is found in normal residential use, Kohler Co. will, at its election, repair, provide a replacement part or product, or make appropriate adjustment. Damage to a product caused by accident, misuse, or abuse is not covered by this warranty. Improper care and cleaning will void the warranty**. Proof of purchase (original sales receipt) must be provided to Kohler Co. with all warranty claims. Kohler Co. is not responsible for labor charges, installation, or other

If the Faucet is used commercially or is installed outside of North America, or if the ﬁnish is gold, non-Vibrant or a painted or powder coated color ﬁnish, Kohler Co. warrants the Faucet to be free from defects in material and workmanship for one (1) year from the date the product is installed, under Kohler Co.’s standard one-year limited warranty.

**Never use cleaners containing abrasive cleansers, ammonia, bleach, acids, waxes, alcohol, solvents or other products not recommended for chrome. This will void the warranty.

KOHLER CO. It is recommended that at the time of purchase, you verify that all

accessories and components are complete in this package. This Kohler product is warranted to be free of defects in material and

workmanship for one (1) year from the date of purchase as shown on the invoice or receipt.

1. Kohler Co. will only service its commercialized products through its authorized distributors.

2. To obtain warranty service, please present the invoice and corresponding warranty.

3. Through its authorized distributors, Kohler Co. promises to repair the defective product or provide a new replacement or an equivalent model (in those cases that the model has been discontinued) when the product is beyond repair, without any charge to the consumer.

4. The time of repair will not exceed six (6) weeks commencing on the date the product is received.

5. It is recommended that the consumer save the invoice or receipt as additional protection, as it may substitute the warranty in the case that there is a discrepancy in the validity of the warranty.

EXCEPTIONS AND RESTRICTIONS The Warranty will not be valid in the following cases:

1. When the product is not operated in accordance with the instructions concerning use and operation set forth in the owner’s manual or installation instructions, and when the recommendations and warnings included are not observed.

2. When the product has been modiﬁed or dismantled partially or totally; or has been used in a negligent fashion and as a consequence has suffered damages attributable to the consumer, individual, or hardware not authorized by Kohler Co.

3. This warranty does not cover the damages as a result of disaster such as ﬁre or acts of God, including ﬂooding, earthquake, or electric
