STANDARD CONSTRUCTION FEATURES:

COVER — Seamless spun aluminum construction, beaded for rigidity. THROAT — All aluminum construction with overlapping, weathertight construction. FLASHING BASE — (VXCAF models) All aluminum, single piece construction is flanged into the throat for weather resistance. CURB MOUNT BASE — (VXCAC models) All aluminum, single piece construction with pre-punched mounting holes. BIRDSCREEN — Integral aluminum birdscreen 1/2x1/2. FASTENERS — Corrosion resistant fasteners are fitted with water resistant washers.

SUGGESTED SELECTION AND INSTALLATION PRECAUTIONS

(to reduce the likelihood of damage due to moisture entering the building):

1. For intake applications, limit intake (throat) velocity to approximately 500 feet/minute.

2. Installation on an extended height roof curb (12” minimum).

3. Avoid installation in locations that are subject to high winds or blowing rain, snow, dust or debris.

4. Installation of drain pans beneath the roof openings or ductwork drains.
