Work area safety
Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered
or dark areas invite accidents.
Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable liquids, gases or dust. Power
tools create sparks which may ignite the dust or fumes.
Keep children and bystanders away while operating a power tool. Distractions can
cause you to lose control.
Electrical safety
Power tool plugs must match the outlet. Never modify the plug in any way. Do not us e a ny adapt e r p lugs wi t h e arthed (grounded) power tools. Unmodified plugs
and matching outlets will reduce risk of electric shock.
Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces such as pipes, radiators, ranges and refrigerators. There is an increased risk
of electric shock if your body is earthed or grounded.
Do not expose power tools to rain or wet conditions. Water entering a power tool will
increase the risk of electric shock.
Do not abuse the cord. Never use the cord for carrying, pulling or unplugging the power tool. Keep cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts. Damaged or entangled
cords increase the risk of electric shock.
When operating a power tool outdoors, use an extension cord suitable for outdoor use. Use of a cord suitable for outdoor use
reduces the risk of electric shock.
If operating the power tool in a damp location is unavoidable, use a Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) protected supply. Use of
an GFCI reduce the risk of electric shock.
Personal safety
Stay alert, watch what you are doing and us e c o mmon sen se w hen operati ng a power tool. Do not use a power tool while you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medication. A moment of inattention
while operating power tools may result in serious personal injury.
Read all safety warnings and all instructions. Failure to follow the warnings and instructions may result in electric shock, fire and/or serious injury.
SAVE ALL WARNINGS AND INSTRUCTIONS FOR FUTURE REFERENCE
The term “power tool” in the warnings refers to your mains-operated (corded) power tool or battery-operated (cordless) power tool.

Safety Rules for Cordless Screwdrivers
Hold powe r tool by insulated grippi ng surfaces, when performing an operation w
here the fastener may contact hidden
wiring. Fasteners contacting a "live" wire may
make exposed metal parts of the power tool "live" and could give the operator an electric shock.
Always tur n off power to an e lec tri cal circuit before working on anything that is or could be in contact with it, and place a note on the electrical panel to warn others not to turn it on. Failure to turn OFF the
power source prior to installation/removal of cover plates or electrical products can result in electrical shock, fires, permanent injury and/or death.
Use clamps or another practical way to secure and support the workpiece to a stable platform. Holding the work by hand or
against your body leaves it unstable and may lead to loss of control.
Do not drill, fasten or break into existing walls or other blind areas where electrical wiring ma y ex ist. If this si t u a tion is
unavoidable, disconnect all fuses or circuit breakers feeding this worksite.
Battery tools are always in an operative condition. Be aware of the possible hazards.
Always wear safet y g o g g l e s o r e y e protection when using this tool.
Secure t he work piece, never hold it in your hand or acros s l egs. The dril ling
action may cause you to lose control of the workpiece and injury may occur.
W
hen installing a bit, insert the shank of the
bit well within the collet. If the bit is not inserted
deep enough, the grip of the collet over the bit is reduced and the loss of control is increased.
Do not run the tool while carrying it at yo ur sid e. A spinning bit could become
entangled with clothing and injury may result.
Do not u s e dul l or d a maged bit s and accessories. Dull or damaged bits have a
greater tendency to bind in the workpiece.
Some dust creat ed b y
power sanding, sawing, grinding, drilling, and other construction activities contains chemicals known to cause c a n cer, b i r th d e f e c t s o r other reproductive h arm. Som e e xampl es of these chemicals are:
• Lead from lead-based paints,
• Crystalline silica from bricks and cement
and other masonry products, and
• Arsenic and chromium from chemically-
treated lumber.
Yo u r risk f r o m these expos u r e s varies , depending on how often you do this type of work. To re duc e your exposure to th ese chemicals: work in a well ventilated area, and work with approved safety equipment, such as those d u s t masks t h a t are speciall y designed to filter out microscopic particles.

or cord may result in electric shock or fire.
Do not disassemble charger or operate the charger if it has received a sharp blow, been dropped or otherwise damaged in anyway. Incorrect reassembly or damage may
result in electric shock or fire.
Before each use, check the battery charger, cable and plug. If damage is detected, do not use the battery charger. Never open the battery charger yourself, take it to a Dremel Fa c tory Se r vice Ce n ter, or q u alifi e d serviceman only using original spare parts.
Incorrect reassembly may result in electric shock or fire.
Do not use attachments not recommended or sold by Dremel. Using attachments not
recommended may result in electric shock or fire.
Unplug tool from charger when battery in tool is fully charged. Tool left plugged in the
charger over a long period of time could lead to tool damage and fire.
Unplug charger from outlet before storage, attempting any maintenance or cleaning.
Such preventive safety measures reduce the risk of electric shock or fire.
Keep the battery charger clean by blowing co mpre ssed ai r o n c harg er vent s a nd wiping the charger housing with a damp cloth. Contamination may result in electric
shock or fire.
Replace battery pack if a substantial drop in operating time per charge is observed.
Battery pack may be nearing the end of its life.
Battery Care
When batteries are not in tool or charger, keep them away from metal objects. For
example, to protect terminals from shorting DO NOT place ba tteries in a tool box or pocket with nails, screws, keys, etc. Fire or injury may result.
DO NOT PUT BATTERIES INTO FIRE OR EXPOSE TO H I G H HEAT . They m ay
explode.
Battery leakage may occur under extreme u
sage or temperature conditions. Avoid
c
ontact with skin and eyes. The battery
