No washer can completely remove oil. Do not dry anything that has ever had any type of oil on
it (including cooking oils). Items containing foam, rubber, or plastic must be dried
on a clothesline or by using an Air Cycle. Failure to follow these instructions can result in death
or re.

USING AUTOMATIC CYCLES
Automatic Cycles automatically match the cycle setting to the type of load and adjust drying time for optimal performance.
See the Cycles information on the following pages for more detail on each cycle.

3. Press POWER.
4. Select the desired AUTOMATIC cycles.
5. Adjust the DRYNESS level, if desired.
6. Select the WRINKLE SHIELD™ (90) and/or SIGNAL feature,
if desired.
7. Press and Hold START/PAUSE to begin. To add or remove options during an Automatic Cycle:

USING STEAM CYCLES
Steam Cycles use water and heat to reduce wrinkles and odors in dry items.
See the Cycles information on the following pages for more detail on each cycle.

2. Select a Steam cycle.
3. Press and hold START/PAUSE to begin.
USING TIMED CYCLES
Use Timed Cycles to set a drying time and temperature. See the Cycles information on the following pages for more information.

5. Press MORE TIME or LESS TIME until the desired drying

if desired.
8. Press and Hold START/PAUSE to begin. To add or remove options during a Timed Cycle:

NOTE: Not all cycles are available on all models. Select the drying cycle that matches the type of load you
are drying. See the Automatic Cycl Settings chart.

Timed Cycles
Use Timed Cycles to select a specific amount of drying time and a drying temperature. When a Timed Cycle is selected, the Estimated Time Remaining display shows the actual time remaining in your cycle.
Press the TEMP button to chang the default setting.
Press the MORE TIME or LESS TIME button to increase or
ease the drying time. Tap MORE TIME or LESS TIME
decr and the time will change by 1-minute intervals. Press and hold MORE TIME or LESS TIME and the time will change by 5-minute intervals.

Automatic Cycles
Automatic Cycles allow you to match the cycle to the load you are drying. See the following Automatic Cycle Settings chart. Each cycle dries certain fabrics at the recommended temperature. A sensor detects the moisture in the load and automatically

Steam Cycle
In these cycles, a small amount of water is sprayed into the dryer drum after several minutes of tumbling with heat. The STEAM Status Light will come on while the water is sprayed into the drum. The dryer will continue to tumble at Medium heat for the duration of the cycle. The Steam Cycles include Enhanced Touch Up and Quick Refresh. The heat setting and cycle time are not adjustable for the Quick Refresh Cycle, but can be adjusted for the Enhanced Touc h Up C y cl e .

Cycles, the Wet light comes on after the water has been sprayed into the drum, 4-5 minutes into the cycle. The Wet light illuminates until the dryer goes into Cool Down with 1 minute of time remaining.
Damp Dry Signal
On some models, the Damp Dry Signal may be selected to alert you that your clothes are appr useful when you want to remove lightweight items in a mixed load to avoid overdrying or remove partially dry items that may need ironing.
The DAMP DRY SIGNA
L is useful when drying bedsheets/linens in a mixed load. When the signal goes of the dryer, rearrange the load inside the dryer, close the door and restart the dryer to finish the drying cycle. Rearranging the load will aid in the drying process.

Check that coverings are securely stitched.
Shake and fluff pillows by hand periodically during the cycle.
Dry item completely. Foam rubber pillows are slow to dry.

Sensing/Estimated Time Remaining
In an Automatic Cycle, the Sensing light illuminates until a wet
item is detected.
In the Timed Cycle, the Sensing light illuminates at the beginning
of a cycle and turns off 5 minutes into the cycle.
NOTE: Moisture sensing strips in the dryer measure the amount of moisture in the clothes. The estimated time display may adjust to show a more accurate drying time.
Wet
The Wet light illuminates at the beginning of an Automatic Cycle if a wet item is detected.
In an Automatic Cycle, if a wet item is not detected after
approximately 5 minutes, the dryer goes dir and the Cool Down and the WRINKLE SHIELD™ setting indicators illuminate, if selected.
In a Timed Cycle, wet items are not detected. The dryer will
continue to run for the length of time selected, and the Wet light will illuminate. The damp light will not illuminate.

The Cool Down light illuminates during the cool down part of the cycle. Laundry cools for ease in handling.

The Done light illuminates when the drying cycle is finished. This indicator stays on during the WRINKLE SHIELD™ (90) setting.
WRINKLE SHIELD™ (90) Feature
When you are unable to remove a load of clothes from the dryer as soon as it stops, wrinkles can form. The WRINKLE SHIELD™ (90) feature periodically tumbles, rearranges, and fluffs the load to help keep wrinkles from forming.
Get up to 90 minutes of heat-free, periodic tumbling at the
end of a cycle. Press the WRINKLE SHIELD™ (90) button to turn ON or OFF at any time before the cycle has ended.
The WRINKLE SHIELD™ (90) feature is preset to “OFF.” If
selected for other cycles, the WRINKLE SHIELD™ (90) feature setting will remain “ON” the next time that cycle is selected.

The Signal produces an audible sound when the drying cycle is finished. Press the SIGNAL button to turn On or Off at any time before the cycle has ended.

Indicator Lights
Other indicator lights show Cycle, Modifiers, Options, and Signal settings selected. The display shows the estimated or actual time remaining.
Control Lock
This feature allows you to lock your settings to avoid unintended use of the dryer. You can also use the Control Lock feature to avoid unintended cycle or option changes during dryer operation.
To e na ble the Control Lock feature when dryer is running:
Press and hold the SIGNAL button for 3 seconds. The control is locked when a single beep is heard and the Control Lock status light is on.
To e na ble the Control Lock feature when dryer is OFF:
When the dryer is off, it is not necessary to press the POWER button before activating the Control Lock feature.

Cleaning the Dryer Location
Keep dryer area clear and free from items that would obstruct the flow of combustion and ventilation air.
Changing cycles after pressing START/PAUSE
1. Press POWER. This ends the current cycle.
2. Select the desired cycle and options.
3. Press and hold START/PAUSE. The dryer starts at the
beginning of the new cycle.
NOTE: If the cycle, the dryer automatically shuts off.

On Timed Cycles, at any time, you may:

Cleaning the Lint Screen
Every load cleaning:
The lint screen is located in the door opening of the dryer. A screen blocked by lint can increase drying time.

2. Push the lint screen firmly back into place. IMPORTANT:
Do not run the dryer if the lint screen is loose, damaged,
blocked, or missing. Doing so can cause overheating and damage to both the dryer and fabrics.
If lint falls off the screen into the dryer during removal,
check the exhaust hood and remove the lint. See “Venting Requirements.”

Removing Accumulated Lint
Special Instructions for Steam Models
From Inside the Dryer Cabinet
Lint should be removed every 2 years, or more often, depending on dryer usage. Cleaning should be done by a qualified person.

Vacation, Storage, and Moving Care
Install and store your dryer where it will not freeze. Because some water may stay in the hoses, freezing can damage your dryer. If storing or moving your dryer during freezing weather, winterize it.
Non-Use or Storage Care
Operate your dryer only when you are at home. If you will be on vacation or not using your dryer for an extended period of time, you should:

Replace inlet hoses and hose screen after 5 years of use to reduce the risk of hose failure. Periodically inspect and replace inlet hoses if bulges, kinks, cuts, wear, or leaks are found.

1. Unplug dryer or disconnect power.
2. Shut off water faucet.
3. Disconnect water inlet hose from faucet and drain.

The dryer light automatically turns on inside the dryer drum when you open the door.
To change the drum light:
1. Unplug dryer or disconnect power.
2. Open the dryer door. Locate the light bulb cover on the back
wall of the dryer. Remove the screw located in the lower right corner of the cover. Remove the cover.
