2.4GHz Wireless Broadband Router
DI-724P
Wireless Cable/DSL Router
With 802.11g Wireless LAN, 4-Port Switch & Parallel Print Server
The DI-724P is a versatile router that combines wireless broadband Internet sharing with robust firewall security, print server and built-in 4-port switch for ready printer and workstation connection. Designed for home and office use, this router provides both performance and advanced network functions, including high-speed wireless LAN connection, Internet protection and policy-based content filtering.
Simplified, Cost-saving Broadband Internet Connection
The DI-724P provides users with easy and cost-saving access to the broadband Internet through a DSL or cable modem without the need for wiring. To let everybody logon, this device automatically creates and assigns an IP number for each user, simplifying every one's logon operation.
High Wireless Speeds
At up to 54Mbps, this router provides wireless LAN users a very high data transfer rate. Real wireless LAN throughput is about 8 times faster than that of 802.11b devices. In addition, adoption of the 2.4GHz frequency, now available for public use in most countries, makes this router an ideal solution for bandwidth intensive WLAN applications.
Compatible With 802.11b and 802.11b+
In addition to providing 54Mbps rate when operating with wireless users using D-Link AirPlusXtremeG+ equipment, this router is also compatible with existing 802.11b and 802.11b+ wireless devices. This means that you may sacrifice some of the router's high speed when you mix with your existing 802.11b and 802.11b+ devices, but you will not lose any ability to communicate.
Key Features
54Mbps high-speed wireless broadband Internet access * 10/100BASE-TX port for DSL/cable modem connection WAN port supports PPPoE for DSL dial-up mode to save ISP connection fee Built-in 802.11g wireless LAN with real throughput 8 times faster than 802.11b devices ** WLAN supports Dynamic Channel Selection (auto-selection of least utilized channel of operation) 4 built-in 10/100BASE-TX switch ports with auto MDI/MDIX support Built-in parallel printer port/print server supporting Windows, MacOS, Linux Multi-sessions with VPN pass-through
Integrated Fast Ethernet Switch & Print Server
An integrated 4-port switch with auto MDI/MDIX support provides plug-and-play connection to 4 computers. In addition, a parallel print server port allows you to share a parallel printer among your users.
Built-in Firewall & Access Security
To prevent unwanted Internet intruders from accessing your private network, this router provides a feature-rich firewall and access security. Filters can be set based on MAC address, IP address, URL and/or domain name. Additional advanced features include pass-through of multiple concurrent IPSec and PPTP VPN sessions for telecommuters or for anyone who needs to transmit sensitive information securely.
