Solution for greater mobility

SMBs need simple, affordable, smart network infrastructure and communications
solutions. With this in mind, Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise addresses this market with
a comprehensive solution for both wired (LAN) and wireless (Wi-Fi) networking
as well as IP telephony. The ALE network mobility solution for SMBs include the
Alcatel-Lucent OmniSwitch® WebSmart and xed Gigabit Ethernet switches -­OmniSwitch 2220 and OmniSwitch 6350 and Alcatel-Lucent OmniAccess® Stellar
Access Points, based on the latest 802.11ac Wave 2 enabling high speed wired and
wireless (Wi-Fi®) LAN access. The communications solution includes Alcatel-Lucent
OXO Connect, providing IP telephony, for a complete voice/data/Wi-Fi solution.
OXO Connect and an OmniSwitch/OmniAccess Network Mobility solution is optimized
for SMB customers who need an IP telephony solution with Wi-Fi access, or who
would like to upgrade their existing OXO Connect solution and add Wi-Fi, as shown
in the following gure:

The advantage of ordering an SMB Network Mobility solution from Alcatel-Lucent
Enterprise is its ease of installation and conguration. Zero-touch conguration is
provided for the OmniSwitch 6350 and OmniAccess Stellar AP1101 when used with
OXO Connect, as the switch gets its conguration information from OXO Connect.
When the Network Mobility solution is used by itself, the minimum conguration
is required to get the OmniSwitch 6350 or the OmniSwitch 2220 and OmniAccess
Stellar Access Points up and running. To simplify ordering a Network Mobility
solution, a set of solution examples for 10, 20, 50, and 100 users (country specic)
have been identied, as a reference. In addition, a conguration guide describes
the installation and set-up of the OmniSwitch 2220-P8/6350-P10, OmniSwitch
2220-P24/6350-P24 and OmniSwitch 2220-P48/6350–P48 Ethernet PoE/PoE+
switches, with OmniAccess Stellar Access Points.

The Alcatel-Lucent OmniSwitch® 2220 Gigabit Ethernet WebSmart family of
switches provides a simple, secure, and smart business network at affordable prices.
The OmniSwitch 2220 allows you to achieve a reliable business class network
performance including security without paying for advanced network management
features. These switches are a lower-priced alternative to managed switches for
wired connectivity while maintaining performance, quality of service (QoS) and
scalability using a simplied web management interface. They include:

Outstanding performance with simplied deployment

Alcatel-Lucent OmniAccess Stellar AP1101 is an entry level, high performance
gigabit access point, ideal for small and medium density Wi-Fi environments, while
minimizing interference from cellular networks.

The OmniAccess Stellar AP1101 is a controller-less access point with 802.11ac
technology, dual radio 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz that delivers wireless data rates of up to
867 Mb/s to 5 GHz devices, while simultaneously supporting 2.4 GHz 802.11n clients
with data rates of up to 300 Mb/s. Each AP leverages two spatial (multiple input and
multiple output) MIMO streams to achieve these data rates.

The high-performance, 802.11ac Wave2, OmniAccess AP1220 series supports a
maximum concurrent data rate of 2.1 Gb/s (1733 Mb/s in 5 GHz and 400 Mb/s in

2.4 GHz), 160 MHz channels (VHT160), multi-user MIMO (MU-MIMO) and four spatial
streams (4SS). They provide simultaneous multicast data transmission to multiple
devices, maximizing data throughput and improving network efciency.

The multifunctional OmniAccess Stellar AP1251 is a high-performance 802.11ac
Wave 2 access point used in outdoor settings for enterprise deployments of all sizes.
It provides high throughput and seamless user experience.

Ideal for medium-density outdoor environments, this high-performance, rugged
access point supports the IP67 standard for harsh outdoor environments, such as
exposure to high and low temperatures, persistent moisture and precipitation, and
industrial strength surge protection.

The OmniAccess Stellar family also supports Zero Touch Provisioning with Alcatel­Lucent OXO Connect, a mechanism by which the rst AP connected to the network
will obtain its conguration from the OXO Connect. Then the rest of the AP in the
network will come up automatically with updated conguration. This ensures the
entire network to be up and running within few minutes.
