2. Safety Instructions

Incorrect use of this tool may cause fire.
Be cautious when using this tool in places where inflammable products are stored.
Heat can cause fire to inflammable products even when they are not in sight.
Do not use the tool in an explosive atmosphere.
Place the tool back in its stand in order to let it cool down before storage.

4. Operation

Verify whether the operating voltage of the unit is compatible with the mains voltage prior to plugging in

this device.

Make sure that the device was not damaged in transit.
Use the rotary control on the front panel to set the desired temperature.

5. Common Causes for Tip Failure

The tip is not sufficiently tinned.
Wiping the tip on a surface with high sulphur content or on a dirty or dry sponge or rag.
Contact between the tip and organic or chemical substances such as plastic, silicone, grease, etc.
Impurities in the solder and/or solder with a low tin content.

Note: The heating element may be damaged when its temperature reaches 430 °C (806 °F).

6. Important Remarks

Remove and clean the tip after heavy or moderate use. We recommend cleaning the tip every day if the

device is used on a daily basis. Clear excess solder from the tip assembly.

The supplied soldering tip is made of iron-clad copper and will retain its projected life span if used properly.
Always tin the tip before returning it to the holder, prior to deactivating the station or in case of long

periods of inactivity. Clean the tip with a wet sponge prior to use.

Do not use temperatures over 400 °C (750 °F) as this will shorten the life span of your tip.
Do not exert too much pressure on the tip while soldering to avoid damage.
Never clean the tip with a file or other abrasive materials.

1. Inleiding

2. Veiligheidsinstructies

Verkeerd gebruik van dit toestel kan brand veroorzaken.
Wees voorzichtig wanneer u dit toestel gebruikt in ruimtes met brandbare stoffen.
Hitte kan brandbare stoffen doen ontbranden, ook al zijn deze stoffen niet zichtbaar.
Vermijd het toestel te gebruiken in ruimtes met een ontplofbare atmosfeer.
Laat de soldeerbout in de houder afkoelen voordat u hem opbergt.

4. Gebruik

Ga na of de werkspanning van het toestel compatibel is met de beschikbare netspanning voor u het toestel

aansluit op het net.

Ga na of het toestel niet werd beschadigd tijdens het transport.

Gebruik de draaiknop op het voorpaneel om de gewenste temperatuur in te stellen.

5. Defecte punt: mogelijke oorzaken

De punt is onvoldoende vertind.
De punt is in contact gekomen met een vuile of droge spons of een oppervlak met een hoog zwavelgehalte.
Contact met organische of chemische stoffen zoals plastic, silicone, vetten, enz.
Onzuiverheden in het soldeer en/of soldeer met een te laag tingehalte.

Opmerking: Het verwarmingselement kan worden beschadigd bij temperaturen van meer dan 430 °C
(806 °F).

6. Belangrijke opmerkingen

Verwijder en reinig de punt na matig of intensief gebruik. U moet de punt dagelijks reinigen indien u het

toestel elke dag gebruikt. Verwijder overtollig soldeer.

De meegeleverde soldeerpunt is vervaardigd uit koper bekleed met ijzer. De levensduur blijft enkel

optimaal indien u de punt gebruikt zoals het hoort.

Vertin de punt voor u hem terug in de houder plaatst, voor u het toestel uitschakelt of indien u het toestel

gedurende lange tijd niet zal gebruiken. Veeg de punt schoon met een natte spons voor u begint.

De levensduur van de punt vermindert indien u te hoge temperaturen (400 °C of 750 °F) gebruikt.
Duw niet te hard op de punt tijdens het solderen om beschadiging te vermijden.
Gebruik geen vijlen of schurende materialen om de punt te reinigen.
