The Rear Multimedia System
fitted to your vehicle allows you
to control all of the available
audio and video signals via the
switchpack fitted within the rear
armrest.
The control options allow rear
seat passengers to control the
output for the vehicle interior as
a whole, or independently for left
or right headphones and video
screens.
Please note that it is essential to
refer to the Rear Multimedia
Handbook for complete
operation and safety information.
SWITCHING ON
Ensure that the ignition is
switched to position I or II (or the
engine is running).
OPERATING MODES
There are two modes of
operation/control:
1. Cabin (speakers) mode –
controls the output from the
speakers inside the vehicle.
2. Headphone mode – controls
the output from the left or
right headphones.
Cabin (speakers) mode
Press the rotary control (B) to
switch on.
Press button (A) to select cabin
mode. When in cabin mode,
all subsequent key presses on the
switchpack will control the audio
output to the cabin speakers.
Rotate the control (B) to alter the
volume level.
When the system is in cabin
mode the LED will illuminate on
button (A), and the switchpack
display will show a single display.
Headphone mode
Headphone mode controls the
operation of left and right
heaphones (where supplied).
In headphone mode the tell-tale
LED on the LEFT or RIGHT
buttons (D) or (F) will indicate
which side is currently being
controlled. The switchpack
display will be split into two –
showing left and right settings.
Left headphones
Press the rotary control (C) to
switch on.
Press button (D) to select LEFT
headphone mode.
Rotate the control to alter the
volume level.
(E) Left headphone connector.
Right headphones
Press the rotary control (B) to
switch on.
Press button (F) to select RIGHT
headphone mode.
Rotate the control to alter the
volume level.
(G) Right headphone connector.
Tip: Check the switchpack display
and tell-tale LED’s to verify which
mode the system is in.
SYSTEM LOCKED
If SYSTEM LOCKED is displayed
on the switchpack display the
system has been locked from the
front audio unit.
There are two levels of lockout:
1. Lock – prevents any operation
from the rear.
2. Headphone only – allows
control and use of the rear
headphones, but not cabin
(speakers) mode.
AUDIO SELECTION
Press button (H) repeatedly until
the name of the audio source that
you wish to listen to is shown on
the switchpack display.
Tip: Using the AUDIO SELECT
button will change only the audio,
and will not alter the selection of
video media shown on the video
display screens.

RADIO CONTROLS
Press and release button (K) to
seek up, or button (J) to seek
down, to the next station.
Press and release a number
from (I) to select a preset station
from 1 – 9.
Tip: Storing preset stations can
only be carried out from the front
audio unit.

CD, MINIDISC AND
TAPE CONTROLS
Once a CD, MiniDisc or cassette
tape has been inserted and
selected as the audio source, play
will commence automatically.
To stop play select another audio
source.
Press and hold button (J) or (K) to
fast forward/rewind. Press and
release button (J) or (K) to skip
forward/backward to the next/
previous track.
If a CD changer is fitted and
selected as the audio source,
use buttons (L) to change the disc
selected (1 – 6).

AUXILIARY INPUTS
Z1 AUX 1 connectors for
suitable auxiliary input
devices (i.e. games console).
Z2 AUX 2 connectors for
suitable auxiliary input
devices (i.e. games console)

VIDEO DISPLAY SCREENS
Press button (M) to switch on the
video display screen.
If adjustments are required, press
and hold button (N) to dis play t he
screen settings menu. Once the
settings menu is displayed press
button (N) repeatedly to scroll
through the options.
Press buttons (O) to alter the
settings.
Tip: If the ignition is switched off
or turned to the start position
(position III) whilst the screens are
in use, they will switch off
automatically to prevent screen
damage if left on accidentally.
To continue viewing once the
ignition is returned to position I
or II it will be necessary to switch
the screen on again.
VIDEO SELECTION
Left or right selection
Press one of the (P)buttons
to select LEFT or RIGHT screen.
Press button (Q) repeatedly until
the name of the video source that
you wish to view is shown on the
switchpack display.
Transferring audio to cabin
(speakers)
Press button (R) to select cabin
(speakers) mode.
Then press button (H) repeatedly
until the name of the video
source is displayed.
DVD CONTROLS
Caution: When playing a DVD
for long periods it is
recommended that the engine
is running. Playing a DVD with
the engine not running may
cause the vehicle’s battery to
discharge, preventing the
engine from starting.
Inserting/ejecting a disk
To insert a DVD into the
DVD player push the flap (S)
down and insert the disc with the
playing side facing down (label
up).
Caution: Do not use force to
insert the disc, it will be
drawn in by the player.
To eject a disc from the
DVD player open the flap (S) and
wait for the disc to be ejected
(depending on the DVD player’s
status this may take 7 seconds).
Caution: Do not attempt to
close the flap (S) whilst
waiting for the disc to eject.
If the flap (S) is open, close it,
then open it, and wait for the
player to eject the disc.
Caution: To prevent
accidental damage to the
DVD player’s mechanism the
flap (S) should be closed
following inserting or ejecting
a disk.
Playing a movie
z
Press button (W) to start movie.
Press button (V) to stop movie.
Use buttons (T) for DVD
operation and control when
playing a movie.
FRONT AUDIO CONTROL
To recover control to the front
audio unit after playing a DVD.
Press the associated AM/FM, CD,
MD or tape switch, on the front
audio unit.
