1.1 About these instructions

This chapter contains general safety instructions which must be
observed when operating the function module FM443/CMS 910.

Also closely observe the further safety instructions that you will find
in other chapters of these operating instructions. Carefully read the
safety instructions before commencing the work described below.

If safety instructions are ignored, severe or even fatal injuries may
result, as well as material losses and environmental damage.

You can integrate the function module FM443/CMS 910 into the
control units of the CFB 810, CFB 840, CFB 910, CFB 930,
CSM 710, CSM 750.

1.3 Standards and directives

The design and operation of this product conforms to the European
Directives and the supplementary national requirements. Its
conformity is demonstrated by the CE designation.

Two levels of danger are identified and signalled by the following
terms:

RISK OF FATAL INJURY

Identifies possible risks associated with a product that might lead

Identifies potentially dangerous situations, which might lead to

1.5 Observe this information

The FM443/CMS 910 function module was designed and built
according to the state of the art and the recognised safety-related
standards.

However, material losses resulting from inappropriate operation
cannot be completely prevented.
