Instructions for Use

Product description

Ready-to-use, light-curing single-component pastes in various
shades for individual characterization as an intermediate layer
in temporary restorations.

Shades

– White
– Blue
– Light-yellow
– Orange

Composition

Bis-GMA, urethane dimethacrylate and triethylene glycol
dimethacrylate, fillers, initiators, stabilizers and pigments.

Indication

Individual characterization of direct and lab-fabricated
temporary restorations (e.g. cut-back technique) made of Telio
CS C&B, Telio CAD and Telio Lab. Characterization of the
cervical area and simulation of chalky spots or enamel cracks.

Contraindications

– Surface application without Telio Incisal materials layered

onto it or any suitable temporary varnish.
– Direct application to natural teeth and/or abutments.
– The material should not be used if a patient is known to be

allergic to any of the ingredients.

Important processing notes

The following processing errors should be avoided in order to
ensure successful results with Telio Stains:
– Insufficient surface conditioning
– Combination with materials that are not approved and/or

recommended
– Insufficient polymerization

Side effects

In rare cases, components of Telio Stains may lead to sensitiza­tion. Telio Stains should not be used in such cases.

Interactions

Phenolic substances (e.g. eugenol) may inhibit polymerization.
These materials must not be used in conjunction with Telio
Stains.

Usage

Telio Stains are used in conjunction with Telio CS C&B, Telio
CAD,Telio Lab and Telio Lab LC materials. The temporary
restorations are fabricated according to the corresponding
Instructions for Use.

Application in the dental practice

• Individualization of Telio CS C&B with Telio Stains

Before Telio Stains are applied, carefully blast the surfaces

coarse diamond burs. Thoroughly rinse with water and dry
with oil-free compressed air. Then wet the areas to be
bonded to extra-orally with Telio Activator. Brush Telio
Activator into the entire surface for at least 30 seconds using
an application brush in order to ensure an even distribution
and quick penetration of Telio Activator. Subsequently, allow
the Activator to react for another 30-60 seconds (total
reaction time 1–2 minutes). Now apply the Heliobond bon­ding agent, thinly disperse it with blown air and polymerize
for 10 seconds (650 mW/cm
Apply the Stains in very thin layers of max. 0.2 mm with a
brush or other suitable instrument (e.g. thin probe). The sha­de intensity may be reduced and the consistency thinned by
mixing the stains with Heliobond. Finally,polymerize the
stains in accordance with the table below. Apply a suitable
varnish for temporaries according to the instructions of the
manufacturer.

Application in the dental laboratory

• Individualization of Telio CAD/Telio Lab with
Telio Stains

Reduce the restorations made of Telio CAD or Telio Lab in
the desired areas according to the principles of the cut-back

technique using cross-cut burs. Check the reduction (cut­back) with the silicone key. Carefully blast the ground surfa-

• Polymerization times for Telio Stains

The respective light-curing Telio components are pre­polymerized to ensure that they stay in place and to be able
to apply a further layer. However, final polymerization of the
entire restoration is always required.

Stains to intensive light during application, since this clearly
shortens the processing time. Syringes should be closed imme­diately after use. Exposure to light causes premature polyme­rization. Telio Stains must not be left at the surface of
restorations, they have to be covered (e.g. with Telio Lab LC
Transpa Incisal materials). We recommend careful polishing for
lab-fabricated temporaries.

Warning

– Contact of the uncured material with the skin, mucous

membrane or eyes must be avoided.

– Uncured Telio Stains may have a slight irritating effect and

may cause sensitization to methacrylates.

– Commercial medical gloves do not provide protection

against the sensitizing effect of methacrylates.

Storage

– Storage temperature 2-28 °C (36-82 °F).
– Shelf life: see expiry date on label/packaging.
– Do not use Telio Stains after the indicated expiry date.
– Close syringe immediately after use.

Indikation

Individuelle Charakterisierung von direkten und laborgefertig­ten temporären Restaurationen (z.B. Cut-Back Technik) aus Telio
CS C&B, Telio CAD und Telio Lab. Charakterisierung des Zahn­halsbereiches und Simulation von Kalkflecken oder Schmelz­sprüngen.

Kontraindikationen

– Anwendung auf der Oberfläche ohne Überschichtung mit

Telio Incisal-Massen oder einem geeigneten Provisorienlack
– Direktapplikation auf den natürlichen Zahn bzw. Abutment
– Bei bekannter Allergie auf Inhaltstoffe ist auf eine weitere

Anwendung zu verzichten.

Wichtige Verarbeitungseinschränkungen

Bei Nichteinhaltung folgender Hinweise ist ein erfolgreiches
Arbeiten mit Telio Stains nicht gewährleistet:
– Ungenügende Oberflächenvorbehandlung (Konditionierung)
– Kombination mit nicht freigegebenen bzw. empfohlenen

Materialien
– Unzureichende Polymerisation

Nebenwirkungen

Bestandteile von Telio Stains können in seltenen Fällen zu einer
Sensibilisierung führen. In diesen Fällen ist auf die weitere Ver­wendung zu verzichten.

Wechselwirkungen

Phenolische Substanzen (z.B. Eugenol) inhibieren die Aushär­tung. Auf die Verwendung solcher Materialien zusammen mit
Telio Stains ist zu verzichten.

Anwendung

Telio Stains werden in Verbindung mit Telio CS C&B, Telio CAD,
Telio Lab und Telio Lab LC Massen eingesetzt. Die Erstellung der
temporären Restauration erfolgt entsprechend den jeweiligen
Verarbeitungsanleitungen.

Zahnärztliche Anwendungen

• Individualisierung von Telio CS C&B mit Telio Stains

Vor Auftrag der Telio Stains die Flächen sorgfältig abstrahlen

gesamten Fläche einmassieren, um eine gleichmässige Ver­teilung und ein schnelleres Eindringen zu erreichen. Ansch­liessend den Activator weitere 30– 60 Sek. einwirken lassen
(Gesamteinwirkzeit 1–2 Min.). Nun den Haftvermittler
Heliobond auftragen, dünn verblasen und 10 Sek.

Telio Stains werden in sehr dünnen Schichten von max.
0,2 mm mit einem Pinsel oder einem anderen geeigneten
Instrument (z.B. dünne Sonde) appliziert. Durch Zumischen
von Heliobond lässt sich die Farbintensität abschwächen und
die Konsistenz verdünnen. Anschliessend gemäss unten
stehender Tabelle polymerisieren. Auftrag eines geeigneten
Lackes für Provisorien gemäss Herstellerangaben.

Zahntechnische Anwendungen

• Individualisierung von Telio CAD/Telio Lab mit Telio
Stains

Die Restaurationen aus Telio CAD oder Telio Lab im ge­wünschten Bereich analog der Cut-Back Technik mittels

kreuzverzahnter Fräsen zurückschleifen. Mittels Silikonschlüs­sel die Reduktion (Cut-Back) überprüfen. Die beschliffenen
Flächen sorgfältig abstrahlen (Al
tels Dampfreinigungsgerät reinigen und mit ölfreier Druckluft
trocknen.
TelioActivator dazu gleichmässig, aber grosszügig auf der
vorbehandelten Fläche auftragen und mindestens 2 bis

maximal 4 Min. einwirken lassen.
Auf die aktivierte Oberfläche SR Composiv gemäss dessen
Gebrauchsinformation auftragen und polymerisieren.
Daran anschliessend können die konditionierten Bereiche mit
Telio Stains individualisiert werden. Hierzu Telio Stains in
sehr dünnen Schichten von (< 0,2 mm) mit einem Pinsel/
Instrument oder direkt aus der mitgelieferten dünnen Metall­kanüle applizieren. Die abschliessende Polymerisation erfolgt
in einem Lichtgerät (siehe Polymerisationstabelle).

• Polymerisationszeiten für Telio Stains

Die Vorpolymerisation dient nur zur Fixierung der jeweiligen
lichthärtenden Telio-Komponenten, damit eine weitere
Schicht auftragen zu können. Die Endpolymerisation der
gesamten Restauration hat in jedem Fall immer zu erfolgen.

Wichtig

Telio Stains bei Raumtemperatur verarbeiten damit die Telio
Stains eine geschmeidige Konsistenz haben. Telio Stains
während der Applikation nicht intensiver Beleuchtung ausset­zen, da sich die Verarbeitungszeit dadurch verkürzt. Spritzen
nach Gebrauch sofort verschliessen, Lichtzutritt führt zur vorzei­tigen Polymerisation. Telio Stains dürfen nicht direkt an der
Oberfläche einer Restauration liegen, sie müssen überschichtet
werden (z.B. mit Telio Lab LC Transpa Incisal Massen). Für labor­gefertigte Provisorien empfehlen wir eine sorgfältige Politur.

Warnhinweise

– Kontakt von unausgehärtetem Material mit Haut/Schleim-

haut und Augen vermeiden.

– Telio Stains können im unausgehärteten Zustand leicht rei-

zend wirken und in seltenen Fällen zu einer Sensibilisierung
auf Methacrylate führen.

– Handelsübliche medizinische Handschuhe bieten keinen

wirksamen Schutz gegen den sensibilisierenden Effekt von
Methacrylaten.

Lagerungs- und Aufbewahrungshinweise

– Lagertemperatur 2 – 28 °C
– Haltbarkeit siehe Ablaufdatum auf Etikett / Verpackung
– Telio Stains nach Ablauf des Verfalldatums nicht mehr ver-

wenden.

Caractérisation individuelle des restaurations provisoires

Caractérisation des zones cervicales et reproduction des taches
de décalcification ou des fêlures d’émail.

Contre-indications

– Caractérisation de surface sans recouvrement d’une couche

de Telio Incisal ou d’un autre vernis provisoire approprié.

− Application directe sur les dents naturelles et/ou sur les

− Allergie connue du patient à l'un des composants de Telio

Restrictions de mise en œuvre importantes

Eviter les erreurs de mise en oeuvre suivantes afin d’obtenir les

– Polymérisation insuffisante

Effets secondaires

Les composants de Telio Stains peuvent parfois conduire à une
sensibilisation. Dans ce cas, ne plus utiliser le produit.

Interactions

Les matériaux contenant des substances phénoliques (par ex.
de l’eugénol) peuvent inhiber la polymérisation. Ne pas utiliser
ces matériaux en conjonction avec Telio Stains.

Utilisation

Les pâtes Telio Stains sont utilisées en conjonction avec les
matériaux Telio CS C&B, Telio CAD, Telio Lab et Telio Lab LC. Les
restaurations provisoires sont fabriquées conformément aux
modes d’emploi correspondants.

Utilisation au cabinet dentaire

• Caractérisation des restaurations en Telio CS C&B avec
Telio Stains

Avant d’appliquer Telio Stains, sabler (Al
1-2 bar) ou dépolir soigneusement la surface à l'aide de
pointes diamantées. Bien rincer à l’eau et sécher avec de l’air
exempt de graisse. Humidifier, hors de la bouche, les zones à
caractériser avec Telio Activator. Appliquer l’activateur sur
toute la surface et le faire pénétrer de manière régulière à
l'aide d'un pinceau pendant 30 secondes. Le laisser ensuite
agir pendant encore 30 à 60 s (temps total : de 1 à 2 min).
Puis appliquer une fine couche d’adhésif Heliobond et
polymériser pendant 10 s avec une lampe à photo­polymériser (d’une intensité lumineuse d’environ
650 mW/cm², par ex. bluephase
Appliquer Telio Stains en couches très fines (épaisseur
maximale de 0,2 mm) à l’aide d’un pinceau ou tout autre
instrument adapté (par ex. une sonde fine). L’intensité de la
teinte peut être atténuée et la consistance rendue plus fluide
en mélangeant les stains avec Heliobond. Polymériser les
stains conformément au tableau ci-dessous. Puis, appliquer
un vernis approprié pour les restaurations provisoires selon
les indications du fabricant.

Utilisation au laboratoire de prothèse

• Caractérisation des restaurations en Telio CAD/Telio
Lab avec Telio Stains

Réduire les restaurations fabriquées en Telio CAD ou Telio
Lab dans les zones désirées selon les principes de la
technique du cut-back, en utilisant des fraises à denture
croisée. Contrôler la réduction (le cut-back) avec une clé en
silicone. Sabler soigneusement les surfaces dépolies (Al
100 µm, 1-2 bar). Puis, nettoyer au jet de vapeur et sécher
avec de l’air exempt de graisse.
Appliquer Telio Activator de manière régulière et généreuse
sur la surface conditionnée et le laisser agir pendant 2 à
4 min.
Appliquer SR Composiv sur la surface activée conformément
au mode d’emploi correspondant et polymériser.
Les zones conditionnées peuvent ensuite être caractérisées
avec Telio Stains. Appliquer Telio Stains en couches très fines
(épaisseur maximale de 0,2 mm) à l’aide d’un pinceau, de
tout autre instrument adapté ou directement depuis la fine
canule en métal fournie.
La polymérisation est effectuée dans un photopolymérisateur
(voir le tableau ci-dessous).

• Temps de polymérisation pour Telio Stains

La pré-polymérisation des composants photopolymérisables
de Telio assure leur tenue lors de l'application des couches
successives. Cependant, la polymérisation finale de la
restauration complète est toujours nécessaire.

Important

Telio Stains doit être à température ambiante lors de la mise en
oeuvre afin d’assurer une consistance optimale. Ne pas exposer
Telio Stains à une lumière intensive pendant l’application car
cela réduit de manière importante le temps d’utilisation. Les
seringues doivent être refermées immédiatement après
utilisation. Une exposition à la lumière provoque une
polymérisation prématurée. Les matérieux Telio Stains ne
doivent pas être utilisés en surface des restaurations sans être
recouverts (par ex. avec les matériaux Telio Lab LC Transpa
Incisal). Nous recommandons un polissage soigneux des
restaurations provisoires fabriquées au laboratoire.

Mises en garde

– Eviter le contact du matériau Telio Stains non polymérisé

avec la peau, les muqueuses et les yeux.

− Le matériau Telio Stains non polymérisé peut provoquer de
légères irritations et conduire à une sensibilisation aux
méthacrylates.

− Les gants médicaux disponibles dans le commerce n'offrent
pas de protection contre les effets sensibilisants des
méthacrylates.

Conditions de stockage et de conservation

– Température de stockage : 2–28 °C.
– Validité : voir la date de péremption sur l'emballage ou sur

l'étiquette.

– Ne pas utiliser Telio Stains au-delà de la date de péremption.
– Refermer les seringues aussitôt après utilisation.

Descrizione

Paste monocomponente fotopolimerizzabili pronte all’uso, in
diversi colori, da applicare come strato intermedio per la
caratterizzazione individuale di restauri provvisori.

Colori

– White
– Blue
– Light-yellow

Composizione

Bis-GMA, uretandimetacrilato, trietilenglicolmetacrilato,
riempitivi, stabilizzatori, iniziatori e pigmenti

Indicazioni

Caratterizzazione individuale di restauri provvisori diretti o
realizzati in laboratorio (p.e. tecnica cut back) in Telio CS C&B,
Telio CAD e Telio Lab. Caratterizzazione della zona del colletto e
simulazione di calcificazioni o fratture dello smalto.

Controindicazioni

– Uso sulla superficie del restauro senza successiva copertura

con uno strato di massa incisale Telio o idonea lacca per

provvisori
– Applicazione diretta sul moncone o dente naturale
– In caso di allergia nota del paziente ad uno qualsiasi dei

componenti.

Importanti limitazioni alla lavorazione

In caso di mancato rispetto delle seguenti avvertenze non è
possibile assicurare il successo della lavorazione con Telio
Stains:
– insufficiente pretrattamento della superficie (condizionamento)
– combinazione con materiali non approvati o non consigliati
– insufficiente polimerizzazione

Effetti collaterali

I componenti di Telio Stains in rari casi possono provocare
sensibilizzazione. In tal caso sospenderne l’utilizzo.

Interazioni

Le sostanze fenoliche (p.e. l’eugenolo) possono inibire la poli­merizzazione. Non utilizzare queste sostanze in combinazione
con Telio Stains.

Uso

Telio Stains si usa in combinazione con Telio CS C&B, Telio CAD,
Telio Lab e masse Telio Lab LC. Per la realizzazione dei restauri
provvisori seguire le istruzioni d’uso del prodotto corrispondente.

Usi odontoiatrici

• Individualizzazione di Telio CS C&B con Telio Stains

Prima di applicare Telio Stains sabbiare accuratamente le
superfici (Al
mantata a grana grossa, sciacquare a fondo con acqua e
asciugare con getto d’aria priva di olio. Bagnare poi extra­oralmente le aree di adesione con Telio Activator, frizionan­dolo con un applicatore su tutta la superficie per almeno
30 secondi al fine di distribuire il prodotto in modo uniforme
e favorirne una più rapida penetrazione. Lasciare poi agire
l’attivatore per altri 30–60 secondi (tempo di azione totale
1–2 minuti). Applicare quindi l’adesivo Heliobond,
assottigliarlo con l’aria e polimerizzare per 10 secondi
(650 mW/cm
Telio Stains si applica in strati sottilissimi di max. 0.2 mm
con un pennello o altro strumento idoneo (p.e. una sonda
sottile). Si può attenuare l’intensità del colore e diluire la
consistenza del materiale miscelandolo con Heliobond. Suc­cessivamente polimerizzare secondo la tabella sotto
riportata. Applicare una lacca per provvisori idonea
seguendo le indicazioni del produttore.

Impieghi in odontotecnica

• Individualizzazione di Telio CAD/Telio Lab con Telio
Stains

Ridurre i restauri in Telio CAD o Telio Lab nella zona deside­rata, secondo la tecnica cut back, mediante frese a taglio
incrociato. Controllare la riduzione (cut back) con la masche-

rina in silicone. Sabbiare accuratamente le superfici fresate

asciugare con un getto d’aria priva di olio.
Applicare Telio Activator uniformemente, ma in quantità
abbondante, sulla superficie pretrattata e lasciare agire da
un minimo di 2 ad un massimo di 4 minuti.
Sulla superficie attivata applicare SR Composiv seguendo le
relative istruzioni d’uso e polimerizzare.
Le zone condizionate possono quindi essere caratterizzate
con Telio Stains. Applicare Telio Stains in strati sottilissimi
(< 0.2 mm) con un pennello o uno strumento, oppure
direttamente con la sottile cannula metallica fornita nella
confezione. La polimerizzazione finale va eseguita in un foto­polimerizzatore (vedi tabella Polimerizzazione).

• Tempi di polimerizzazione per Telio Stains

La prepolimerizzazione serve soltanto al fissaggio delle rela­tive componenti Telio, affinchè possa essere applicato un
ulteriore strato. La polimerizzazione finale dell'intero restau­ro deve comunque sempre avvenire.

Importante

Lavorare Telio Stains a temperatura ambiente, perché il pro­dotto avrà così una consistenza ideale per l’applicazione.
L’esposizione di Telio Stains a fonte luminosa intensa nella fase
di applicazione riduce il tempo di lavorazione del prodotto
Richiudere le siringhe immediatamente dopo l’uso.
L’esposizione alla luce causa la polimerizzazione precoce del
prodotto.Telio Stains non deve costituire lo strato superficiale
di un restauro, ma deve essere coperto da uno strato successivo
(p.e. di massa incisale Telio Lab LC Transpa). Per i provvisori
realizzati in laboratorio si consiglia un’accurata lucidatura.

Avvertenze

– Evitare il contatto del materiale non polimerizzato con cute,

mucose e occhi.

– Telio Stains non polimerizzato può avere un effetto legger-

mente irritante e in rari casi provocare sensibilizzazione ai
metacrilati.

– I guanti in lattice normalmente reperibili in commercio non

offrono una protezione efficace dall’effetto di sensibilizzazio­ne dei metracrilati.

Conservazione

– Conservare il materiale a 2 – 28 °C.
– Scadenza: vedere la data di scadenza sull’etichetta o sulla

confezione

– Non utilizzare Telio Stains dopo la data di scadenza.
– Richiudere la siringa immediatamente dopo l’uso.

Descripción de producto

Pastas monocomponentes, fotopolimerizables, listas para usar,
en diferentes colores, para la caracterización individual así
como para utilizar como capa intermedia en restauraciones pro­visionales.

Colores

Composición

Bis-GMA, dimetacrilato de uretano y trietilenglicoldimetacrilato,
rellenos, iniciadores, estabilizadores y pigmentos.

Indicaciones

Caracterización individual de restauraciones provisionales
directas o pre-fabricadas (p. ej. técnica de cut-back) realizadas
con Telio CS C&B, Telio CAD y Telio Lab. Caracterización del área
cervical y simulación de puntos calcáreos o fisuras de esmalte.

Contraindicaciones

– Aplicación en superficie de material sin Telio Incisal estratifi-

cado o sobre cualquier barniz provisional apropiado.
– Aplicación directa sobre dientes naturales y/o pilares.
– El material no se deberá utilizar si el paciente es alérgico a

cualquiera de sus componentes.

Avisos importantes de procesamiento

Deben evitarse los siguientes errores de procesamiento para
asegurar el éxito con Telio Stains:
– Insuficiente acondicionamiento de la superficie
– Combinación con materiales que no estén aprobados y/o

recomendados
– Insuficiente polimerización

Efectos secundarios

En casos aislados, los componentes de Telio Stains pueden
provocar sensibilización, en cuyos casos no debe utilizarse el
producto.

Interacciones

Las sustancias fenólicas (p. ej. eugenol) pueden inhibir la poli­merización. Estos materiales no deben utilizarse en combina­ción con Telio Stains.

Aplicaciones

Telio Stains se utiliza en combinación con Telio CS C&B, Telio
CAD,Telio Lab y Telio Lab LC. Las restauraciones provisionales
se elaboran de acuerdo con las correspondientes instrucciones
de uso.

Aplicación en clínica

• Individualización de Telio CS C&B con Telio Stains

Antes de aplicar Telio Stains, arene cuidadosamente las
superficies (utilizando Al
dades con fresas de diamante gruesas. Aclarar minuciosa­mente con agua y seque con aire comprimido libre de grasa.
Seguidamente humedezca las áreas a ser unidas extraoral­mente con Telio Activator. Pincele Telio Activator sobre toda
la superficie durante al menos 30 segundos utilizando un
cepillo aplicador para asegurar una distribución uniforme y
rápida penetración de Telio Activator. Seguidamente, permita
que el activador actúe otros 30-60 segundos (tiempo de
reacción total 1-2 minutos). A continuación aplique el agente
adhesivo Heliobond, dispersándolo con chorro de aire hasta
conseguir una fina capa y polimerice durante 10 segundos
(650 mW/cm
Con un pincel o cualquier otro instrumento adecuado (p. ej.
una sonda fina), aplique Stains en capas muy finas de máx.

0.2 mm. La intensidad del color se puede reducir y la
consistencia diluir mezclando los Stains con Heliobond.
Finalmente, polimerice los maquillajes de acuerdo con las
indicaciones del siguiente cuadro. Aplique un barniz
adecuado para provisionales, de acuerdo con las
instrucciones de uso del fabricante.

Aplicación en laboratorio

• Individualización de Telio CAD/Telio Lab con Telio

Stains

Reduzca las áreas deseadas de las restauraciones realizadas

con Telio CAD o Telio Lab, según los principios de la técnica

de cut-back utilizando fresas cruzadas. Revise la reducción

(cut-back) con llave de silicona. Con cuidado arene las super-

ficies fresadas Al

con vapor y seque con aire comprimido libre de grasa.

Distribuya Telio Activator uniforme y generosamente sobre la

superficie acondicionada y déjelo actuar durante al menos

2 minutos hasta un máximo de 4 minutos.

Aplique SR Composiv sobre la superficie acondicionada,

según las respectivas instrucciones de uso y polimerice.

Seguidamente, las áreas acondicionadas pueden individua-

lizarse con Telio Stains. Aplique capas muy finas de máx.

0.2 mm de Telio Stains con un pincel o cualquier otro instru-

mento apropiado o directamente de la fina cánula metálica

suministrada. La polimerización final se realiza en un apara-

to de fotopolimerización (ver cuadro de polimerización).

• Tiempos de polimerización para Telio Stains

Los respectivos componentes fotopolimerizables Telio son

prepolimerizados para asegurar su colocación y poder

aplicar capas sucesivas. Sin embargo es necesaria la polime-

rización final completa de la restauración.
