DPH-70s Modem Phone (SIP)
Quick Setup guide

1) Connecting the Devices
Using telephone cable (RJ-11), connect the LINE port of the DPH-70 to the
telephone wall jack. Plug the AC power adapter, lift the handset and listen for
dial tone this indicates that the DPH-70 has been installed properly.
2) Configuring the DPH-70s phone using phone keypad
The DPH-70 voice menu helps you through the configuration process.
Step 1: Pick up handset or press speaker button
Step 2: Press ‘*123*’ and followed by “#”
Step 3: Enter the password (Default password is ‘12345’) and followed by “#”
2.1 ISP Parameters or ISP Dial up Account
Step 1: Enter “1” to edit the ISP Parameters
Step 2: At ISP Phone Number, press “1”, enter the ISP Phone Number
and followed by “#” button. During entry, the phone will echo the
character pressed
Step 3: Press “1” to accept
Step 4: At ISP User Name, press “1”, enter the ISP User Name and
followed by “#” button. During entry, the phone will echo the
character pressed
Step 5: Press “1” to accept”
Step 6: At ISP Password, press “1”, enter the ISP Password and
followed by “#” button
Step 7: Press “1” to accept
Step 8: Follow the voice menu, enter “5” to save the ISP information

2.2 Calling Card Parameters
Step 1: Enter “2” to edit the Calling Card Parameters
Step 2: At Calling Card User ID, press “1”, enter 12-digit MediaRing
account number, and followed by “#” button. During entry, the
phone will echo the character pressed
Step 3: Press “1” to exit
Step 4: At Calling Card Password, press “1”, enter 6-digit PIN and
followed by “#” button. During entry, the phone will echo the
character pressed
Step 5: Press “1” to accept
Step 6: At VoIP Server Address, enter the SIP Proxy,
“mrsip001.mediaring.com”*, including dots
Step 7: Press “1” to accept
Step 8: Follow the voice menu, enter “5” to save the ISP information

3) How to make on-net call in RECEIVE state
Step 1: Pick up the handset
Step 2: Press the DIAL UP button
Step 3: Dial the “country code” + area code (if any)” + destination
Number. Phone will play the progress tone and blink the DIAL
UP LED. It will stays connected to the Internet for 15 minutes

4) How to make on-net call in special dialing
Step 1: Pick up the handset
Step 2: Dial the “country code” + “area code (if any)” + destination
Number and followed by “#” button

5) How to make off-net call
Step 1: Press speaker button
Step 2: Press the DIAL UP button
Step 2: Dial the “country code” + “area code (if any)” + destination
number and followed by “#” button

6) How to make PSTN call
Step 1: Pick up the handset
Step 2: Dial the destination number and followed by “#” button
7) Resetting to factory default
Step 1: Pick up the handset
Step 2: To reset DPH-70, press ‘*789*’ and followed by “#” button
while phone is idle
Step 3: Press “1”, enter the default password, ‘12345’ and followed by “#”

Keypad Legend
I Entering (Lower-case) Small Letters
Press twice to enter the first character of the key
Press thrice to enter the second character of the key
Press four times to enter the third character of the key
Press five times to enter the fourth character of the key
If the key is pressed, more than above-mentioned, it accepts the last letter of the
key.
II Entering (Upper-case) Capital Letters
Press a SHIFT button followed by the digit key.
Twice to enter the first capital letter of the key
Thrice to enter the second capital letter of the key
Four times to enter the third capital letter of the key
Five times to enter the fourth capital letter of the key
If the key is pressed more than above-mentioned after the SHIFT button is pressed,
it accepts. The last capital letter of the key
