Safety Information
Please take these safety precautions i nto consideration under the following conditions :
1. Servicing the vehicle
W hen servicing your automobile ( i.e. changing the oil, washing yourcar) , the Compustarsystem should be in V alet Mode. There is a safety shutdown swi tch under the hood that deactivates the rem ote starter function i fthe hood is open.
However, if the switch has been damaged or the switch has been installed impr operly,
the vehicle may start w hen the |
button is pressed for 2 seconds, even if the hood is |
open. |

2. Loaning your vehicle to others
Whenever you loan yourvehicle to an individual who is not f amili ar with Compustar, you m ay want to put the vehicl e in V alet mode. This wil prevent the borrower from accidentally activating the Com pustarauto-secur ity system.
3. For manual transmission vehicles
If the C ompustar is installed in a manual transmission vehicle, extra pr ecautions are requir ed because the Compustar does not monitor the gear shi fter :
Undernormal circum stances, Reservation Mode is cancelled Important! when a door or hatchback opens. Pl ease verify that the opening
of any door orhatchback cancel s Reservati on Mode. I fany of the doors or hatchback are not monitored by the CompuStar because of impr oper installation or a faulty dome light switch, do not use the the CompuStar and take your vehicle immediately to the dealer for repair . Do not set Reservation Mode if the window(s) ar e open or if there is anyone inside the vehi cl e, this includes animals. Remote star t installation in a manual transm ission vehicle with a convertible top is not recom mended.

Remote LearnRoutine
The CompuStar system will allow up to three remotes to be programmed to one vehicle. Please perform the following procedure to add or reprogram additional remotes.
