WARNING
TO REDUCE THE RISK OF A RANGE TOP GREASE FIRE:
a) Never leave surface units unattended at high
settings. Boilovers cause smoking and greasy
spillovers that may ignite. Heat oils slowly on low
or medium settings.
b) Always turn hood ON when cooking at high heat or
when flambéing food (i.e. Crepes Suzette, Cherries
Jubilee, Peppercorn Beef Flambé).
c) Clean ventilating fans frequently. Grease should
not be allowed to accumulate on blower or filter.
d) Use proper pan size. Always use cookware
appropriate for the size of the surface element.
Warning: In case of cooktop fire, do not operate blower.

or other metal tray, then turn off the gas burner or
the electric element. BE CAREFUL TO PREVENT
BURNS. If the flames do not go out immediately, EVA-
CUATE AND CALL THE FIRE DEPARTMENT.
b) NEVER PICK UP A FLAMING PAN, you may be burned.
c) DO NOT USE WATER, including wet dishcloths or towels
- a violent steam explosion may result.
d) Use an extinguisher ONLY if:
1) You know you have a class ABC extinguisher, and
you already know how to operate it.
2) The fire is small and contained in the area where
it started.
3) The fire department is being called.
4) You can fight the fire with your back to an exit.

1. Use this unit only in the manner intended by the
manufacturer. If you have questions, contact the
manufacturer (800-944-2904).
2. Before servicing or cleaning the unit, switch power off
at service panel and lock service panel. This will prevent
power from being switched on accidentally. When the
service panel cannot be locked, securely fasten a
prominent warning device, such as a tag, to the service
panel.

Operation - Using the Controls
Before You Begin Cooking
The blower should be turned on for about 5 minutes before
cooking in order to establish air currents upward through
the hood. Thus when heat, smoke, moisture, grease and
cooking odors are produced, they will be carried outside
instead of drifting into other rooms. Use the low speeds for
normal use and the higher speeds for strong odors or fumes.

The DAH93 model uses rocker switches to activate the
controls. The switch is on when the lower part of the
button is depressed. The switch is off when the upper part
of the button is depressed.
LIGHT: Press the lower section of the button to turn
lights on. Press the upper part of the button to turn the
lights off.

OFF: Pressing button once turns ventilator off and resets

SPEED: Press the button for the corresponding speed:

A Note about Drafts:
Drafts across the range or cooktop will reduce the
effectiveness of the hood. Such drafts should be prevented
when possible. The best job of ventilation in the kitchen is
done when the only air currents are those created by the
blower itself.

OFF: Pressing button once turns ventilator off and resets
control.
SPEED: The first time the button is pressed, it turns the fan
on. The speed is low. The second time the button is
pressed, the medium speed is activated. The third time
the button is pressed, the speed is high.
• The lights above this button indicate the current
blower speed. When the blower is on, the corresponding
light is lit.
DELAY OFF: Press to turn fan on high for an additional 10
minutes. If the ventilator is off when the button is
pressed, the ventilator will turn on to the high speed setting
for 10 minutes. At the end of the cycle the ventilator will
turn off.
If the ventilator is on when the button is pressed, the
ventilator runs for 10 minutes at the current speed then
turns off.
• During this cycle, the light above the DELAY OFF
button is illuminated.
• To cancel the mode, press SPEED or OFF.
FILTER: The hood is equipped with a clean filter reminder.
After 40 hours of operation, the clean filter reminder light
above this button will light indicating that the filters need to
be cleaned. When the indicator lights, clean the filters as
described on page 4. After cleaning, press the FILTER
button for 3 seconds to reset.
LIGHT: Press button once to turn lights on.
DIM: With the lights on, press and hold the light
button until desired light level is achieved.
OFF: Press the button twice to turn the lights off. If
the lights are dimmed, press the button once to
turn them off.
HEAT SENSOR: The heat sensor notifies you that the
conditions below the hood have exceeded allowable limits.
The light above the Speed button will blink. Turn on
the next highest speed. The light will stop blinking
when the temperature has dropped to an allowable level.
If the blower is off when the heat sensor is activated, the
low speed will be automatically activated.

Hood Surface
Painted Surfaces:
For general care, wipe the outside of the hood with sudsy
water or household cleaners such as Fantastic® or Formula
409®, rinse well and dry with a clean soft cloth to avoid water
marks.
Stainless Steel Surfaces:
Wipe and dry stainless steel in the same direction as the grain.
Avoid using too much pressure, which may mar the surface.
To remove finger prints and give added shine, use cleaners
such as Stainless Steel Magic®.
Do not allow any cleaning compounds to remain in contact with
stainless steel for extended periods.
Filters
The hood has removable aluminum filters that must be cleaned
when they collect grease.
The filters can be cleaned with soap and water or in the
dishwasher.
DAH95 models are equipped with a filter light that will illuminate after 40 hours of operation. The light indicates that the
filters need to be cleaned.When used over a wok or other
high grease application, more frequent cleaning may be required.
Remove the filters for cleaning: push the handle in and
pull down. The front will come out first. Then pull the back
down and out. See Figure 2.
To replace the filters: insert the back ends first, then while
holding the handles, push in and up until the filters are secured in place.
Lights
Use a Par 20 halogen light bulb. For DAH 93 models only, an
R20 incandescent bulb can also be used.
WARNING
Be sure the entire hood (including the filters and light
bulbs) has cooled and grease has solidified before
attmepting to clean any part of the appliance.

Do not use cooktop while hood is disassembled, to
insure adequate ventilation.

NOTE: Turn off the lights and fan and allow lights to cool
before handling. If lights do not operate upon installation, check
for proper insertion. Light bulbs can be cleaned with soap and
water.
CAUTION
TURN POWER OFF AT BREAKER BEFORE
REMOVING A DAMAGED BULB. DO NOT TOUCH
THE BULBS IMMEDIATELY AFTER USE. THE BULBS
WILL REMAIN HOT FOR SEVERAL MINUTES.
Light Bulb Replacement
Remove the damaged light bulb by turning counter-clockwise.
Replace with a new 50W flood light bulb. Models DAH95,
DAH94 and DAH93 use a Par 20 halogen light bulb. Model
DAH93 can use a R20 incandescent bulb. Follow package
directions.
Buttons
Wipe with sudsy water or household cleaners such as Fantastic
or Formula 409®, rinse well and dry with a clean soft cloth to
avoid water marks.

Do not use the following cleaning agents on any of the
hood components:
Abrasive Pads such as those made from steel wool
(SOS®, Brillo®) or plastic mesh.
Abrasive cleaners such as Comet®, Ajax® and Zud®.
Flammable products such as gasoline or kerosene.

Troubleshooting
Before calling service, check the possible explanations below. If these solutions fail, call Bosch service at 800-944-2904.
Please have your serial number and model number ready. They are located on the underside of the hood on the left side.
Problem Possible Explanations
Noise during operation.
Some noise is normal due to vibration and air movement.
Excessive noise indicates one of the following:
• Ductwork is too small/ undersized.
• Ductwork is too big/ oversized.
• Ductwork is loose.
• Transition is too small/ too loose.
• Wood screws are not tightened.
• Loose screws in trim parts, etc.
Noise when not operating.
Fan motor does not work.
Filter light does not turn off (DAH95 models only).
Filter light does not turn on (DAH95 models only).
Filter light comes on. (DAH95 models only).
Lights under hood hum.
Operation of hood trips breaker.
One light above Speed button blinks (DAH95 models only).
All three lights above Speed button blink (DAH95 models only). Heat sensor is not working. Call service.
Backflow flap on outside of duct wall cap moves with the
wind.
Power supply to hood is not sufficient.
Wires are not completely connected.
Light must be reset: hold filter button down for 3 seconds
(Always clean filters before resetting filter light).
Filter light will not come on until after 40 hours of operation.
Indicates that filters should be cleaned. Hold button down
for 3 seconds to reset.
A slight hum is normal.
Wiring is not correct.
Circuit is not correct.
Conditions exceed allowable temperatures. Turn on next
speed level.

Warranty
Bosch Warranty
The warranties provided by BSH Home Appliances Corp. in this Statement of Limited Warranty apply only to the BSH Ventilation
Hood ("hood") and Internal Blower sold to you, the first using purchaser, provided that the hood and blower were purchased (1)
for your use and not for resale and (2) in the United States or Canada and is located in the country of purchase. As used in this
Statement of Limited Warranty, the term "Date of Installation" shall refer to the earlier of the date the hood and internal blower
are installed or ten (10) business days after the date the hood and internal blower are sold to the first using purchaser, the
warranties stated herein apply only to the first using purchaser and are not transferable.
Standard Limited Warranty
BSH warrants that its hood and internal blower are free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of twelve (12)
months from the Date of Installation. During the warranty period, BSH or its authorized service center will repair or replace, at
its sole option, any hood or internal blower that proves to have been defective under conditions of normal use without charge.
All removed parts and components shall become the property of BSH, at BSH's option. All replaced and/or repaired parts shall
assume the identity of the original part for purposes of this warranty and this warranty shall not be extended with respect to such
parts.
Other Conditions of the Limited Warranties
The warranties provided in this Statement of Limited Warranty exclude defects or damage resulting from (1) use of the hood
or internal blower in other than its normal and customary manner (commercial use of the hood or internal blower shall not be
deemed normal or customary), (2) misuse, abuse, accidents or neglect, (3) improper operation, maintenance, installation or
unauthorized service, (4) adjustment or alteration or modification of any kind, (5) a failure to comply with applicable state, local,
city, and county electrical and/or building codes and (6) external forces such as floods, fires, acts of God or other circumstances
beyond BSH's control. Also excluded from this warranty are scratches and damages on external surfaces and exposed parts of
the hood and internal blower on which the serial numbers have been altered, defaced of removed.
To the extent allowed by law, this warranty sets out your exclusive remedies with respect to products covered by it, whether the
claim arises in contract or tort (including strict liability and negligence) or otherwise. BSH will not be liable for consequential or
incidental damages, losses, or expenses. THIS WARRANTY IS IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER EXPRESS WARRANTIES. ANY WARRANTY
IMPLIED BY LAW, WHETHER FOR MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE OR OTHERWISE, SHALL BE
EFFECTIVE ONLY FOR THE PERIOD THAT THIS EXPRESS WARRANTY IS EFFECTIVE. No attempt to alter, modify, or amend this
warranty shall be effective unless authorized in writing by an officer of BSH.
How to Obtain Warranty Service
To obtain warranty service for the hood or internal blower, you should contact the nearest BSH authorized service center or the
BSH Customer Support Call Center, 5551 McFadden Avenue, Huntington Beach, CA 92649, 800/944-2904. Please have your model
number and serial number when you call. They are printed on the inside left panel of the hood and the bottom of the internal
blower.
NOTICE TO CALIFORNIA OWNERS
If your hood or internal blower needs warranty service and there is no authorized BSH service center reasonably close to you,
you may notify the BSH reseller from whom you purchased the hood or internal blower. If the BSH reseller fails to repair or replace
the defective parts, or partially refund your purchase price (where applicable), you may have the hood or internal blower repaired
at any large appliance repair shop or center and you will be reimbursed for all reasonable expenses provided the costs are
substantiated in writing and the work performed is covered by this warranty. BSH shall not reimburse any repair costs hereunder
which exceed the depreciated value of the hood or internal blower.

POUR RÉDUIRE LE RISQUE D’UN FEU DE GRAISSE :
a) Ne jamais laisser l’appareil sans surveillance à des
réglages élevés. Les déversements causent de la
fumée et les débordements de graisse peuvent
s’enflammer. Chauffer l’huile lentement à réglage
moyen ou bas.
b) Toujours mettre la hotte EN CIRCUIT pour la cuisson
à réglage élevé ou pour flamber des aliments
(crêpes suzettes, cerises flambées, etc.).
c) Nettoyer le ventilateur fréquemment. La graisse ne
doit pas s’accumuler sur la soufflerie ou le filtre.
d) Utiliser des casseroles appropriées pour la dimension
de l’élément.
Avertissement : En cas d’incendie, ne pas faire
fonctionner la soufflerie.

Avant de commencer
Mettre la hotte en circuit environ 5 minutes avant la cuisson
afin d’établir un courant d’air ascendant par la hotte. Ainsi,
lorsqu’il y a de la fumée, humidité, graisse et odeurs de
cuisson, elles seront tirées vers l’extérieur et non dans les
autres pièces. Utiliser les vitesses basses pour l’usage normal
et les plus élevées pour les odeurs ou vapeurs fortes.

Le modèle DAH93 utilise des interrupteurs à bascule pour
actionner les contrôles. L’interrupteur est en circuit lorsque
sa partie inférieure est pressée et hors circuit lorsque la
partie supérieure est pressée.
ÉCLAIRAGE : Presser la partie inférieure pour mettre en
circuit et la partie supérieure pour mettre hors circuit.
VITESSE : Presser les touches ascendante ou descendante
pour la vitesse correspondante.

Concernant les courants d’air :
Les courants d’air au-dessus de la cuisinière ou de la plaque
de cuisson réduisent l’efficacité de la hotte. Il faut les prévenir.
La meilleure ventilation dans la cuisine s’effectue seulement
lorsque les courants d’air sont ceux produits par la soufflerie.

ARRÊT : Presser pour mettre le ventilateur en ou hors
circuit.
VITESSE : À la première pression de cette touche, le
ventilateur est mis en circuit à vitesse basse; 2e pression,
vitesse moyenne et 3e pression, vitesse élevée.
• Le voyant au-dessus de cette touche indique la vitesse
en cours. Lorsque la soufflerie est en circuit, le vouyant
correspondant s’allume.
ARRÊT DIFFÉRÉ : Presser pour mettre en circuit en
position élevée pour 10 minutes. Si le ventilateur est hors
circuit lorsque la touche est pressée, il passe à la vitesse
élevée pendant 10 minutes. À la fin du cycle, le ventilateur
se met hors circuit.
Si le ventilateur est en circuit lorsque la touche est
pressée, il fonctionne pendant 10 minutes à la vitesse en
cours, puis se met hors circuit.
• Pendant le cycle, le voyant au-dessus de la touche
ARRÊT DIFFÉRÉ s’allume.
• Pour annuler le mode, presser VITESSE ou ARRÊT.
FILTRE : La hotte est dotée d’un rappel de filtre. Après 40
heures de fonctionnement, le voyant de rappel au-dessus
de la touche s’allume pour indiquer de nettoyer le fitre, voir
page 4. Après avoir nettoyé le filtre, presser FILTRE
pendant 3 secondes pour remettre à zéro.
ÉCLAIRAGE : Presser la touche pour mettre en circuit.
TAMISÉ: L’éclairage en circuit, presser et maintenir la
touche éclairage jusqu’à l’intensité dérisée.
ARRÊT : Presser la touche deux fois pour mettre hors
circuit. Si l’éclairage est tamisé, presser une fois
pour mettre hors circuit.

ÉCLAIRAGE : Presser une fois mettre en ou hors circuit.
ARRÊT : Presser la touche une fois pour mettre le
ventilateur hors circuit et remettre le contrôle.
VITESSE : Preser la touche pour la vitesse correspondante.

CAPTEUR DE CHALEUR : Ce capteur indique que les
conditions au-dessous de la hotte ont excédé les limites
permises. Le voyant au-dessus de la touche vitesse
clignote. Passer à la vitesse la plus élevée suivante.
Le voyant cesse de clignoter lorsque la température atteint
le niveau permis. Si la soufflerie est hors circuit lorsque le
capteur de chaleur est activé, la vitesse basse est
automatiquement actionnée.

Nettoyage et entretien
Surface de la hotte
Surfaces peintes :
Pour l’entretien général, essuyer l’extérieur de la hotte avec
de l’eau savonneuse ou un nettoyant comme Fantastic® ou
Formula 409®, bien rincer et assécher avec un chiffon doux
et sec pour éviter les marques d’eau.
Surfaces en acier inoxydable :
Essuyer et assécher l’acier inoxydable dans le même sens que
le grain. Ne pas trop appuyer, cela peut marquer la surface.
Pour enlever les empreintes de doigts et faire briller, utiliser
un nettoyant comme Stainless Steel Magic®.
Ne pas laisser les résidus de nettoyant rester en contact avec
l’acier inoxydable pendant de longues périodes.
Filtres
La hotte est doté de filtres en aluminium amovibles qui doivent
être nettoyés lorsque la graisse s’est accumulée.
Nettoyer les filtres avec du savon et de l’eau ou au lave-
vaisselle.
Le modèle DAH95 est doté d’un voyant à filtres qui s’allume
après 40 heures de fonctionnement indiquant que les filtres
doivent être nettoyés. Si utilisés avec un wok ou dans des
cas de graisse importants, nettoyer plus souvent.
Retirer les filtres pour le nettoyage : pousser la poignée
et tirer vers le bas. Le devant se libère d’abord. Tirer
ensuite l’arrière, voir figure 2.
Pour replacer les filtres : insérer l’arrière d’abord, puis tout
en maintenant les poignées, pousser vers le haut jusqu’à ce
que les filtres s’enclenchent en place.
AVERTISSEMENT
S’assurer que toute la hotte (incluant les filtres et les
ampoules) a refroidi et que la graisse a figé avant de
nettoyer.

Ne pas utiliser la surface de cuisson si la hotte est
désassemblée. Il doit y avoir une ventilation
adéquate.

Éclairage
Utiliser une ampoule halogène Par 20. Pour modèles DAH93
seulement, l’on peut aussi utiliser une ampoule incandescente
R20.
REMARQUE : Mettre l’éclairage et le ventilateur hors circuit
et laisser l’ampoule refroidir avant de manipuler. Si l’éclairage
ne fonctionne pas dès l’installation, vérifier son insertion
appropriée. Les ampoules peuvent être nettoyées à l’eau et
au savon.
ATTENTION
METTRE L’ALIMENTATION HORS CIRCUIT AU CIRCUIT

Remplacement d’ampoules
Retirer l’ampoule endommagée en la tournant dans le sens
contre horaire. Remplacer avec une ampoule projecteur 50W.
Modèles DAH95, DAH94 et DAH93 utilisent une ampoule
halogène 20. Modèle DAH93 peut utiliser une ampoule
incandescente R20. Suivre les directives sur l’embalalge.
Touches
Essuyer avec une eau savonneuse ou un nettoyant comme
Fantastic® or Formula 409®, bien rincer et assécher avec un
chiffon doux propre pour éviter les marques d’eau.
NE PAS utiliser ce qui suit !
NE pas utiliser les nettoyants suivants sur les pièces de la
hotte :
Tampons abrasifs comme ceux faits de laine d’acier
(SOS®, Brillo®) ou en filet de plastique.
Nettoyants abrasifs comme Comet®, Ajax® et Zud®.

Guide de dépannage
Avant d’effectuer un appel de service, vérifier les points ci-dessous. Si les solutions ne conviennet pas, téléphoner au service
Bosch au 800.944.2904. Avoir les numéros de modèle et de série qui sont situés sur le côté inférieur gauche de la hotte.

• Vis lâches dans les pièces de garniture, etc.

Garantie de Bosch
Les garanties offertes par BSH Home Appliances Corp. dans cet énoncé de garantie limitée s’appliquent seulement à la hotte BSH
(« hotte ») et soufflerie interne vendue au client, premier acheteur, en autant que la hotte ait été achetée (1) pour l’usage du
client et non la revente et (2) aux États-Unis ou au Canada et est située dans le pays où elle a été achetée. Comme utilisé dans
l’énoncé de la garantie limitée, le terme « date d’installation » réfèrera à la date d’installation de la hotte et de la soufflerie interne
ou dix (10) jours ouvrables, la plus tôt des deux, après la vente de la hotte et de la soufflerie interne au premier acheteur, les
garanties énoncées ici s’appliquent seulement au premier acheteur et ne sont pas transférables.
Garantie limitée standard
BHS garantit que cette hotte et la soufflerie interne ne présente pas de défaut de matériaux et de main-d’œuvre pendant une
période de douze (12) mois à partir de la date d’installation. Pendant la période de garantie, BHS ou son centre de service autorisé
réparera ou remplacera, à son entière discrétion, toute hotte ou soufflerie interne présentant un défaut dans des conditions
d’utilisation normale sans frais. Toute pièce et composant enlevé demeure la propriété de BHS, à sa discrétion. Toute pièce de
rechange et/ou réparée doit être semblable à la pièce d’origine relativement à cette garantie et cette garantie ne doit pas être
prolongée relativement à ces pièces.
Autres conditions de garanties limitées
Les garanties indiquées dans l’énoncé de garantie limitée excluent les défauts ou dommages résultants de (1) l’utilisation de la
hotte ou soufflerie interne autre qu’une utilisation normale et habituelle (l’utilisation commerciale de la hotte ou de la soufflerie
interne ne sera pas reconnue comme normale ou habituelle), (2) mauvaise utilisation, abus, accidents ou négligences, (3)
fonctionnement, entretien, installation inadéquats ou service non autorisé, (4) ajustement ou réglage ou modification de toute
sorte, (5) non-conformité aux codes provinciaux, locaux, municipaux d’électricité et/ou construction et (6) forces extérieures
comme inondation, incendie, actes de Dieu ou autres circonstances hors du contrôle de BHS. Également exclus de cette garantie,
les égratignures et dommages aux surfaces externes et pièces exposées de la hotte et de la soufflerie interne sur laquelle le
numéro de série a été modifié, effacé ou enlevé.
Selon ce qui est permis par la loi, cette garantie établit des solutions exclusives en ce qui a trait aux produits couverts, que la
réclamation survient par contrat ou tort (incluant stricte responsabilité et négligence) ou autres. BHS ne sera pas tenu responsable
des dommages intérêts ou accessoires, pertes ou dépenses. CETTE GARANTIE EST EN LIEU DE TOUTES AUTRES GRANTIES
EXPRESSES. TOUTE GRANTIE IMPLICITE PAR LOI, POUR COMMERCIAISATION OU À DES FINS PARTICULIÈRES OU AUTRES,
SERA EN VIGEUR SEULEMENT POUR LA PÉRIODE POUR LAQUELLE LA GARANTIE EXPLICITE EST EN VIGEUR. Aucune tentative
de modifier, changer ou amender cette garantie ne sera efficace à moins d’une autorisation écrite par un officier de BHS.
Comment obtenir un service sous garantie

REMARQUE AUX PROPRIÉTAIRES DE CALIFORNIE
Si la hotte ou la soufflerie interne nécessite un service sous garantie et qu’il n’y a pas de centre de service BSH autorisé à
proximité, aviser le marchand BSH où l’appareil a été acheté. Si ce dernier ne peut réparer ou remplacer les pièces défectueuses,
ou artiellement rembourser le prix d’achat (si applicable), il est possible de faire réparer la hotte ou la soufflerie interne dans
tout atelier de réparation d’électroménagers et le propriétaire sera remboursé pour les frais raisonnables en autant que les
coûts sont donnés par écrit et que le travail effectué est couvert par la garantie. BSH ne remboursera pas les frais de
réparations qui excèdent la valeur de dépréciation de la hotte ou de la soufflerie interne.

PARA REDUCIR EL RIESGO DE INCENDIO DE GRASA:
a) Nunca deje la estufa sin atención cuando la use
con alto calor. Los derrames pueden causar humo y
la grasa se puede encender. Caliente aceites
lentamente con bajo a mediano calor.
b) Siempre prenda la campana con alto calor o al
flamear alimentos (i.e. Crepas Suzette, Cerezas
Jubilee, Filete de Res Flameado).
c) Limpie los ventiladores a menudo. No se debe
permitir la acumulación de grasa en el filtro o
ventilador.
d) Use ollas de tamaño apropiado para el elemento
superficial de la estufa.
Advertencia: En caso de un incendio de la estufa, no
use el ventilador.
Cuidado:
La grasa acumulada en los filtros puede volver
a derretirse y entrar en el conducto de ventilación.

d) Use un extinguidor de fuego SOLO cuando:
1) Usted sepa que tiene un extinguidor de fuego de
Clase ABC, y sabe cómo manejarlo.
2) El incendio es pequeño y está contenido en el
área donde comenzó.
3) Se está llamando a los bomberos.
4) Usted puede combatir el incendio con su espalda

Operación - Usando los Controles
Antes de comenzar a cocinar
Se debe prender el ventilador por 5 minutos antes de cocinar
para establecer corrientes de aire hacia arriba a través de la
campana. De este modo, al producirse calor, humo, humedad,
grasa y olores, serán cargados hacia afuera en lugar de llegar
a las habitaciones. Use velocidades bajas para el uso normal
y las velocidades altas para fuertes olores o humos.

El modelo DAH93 usa interruptores oscilantes para activar
los controles. El interruptor está prendido cuando se
oprime la parte inferior del botón. El interruptor está
apagado cuando se oprime la parte superior del botón.

Una nota acerca de las corrientes:
Las corrientes de aire encima de la estufa reducirán la
efectividad de la campana. Tales corrientes deben evitarse si
es posible. Se logra la mejor ventilación en la cocina cuando
las únicas corrientes de aire son aquellas creadas por el
ventilador mismo.

APAGADO: Oprimir el botón una vez apaga el ventilador
y reinicializa el control.
VELOCIDAD: La primera vez que oprima el botón, esto
prende el ventilador. La velocidad es baja. La segunda vez
que se oprima el botón, se activa la velocidad mediana. La
tercera vez que se oprima el botón, la velocidad es alta.
• Las luces arriba de este botón indican la velocidad
actual del ventilador. Cuando el ventilador está
prendido, se ilumina la luz correspondiente.
RETRASAR APAGADO: Oprima para prender el
ventilador a alta velocidad por 10 minutos adicionales.
Cuando el ventilador está apagado al oprimir el botón,
éste se prenderá con alta velocidad por 10 minutos. Al final
del ciclo se apagará el ventilador.
Cuando el ventilador está prendido al oprimir el botón,
éste funciona por 10 minutos a la velocidad actual antes de
apagarse.
• Durante este ciclo, se ilumina la luz arriba del botón
RETRASAR APAGADO.
• Para cancelar el modo, oprima VELOCIDAD u OFF.
FILTRO: La campana viene equipada con un recordatorio
para limpiar el filtro. Después de 40 horas de operación, se
ilumina arriba de este botón la luz indicadora para limpiar el
filtro. Cuando se prende la luz indicadora, limpie los filtros
como se indica en la página 4. Después de la limpieza,
oprima el botón FILTRO por 3 segundos para
ponerlo en cero.
LUZ: Oprima el botón una vez para prender las luces.
DIM: Con las luces prendidas, oprima y mantenga el
botón de luz hasta lograr el nivel luminoso
deseado.
OFF: Oprima el botón dos veces para apagar las luces.
Cuando las luces son atenuadas, oprima el botón
una vez para apagarlas.
SENSOR DE CALOR: El sensor de calor le notifica que las
condiciones abajo de la campana han rebasado los límites
permisibles. La luz arriba del botón Velocidad
parpadeará. Ponga la siguiente velocidad más alta. La
luz dejará de parpadear cuando la temperatura baja a un nivel
aceptable. Cuando el ventilador está apagado al activar el
sensor térmico, se prende la velocidad baja automáticamente.

Cuidado, Limpieza y Mantenimiento
Superficie de la campana
Superficies pintadas:
Para el cuidado general, limpie el exterior de la campana con
agua jabonosa o limpiadores caseros como Fantastic® o
Formula 409®, enjuague bien y seque con un trapo suave
limpio para evitar las marcas de agua.
Superficies de acero inoxidable:
Limpie y seque el acero inoxidable en la misma dirección del
grano. Evite usar demasiada presión, que puede dañar la
superficie.
Para quitar las huellas digitales y dar mayor brillo, use
limpiadores como Stainless Steel Magic®.
No permita el contacto prolongado de los detergentes con el
acero inoxidable.
ADVERTENCIA
Asegúrese que se haya enfriado toda la campana
(incluyendo los filtros y focos) y que se haya solidifcado
la grasa antes de tratar de limpiar alguna parte del
aparato.

No use la estufa mientras la campana esté
desarmada, para asegurar una ventilación
adecuada.
Filtros
La campana tiene filtros removibles de aluminio que se deben
limpiar cuando recojen la grasa.
Se pueden limpiar los filtros con jabón y agua o en la
lavavajillas.
Los modelos DAH95 vienen equipados con una luz de filtro
que se prende después de 40 horas de operación. La luz
indica la necesidad de limpiar el filtro. Cuando se usa encima
de un wok u otra aplicación con mucha grasa, se tiene que
limpiar con mayor frecuencia.
Quitar los filtros para la limpieza: empuje sobre la manija
y jale hacia abajo El frente saldrá primero. Luego jale la
parte trasera hacia abajo y sáquelo. Vea la Figura 2.
Para reemplazar los filtros: inserte la parte trasera primero,
luego sosteniendo las manijas, empuje hacia dentro y arriba
hasta enganchar bien los filtros.
Luces
Use un foco de halógeno Par 20. Sólo para los modelos DAH93,
se puede usar también un foco incandescente R20.
NOTA: Apague las luces y el ventilador y permita que se
enfríen antes de manejarlas. Cuando las luces no funcionan
después de la instalación, revise la operación correcta. Se
pueden limpiar los focos con jabón y agua.

CUIDADO

Reemplazar el foco
Quite un foco dañado girándolo en sentido contrario del
reloj. Reemplácelo con un foco nuevo para reflector de 50W.
Los modelos DAH95, DAH94 y DAH93 usan un foco de
halógeno Par 20. El modelo DAH93 puede usar un foco
incandescente R20. Siga las instrucciones en el empaque.
Botones
Limpie con agua jabonosa o limpiadores caseros como
Fantastic® o Formula 409®, enjuague bien y seque con un
trapo suave limpio para evitar las marcas de agua.

Solución de Problemas
Antes de solicitar servicio, revise las posibles explicaciones abajo. Si esto no funciona, llame al servicio Bosch al 800-944-
2904. Tenga el número de serie y el modelo a la mano. Están abajo de la campana en el lado izquierdo.

• El ducto queda muy pequeño.
• El ducto queda demasiado grande.
• El ducto está flojo.
• La transición queda muy pequeña / muy floja.
• No se apretaron los tornillos para madera.
• Tornillos flojos en partes de revestimiento, etc.
La trampilla de retorno en el exterior de la tapa del ducto
se mueve con el viento.
Fuente de alimentación insuficiente a la campana.
Los cables no están bien conectados.
Se debe reiniciar la luz: mantenga oprimido el botón del
filtro por 3 segundos (Siempre limpie los filtros antes de
poner a cero la luz del filtro)
No se prenderá la luz del filtro hasta después de 40 horas
de operación.
Indica que se deben limpiar los filtros. Mantenga el botón
oprimido por 3 segundos para poner a cero.
Un zumbido ligero es normal.
EL cableado es incorrecto.
EL circuito está mal.
Las condiciones rebasan las temperaturas permisibles.
Escoja el siguiente nivel de velocidad.

Garantía
Garantía de Bosch
Las garantías ofrecidas por BSH Home Appliances Corp. en esta Declaratoria de Garantía Limitada aplican sólo a las Campanas
de Ventilación (“camapana”) y el Ventilador Interno de BSH que usted compró, el primer usuario comprador, siempre y cuando
la campana y el ventilador interno fueron adquiridos (1) para su uso y no para la reventa y (2) en los Estados Unidos o Canadá
y que se encuentra en el país de la compra. El término “Fecha de Instalación” que se usa en esta Declaratoria de Garantía Limitada,
se refiere a la fecha más temprana cuando se instala la campana y el ventilador interno o diez (10) días laborales después de
la fecha de compra de la campana y del ventilador interno por el primer usuario comprador. Las garantías declaradas aquí aplican
sólo al primer usuario comprador y no se pueden transferir.
Garantía Limitada Estándar
BSH garantiza que su campana y ventilador interno están libres de defectos en materiales y mano de obra por un período de
doce (12) meses a partir de la Fecha de Instalación. Durante el período de garantía, BSH o su centro de servicio autorizado va
a reparar o reemplazar, a su discreción, cualquier campana o ventilador interno que resulte defectuoso bajo condiciones de uso
normal sin costo alguno. Todas las partes y componentes removidos se volverán propiedad de BSH, a discreción de BSH. Todas
las partes reemplazadas y/o reparadas asumirán la identidad de la parte original para los propósitos de esta garantía y esta
garantía no se puede extender con respecto a tales partes.
Otras Condiciones de las Garantías Limitadas
Las garantías otorgadas en esta Declaratoria de Garantía Limitada excluyen defectos o daños que resultan de (1) el uso de la
campana o del ventilador interno en un modo diferente de su uso normal y usual (el uso comercial de la campana o del
ventilador interno no se considera normal o usual), (2) mal uso, abuso, accidentes o negligencia, (3) operación, mantenimiento,
instalación no apropiada o servicio no autorizado, (4) ajustes o alteraciones o modificaciones de cualquier tipo, (5) el hecho de
no cumplir con los códigos eléctricos y/o de construcción que pueden aplicar y (6) fuerzas externas como inundaciones, fuegos,
casos fortuitos u otras circunstancias más allá del control de Bosch. También se excluyen raspaduras y daños en superficies
externas y partes expuestas de la campana y del ventilador interno donde se alteró o se quitó el número de serie.
Al grado permitido por la ley, esta garantía establece sus remedios exclusivos con respecto a los productos cubiertos por ésta,
sin importar si la reclamación surge en contrato o agravio (incluyendo la responsabilidad estricta, y negligencia), etc. BSH no
se hace responsable de daños, pérdidas o consecuencias consecuenciales o incidentales. ESTA GARANTÍA SUSTITUYE TODAS
LAS OTRAS GARANTÍAS EXPRESAS. CUALQUIER GARANTÍA IMPLÍCITA POR LA LEY, YA SEA DE COMERCIABILIDAD O APTITUD
PARA ALGÚN PROPÓSITO, ETC., TENDRÁ VIGENCIA SÓLO POR EL PERÍODO DE VIGENCIA DE ESTA GARANTÍA EXPRESA. Ningún
intento de alterar, modificar o enmendar esta garantía será efectivo a menos que haya sido autorizado por escrito por un ejecutivo
de BSH.

tenga el número de serie y el modelo a la mano cuando usted llama. Ellos son impresos por dentro del panel izquierdo de la
campana y la parte inferior del ventilador interno.
AVISO PARA PROPIETARIOS EN CALIFORNIA
Si su campana o ventilador interno requiere de servicio de garantía y no existe un centro de servicio autorizado de BSH cerca
de usted, puede notificar al revendedor de BSH con el cual usted compró la campana o el ventilador interno. Si el revendedor

usted puede llevar la campana o el ventilador interno a cualquier taller grande o centro de reparación de aparatos
electrodomésticos para su reparación y todos los gastos razonables serán reembolsados, siempre y cuando los costos están
justificados por escrito y el trabajo realizado está cubierto por esta garantía. BSH no reembolsará ningún gasto de reparación
bajo la presente que exceda el valor depreciado de la campana o del ventilador interno.
