Read all instructionsand keep thesesafetyinstructions. Anytype of misuseoftheappliance may resultina potential injury.

Connectthe appliance to amains powersocketwith an earth connectiononly. Mainsvoltagemustbe the sameasthe detailson the rating plate. The use ofincorrect connection will negate the guaranteeand
maybe hazardous.

Thisapplianceisintendedto be used in householdonly. Itis notintendedtobeusedin following applications, and the guarantee will not
applyfor:
–staff kitchen areasin shops, offices andotherworking envir-
onments;
–farm houses;
–by clients inhotels, motels andother residential typeenvironments;
–bed and breakfasttypeenvironments;

Werecommend using the NESCAFÉ®DolceGusto® capsulesdesigned
andtestedfor the NESCAFÉ®DolceGusto®machine. They were
designedtointeracttogether- theinteraction provides thein-cupquality
thatNESCAFÉ®DolceGusto® is knownfor. Each capsule is designed
toprepare a perfectcup, and cannot bereused.

Donotremovehotcapsulesby hand. Always usecapsuleholder handle
todisposeof used capsules.

Alwaysuse the appliance on aflat, stable, heatresistant surfaceaway
fromsourcesof heat or watersplashes.
9.
Toprotectagainst fire, electricshock and injury topersons donot
immersethe powercord, plugsor the appliance in wateror otherliquid.
Avoidspillage on the plug. Never touchthe powercordwithwet hands.
Donotoverfillthe watertank.

In case ofan emergency remove theplug from the mains power socket
immediately.

Closesupervision is necessary whenthe applianceisused near children.Keepthe appliance / powercord/ capsuleholder out ofreachof
children.Children shouldbe supervisedtoensure thattheydo not play
withthe appliance.Neverleave theappliancewithout surveillance
whilemakinga beverage.

Thisapplianceisnotintended for useby children orpersonswith
reducedphysical, sensoryor mentalcapabilities, orlackof experience
andknowledge, unless they have been givensupervisionor instruction

Donotuse the appliance withoutthe driptray and drip grid, except
whena very tall mugis used. Donotusethe appliancefor hot
waterpreparation.

Forhealth reasons, alwaysfill the watertankwith fresh drinking
water.

Afteruse of theappliance always remove thecapsule andclean the
capsuleholder. Empty andclean thedrip tray and capsule bin
daily.Usersallergic to dairyproducts: Rinse theapplianceaccording to thecleaning procedure.

Theheating element surface is subjecttoresidual heat afteruse
andplastichousingsmay feel warm totouch several minutesupon
use.

Unplugfrom the mainspower socket whennotin use.

Unplugfrom the mainspower socket beforecleaning. Allow tocool
beforeputtingon ortaking offparts, beforecleaning the appliance.
Neverclean wetor immerseapplianceinany fluid.Never cleanthe
appliancewith runningwater. Neveruse detergents to cleanthe
appliance.Clean theapplianceonlyusing soft sponges/brushes.
Thewatertankshould be cleanedwith a cleanfood-safebrush.

Neverturnthe machineupside down.

Ifaway forprolonged periods, onholiday, etc. theappliancemust
beemptied, cleaned and unplugged.Rinsebefore reuse. Operate
therinsecyclebeforere-using yourappliance.

Donotturn off the applianceduringthe descaling process. Rinse
thewatertankand clean the appliance toavoidanyresidual
descalingagent.

Anyoperation, cleaningand care other than normal use mustbe
undertakenby after-salesservice centres designated by
NESCAFÉ®DolceGusto® hotline. Do notdismantle appliance and
donot putanything into openings.
23.
In case ofintensive use withoutallowingsufficient coolingtime,
theappliance will stop functioningtemporarily with the redindicatorlightblinking. This is toprotectyourappliancefrom overheating.Switchthe applianceoff for20 minutes toletit cool down.
24.
Donotoperate anyappliancewith a damagedcordorplug. If the
powercord is damaged, it mustbe replacedbythemanufacturer,
itsserviceagentorsimilarly qualified persons inordertoavoid a
hazard.Do not operateany appliance that malfunctionsorhas been
damagedin any manner. Unplug cordimmediately. Return the
damagedapplianceto the nearestauthorised servicefacilitydesignatedby NESCAFÉ®DolceGusto® hotline.

Theuse of accessory attachments notrecommended by the appliancemanufacturermay resultin fire, electric shockorinjuryto persons.

Donotlet the cord hang overtheedge ofa tableor counter,or touch
hotsurfacesorsharp edges. Donotallow thecordto dangle(risk of
trippingup). Nevertouchthe cord with wethands.

Donotplace on orneara hot gasor electric burner, orin a heated
oven.
28.
Todisconnect, turn themachineoff, then remove the plug from the
mainspower socket. Do not unplug bypullingthe cord.
29.
Alwaysinsert the capsuleholder in themachine toprepare a beverage.
Donotpull outthe capsule holderbefore theindicatorstops blinking.
Theappliancewill notwork if the capsuleholder is not inserted.
30.
Machinesequipped with a lockinghandle: Scalding mayoccur ifthe
lockinghandle is opened during the brewing cycles. Donot pull up the
lockinghandle before thelights on the machinestop flashing.

Donotput fingers under theoutlet during beveragepreparation.

Donottouch theinjector ofthe machinehead.
33.
Nevercarrythe applianceby the machinehead.

Thecapsule holder is equipped witha permanentmagnet. Avoid placingthe capsuleholder near appliancesand objectsthatcanbe damagedby magnetism, e.g. creditcards, USB drives andother data
devices,videotapes, televisionand computermonitors with picture
tubes, mechanical clocks, hearing aidsandloud speakers.

Patients withpacemakers ordefibrillators: Do not hold thecapsule
holderdirectlyover the pacemaker ordefibrillator.

Ifthe mains powersocket does not matchthe plug on theappliance,
havethe plugreplacedwitha suitable type byaftersales service
centresdesignated by NESCAFÉ®Dolce Gusto® hotline.
37.
Packaging is made ofrecyclable materials. Contactyourlocalcouncil /
authorityfor furtherinformationon recyclingprograms. Your appliance
containsvaluablematerials which can berecoveredor recycled.
