FAA Transmission Set-Up Instructions
Push the MEMORY button
Select 2 Settings
The following window will appear:
1 Select data for resting ECG
2 Select data for exercise ECG
3 Configuration of transmission
4 Phone No. Modem
5 Init. Modem
6 Further settings
Select 1: select data for resting ECG
Make sure the unit is configured the following way:
Select records for transmission:
Interpretation <1>: yes
Intervals and axis <2>: No
Measurements <3>: yes
Average cycles (orig. data) <4>: No
Lead R1: V1 (compressed data) <5>: No
Lead R2: II (compressed data) <6>: No
12 leads (compressed data) <7>: No
12 leads (original data) <8>: No
ECG (SCP-ECG) <9>: yes
Use the Yes + or No- keys on the
AT-10 keypad to toggle between
Yes and No
Use the Up & Down arrow keys on
the AT-10 keypad to move from one
field to the another
Press ESC to get out of this menu
Select 3 Configuration of transmission
Make sure the unit is configured the following way:

Press ESC to exit this menu
Select 4 Phone No. Modem
Select T for Tone
Enter 9 if you need an outside line and place a comma after 9 to
pause the modem when dialing out
Enter FAA phone number (405) 954-1971. See chart.
Press Enter to save
Press ESC to exit this menu
Enter one of the following options:

Taking an ECG for FAA
Make sure the following information is entered:
Pat-Name: Firstname-Lastname. Place a – between the first and last name. Can only be a one-word entry.
44 Pat- No: Required Field. Use pilot SSN. The format can be either “xxx-xx-xxxx” or “xx xxx xxxx”
Born: Enter the date of birth. The format has to be either “mm-dd-yy” or “mm dd yy”
Sex: M or F
Height: in inches
Weight: in lbs.
BP: systolic/diastolic
Med: Free text for medication
44 Rem: Required Field. Enter the doctor’s Aviation Medical Examiner Number (AME). Up to 5 digits.
Single ECG Transmission
Push the SEND DATA button after having acquired an ECG
A “data is output” message will appear if the transmission was successful.
Batch Data Transmission
Enter patient demographics
Take an ECG recording
Press STORE DATA after each test
To send a batch
Press MEMORY
Select <1> List /Select.
Press ENTER in the Data Search window
A window with all patient records will open.
Select 2 to transmit
Select “Transmit all files”
Press ENTER
Note: if you want to send selected files, highlight each file and press ENTER. A * will be placed to the left of the
file indicating it has been selected. Select 2 to transmit and “transmit file(s)”. Press ENTER.
The system will send one file at a time, but will re-connect automatically until all files are sent. When the
transmission is done, a “data is output” message will appear above the leads V1-V6 box.
To abort transmission
Press Send Data
Select <1> Quit transmit mode to quit OR
Select <2> Continue transmit to resume transmitting
A “Transmit Mode Ending” message will appear
above the leads V1-V6 box.
Press Memory
Select 1 List/select
Select 2 Transmit
Select “Transmit remaining files” using down arrow
key
Press Enter.
To resume transmission
