Subject: Upgrading the Firmware for improving the following symptoms.
1) Malfunction upon opening the Tray.
2) Alteration of the Screen width.
Symptom: 1) Regarding the malfunction upon opening the Tray.
(a.) If the customer mistakenly unplugs the AC cord from the AC outlet while playing a disc while the Pick-up remains on the disc (except the innermost circumference). The malfunction will occur. (b.) A very strong shock is applied to the unit. (c.) Power was turned on there is a case that the Tray does not open.
2) During the PAL-DVI output, both sides of the screen are missing.
Cause:
When a strong shock is applied, the Cam Slider moves to where it touches the Tray Gear. If the Power was turned on and the Tray was opened under the above condition, the Pick-up moves to the initial position (inner circumference). As a result, the Pick-up can not enter the groove of the Cam Slider and the Tray does not open.
2) Regarding the PAL-DVI output: The malfunction occurs due to bugs in the Firmware.
1) Regarding the malfunction upon opening the Tray:
Solution: The Firmware has been corrected so that the following malfunctions
do not occur.
1) Regarding the malfunction upon opening the Tray: Changed the movement of the Pick-up when the Power of the unit was turned on so that it returns to the initial position after it moves to the outer circumference once.
2) Regarding the PAL-DVI issue: The firmware has been updated so that the screen width is widened properly.
