Superior scanning speed
To substantially increase document
scanning speeds, both models feature
on-board JPEG compression and a new
CIS (Contact Image Sensor). As a result,
you can attain speeds that reach right up
to 90 ppm - whether in black and white/
greyscale mode (A4 portrait, 200 dpi) or
even in colour (DR-9080C only, A4 portrait,
100 dpi). Add to that a maximum 180 ipm
for fast duplexing - and you benefit from
unparalleled production productivity.
Outstanding quality
When high quality document scanning is
essential, these models are ideal. They
offer a high image output resolution up to
600 x 600 dpi and the DR-9080C offers a
‘smoothing’ function to reduce the moiré
effect and enhance quality. Advanced text
enhancement improves the legibility of
fine and light text. You also benefit from
wrinkle-free documents, due to a dual light
sensor system that prevents wrinkle shades
on a document appearing on the scanned
image.

They utilise a new feeding mechanism,
combined with our strong and durable
original retard roller system. This allows the
scanners to accept a wider range of paper
thicknesses and provides even more

DR-7580 / DR-9080C
Both models scan up to a large A3 size,
and also have the ability to handle different
paper formats and thicknesses in mixed
batches. Furthermore, the DR-9080C
provides 24-bit colour support for use in a
wide range of business applications, such
as scanning coloured graphs, charts and
presentations.

Multistream™ efficiency
The inclusion of sophisticated MultiStream™
technology helps augment productivity
levels. It allows simultaneous image
outputs of two different scanning modes.
For example, with the DR-9080C, one
output can be in colour and the other in
black and white. The colour image can then
be saved for archiving, while the black and
white image can be saved for OCR (Optical
Character Recognition) use.

Double feed and simple staple detection
Every feature of these scanners has been
designed to increase reliability even further.
There’s a double feed detection mode to
prevent two pages from being fed together.
This uses ultrasonic signals to automatically
detect double feeding, resulting in an error
code being immediately displayed. There is
also simple staple detection for document
feeding. When the sensor detects a staple
in either upper corner, the scanning
process is automatically stopped.
Compact and easy to use
The DR-9080C and DR-7580 are designed
for durability. Their compact yet robust
structure guarantees easy placement as
well as absolute dependability. A reduction
in noise levels ensures quiet use in any
surroundings. The simplified operation
panel on the main body of the scanner
enables user-friendly operation at all times.
Plus the upper unit of the scanner lifts up
and remains in position, for easy and quick
clearance should a paper jam occur.

Productive accessories
A range of optional accessories are available
with both scanners. An Imprinter allows you
to print a variety of text messages on the
front of scanned documents. The Endorser
can print a number or stamp on the back
of scanned documents. A hard counter
counts the number of pages fed through
the scanner, so you can control costs. And,
when the Barcode software (optional) is
installed, the driver automatically recognises
barcodes printed on a document.
