This manual includes all the necessary instructions and advice for using, cleaning and maintaining the appliance. •Please read the instruction manual carefully before using the device. Please keep these instructions, the guarantee certificate, the sales receipt and, if possible, the carton with the inner packaging.

•This appliance is not intended to be used by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instructions concerning the use of the appliance by a person that is responsible for their safety.

•By ignoring the safety instructions the manufacturer can not be hold responsible for the damage.

•To protect children against the dangers of electrical appliances, please make sure that you never leave the appliance unattended. Therefore you have to select a storage place for the appliance where children are not able to grab it. Make sure that the cable is not hanging in a downward position.

•It is absolutely necessary to keep this appliance clean at all times, because it comes into direct contact with food.

•Check if the voltage of the appliance corresponds to the main voltage of your home. Rated voltage: AC220-240V 50/60Hz. The socket must be at least 16A or 10 A slow-protected.

•This appliance complies with all standards regarding electromagnetic fields (EMF). If handled properly and according to the instructions

in this user manual, the appliance is safe to use based on scientific evidence available today.

•Never move the appliance by pulling the cord and make sure the cord can not become entangled.

•The use of accessories that are not recommended by the manufacturer can cause injuries and will invalidate any warranty that you may have.

•Allow the appliance to cool down before you clean or store it.

•Unplug the appliance from the socket when changing the spare parts or for maintenance.

•Note: To avoid danger by accidental resetting the thermal protection, this appliance may not be powered through an external switching device, such as a timer, or connected to a circuit that regularly will be switched on or off.

•Do not use this appliance near direct heat sources.

•Make sure the cord does not touch the hot parts of the appliance.

•We advise to place a heat resistant coating between your table and the appliance (this way you don't get burns on your table or table cloth).

•Do not use this appliance in the bathroom or near a sink filled with water. If this appliance has fallen into the water do not under no circumstances directly grab this appliance, but first pull the plug from the socket.

•Make sure that the cord is not hanging over the edge of the table or counter, does not touch any hot surfaces or is coming directly into contact with the hot parts of the appliance. Do not place the appliance underneath or close to curtains, window coverings etc.

•Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

*Competent qualified repair service: after sales department of the producer or importer or any person who is qualified, approved and competent to perform this kind of repairs in order to avoid all danger. In any case you should return the appliance to this repair service.

Before the first use

•Take the appliance and accessories out the box. Remove the stickers, protective foil or plastic from the device.

•Place the device on a flat stable surface and ensure a minimum of 10 cm. free space around the device. This device is not suitable for installation in a cabinet or for outside use.

•Always place the inner pot inside the outer pot before plugging in the rice cooker.

•When plugging in the cooker, always make sure that the inner pot contains liquid, or be ready to immediately ad oil, butter or margarine to the inner pot.

•Always dry the outer surface of the inner pot before placing it inside the cooker. Any moisture remaining on the inner pot surface may cause a cracking noise while the unit is heating up.

•Put the power cable into the socket. (Note: Make sure the voltage which is indicated on the device matches the local voltage before connecting the device. Voltage 220V-240V 50/60Hz)

•When the device is turned on for the first time, a slight odor will occur. This is normal, ensure adequate ventilation. This fragrance is only temporary and will disappear soon.

Use

Cooking rice

•Use the measuring cup provided to measure the desired quantity of rice. As a guide one cup of rice is sufficient for one person, but this will vary according to individual tastes. Fill the cup with rice leveling the top.

•Thoroughlywashthericeinseveralchangesofcleanwateranddrain. Failuretodosomaycausepoorresultsand/orabuildupofsteamwithinthe appliance.Donotwashthericeintheinnerbowlasyoumaydamageit.

•Transfer the rice to the inner bowl and level the surface of the rice. Add sufficient cold water to the corresponding level marked on the bowl e.g. to cook 3 cups of rice, place the washed rice into the inner bowl and then fill with water up to the 3 cup level. You may find that for your own personal taste you need to slightly adjust the amount of water added. For a softer rice add a little more water, and for a firmer rice a little less water.

•Transfer the inner bowl to the rice cooker ensuring that there is no rice or any moisture on the outside of the bowl.

•Cover with the lid, ensuring that the vent hole in the lid is situated away from the operator.

•Connect the appliance to the power supply. Depress the control lever to the COOK position and the cook light will glow.

•Once the rice is cooked, the appliance will automatically switch to the WARM position and the keep warm light will glow.

•Carefully lift the lid and allow any condensation to drip into the rice cooker. Use the spatula provided to fluff up the rice which is then ready to eat. Replace the lid as quickly as possible. Consume the stirred rice within 1 hour.

•Before cleaning, unplug the appliance and wait for the appliance to cool down.

•Clean the appliance with a damp cloth. Never use harsh and abrasive cleaners, scouring pad or steel wool, which damages the device.

Gebruiksaanwijzing

•Gebruik het apparaat niet indien de stekker, het netsnoer of het apparaat zelf beschadigd is. Indien het netsnoer beschadigd is, moet u het laten vervangen door een bekwame gekwalificeerde dienst(*) om gevaar te voorkomen.

•Haal de stekker uit het stopcontact wanneer het apparaat niet gebruikt wordt.

•Let op: om gevaar te voorkomen door het onbedoeld terugstellen van de thermische beveiliging mag dit apparaat niet gevoed worden via een extern schakelapparaat, zoals een timer, of aangesloten zijn op een circuit dat regelmatig uit en aangezet wordt door het voorwerp.

•Gebruik het apparaat nooit in de buurt van directe hittebronnen.

•Zorg dat het snoer niet in aanraking komt met de warme onderdelen van het apparaat.

•Het is aangeraden een warmtewerende bedekking tussen de tafel en het apparaat te leggen (eveneens om geen sporen tengevolge van de warmte op uw tafellaken of tafel na te laten).

•Gebruik het apparaat nooit in de buurt van een met water gevulde gootsteen of iets dergelijks. Pak een apparaat dat in het water is gevallen nooit zomaar vast, maar trek eerst de stekker uit het stopcontact.

•Laat het snoer niet over de rand van de tafel hangen of tegen hete oppervlakken. Plaats het product niet onder of dicht bij de gordijnen, raambekleding enz.

•Kinderen dienen onder toezicht te staan om te voorkomen dat ze met het apparaat spelen.

*Bekwame gekwalificeerde dienst: after-sales dienst van de fabrikant of de invoerder, die erkend en bevoegd is om dergelijke herstellingen te doen zodat elk gevaar vermeden wordt. Gelieve het toestel bij problemen naar deze dienst terug te brengen.

	Voor het eerste gebruik	5

•Haal het apparaat en de accessoires uit de doos. Verwijder eventuele stickers, beschermfolie of plastic van het apparaat.

•Plaats het apparaat altijd op een vlakke stabiele ondergrond en zorg voor minimaal 10 cm. vrije ruimte rondom het apparaat. Dit apparaat is niet geschikt voor inbouw of buitengebruik.

•Zorg er altijd voor dat de binnenpan zich in het apparaat bevindt voordat u het apparaat aan zet.

•Vul de binnenpan altijd met water voor u de stekker in het stopcontact steekt of zorg ervoor dat u olie of bakboter bij de hand hebt.

•Droog de buitenkant van de binnenpan altijd goed voordat u deze in het apparaat plaatst, een natte binnenpan kan namelijk een krakend geluid veroorzaken.

•Sluit de voedingskabel aan op het stopcontact. (Let op: controleer of het voltage dat wordt aangegeven op het apparaat, overeenkomt met de plaatselijke netspanning voordat u het apparaat aansluit. Voltage 220V-240V 50/60Hz)

•Wanneer het apparaat voor de eerste keer wordt aangezet, zal het een lichte geur afgeven. Dit is normaal, zorg voor voldoende ventilatie. Deze geur is slechts tijdelijk en zal spoedig verdwijnen.

Gebruik

Rijst koken

•Meet de gewenste hoeveelheid rijst af met het bijgeleverde maatbekertje. Als richtlijn kunt u aanhouden dat één bekertje rijst voldoende is voor één persoon. Echter zal de exacte hoeveelheid afhangen van uw persoonlijke voorkeur.

•Wasderijstinvoldoendeschoonwaterenlaathiernadekorrelsuitlekken ineenvergiet.Doetuditnietdankanheteindresultaattegenvallenen kanertijdenshetkokenstoomontstaanindepan.Wasderijstnietinde binnenpan,aangezienditbeschadigingenindepankanveroorzaken.

•Schud de rijst in de binnenpan en voeg voldoende water toe, houd hiervoor de aangegeven verhouding aan op de binnenkant van de binnenpan. Wilt u bijvoorbeeld 3 bekertjes rijst koken, schud dan de gewassen rijst in de binnenpan en vul deze tot aan het niveau voor 3 bekertjes. Afhankelijk van uw persoonlijke smaak kan het zijn dat u zou willen afwijken van de aanbevolen hoeveelheid water. Heeft u voorkeur voor wat zachtere rijst dan moet u iets meer water

toevoegen. Wilt u echter dat de rijst na het koken nog stevig blijft dan dient u iets minder water in de pan schenken.

•Zet de binnenpan in de buitenpan. Zorg ervoor dat de binnenpan aan de buitenkant droog is en dat er geen rijstkorrels aan vastkleven.

•Sluit het deksel van de rijstkoker en zorg ervoor dat de ventilatieopening van u af gericht is.

•Steek de stekker in het stopcontact. Druk de regelknop omlaag in de

‘COOK’ stand het kooklampje zal gaan branden.

Gebruiksaanwijzing

•Wanneer de rijst gekookt is, zal de pan automatisch overschakelen op de ‘WARM’ stand; dit kunt u zien aan het warmteindicatielampje.

•Open het deksel, laat de condens van de deksel in de rijst druppen. Gebruik de spatel om de rijst los te roeren en uit de pan te scheppen. Plaats de deksel zo snel mogelijk weer terug op de rijstkoker.

Consumeer de rijst binnen een uur.

Reiniging en onderhoud

•Haal de stekker uit het stopcontact na het gebruik of als u het apparaat wilt reinigen. Laat het apparaat eerst afkoelen, alvorens u begint met het schoonmaken.

•Reinig het apparaat met een vochtige doek. Gebruik nooit agressieve en schurende schoonmaakmiddelen, een schuurspons of staalwol; dit beschadigt het apparaat.

•Dompel het apparaat niet onder in water of in een andere vloeistof en plaats het apparaat niet in de vaatwasmachine om te reinigen.

Garantievoorwaarden

•Op dit product wordt een garantie van 24 maanden verleend. Uw garantie is geldig wanneer het product is gebruikt in overeenstemming met de gebruiksaanwijzing en voor het doel waarvoor het gemaakt is. Mode d’emploi

•L’utilisateur ne doit pas laisser l’appareil sans surveillance lorsqu’il est branché au secteur.

•Veillez à ce que le cordon ne touche pas les parties brulantes de l’appareil.

•Il est recommandé de mettre un dessous résistant à la chaleur entre votre table et l'appareil (ce procédé évitera de bruler votre table ou votre nappe).

•Ne pas utiliser cet appareil dans la salle de bain ou à proximité d’un évier rempli d’eau. Si cet appareil est tombé dans l’eau il ne faut en aucun cas le saisir directement. Débranchez d’abord la fiche de la prise.

•Veillez à ce que le cordon ne soit pas suspendu au bord d'une table ou d’un comptoir, qu’il ne touche aucune surface chaude ou n'entre pas en contact direct avec des parties brulantes de l'appareil. Ne pas positionner l’appareil sous ou à proximité de rideaux, de tentures, etc.

•Retirer l’appareil et les accessoires du carton. Retirer les autocollants, le film ou le plastique protecteur de l’appareil.

•Posez l’appareil sur une surface plate et stable en laissant 10 cm d’espace libre de chaque côté. Cet appareil ne convient pas à une installation intégrée ou en extérieur.

•Mettez toujours la cuve intérieure dans le récipient externe avant de brancher le cuiseur de riz.

•Lors du branchement du cuiseur, veillez toujours à ce que la cuve intérieure contienne un liquide, ou soyez prêt(e) à y ajouter immédiatement de l’huile, du beurre ou de la margarine.

•Une faible odeur émanera lors de la première mise en marche de l’appareil. Cela est normal, veiller à une bonne aération. L’odeur n’est que temporaire et disparaitra rapidement.

Utilisation

Cuisson du riz

•Utilisez la tasse à mesurer fournie pour doser la quantité de riz souhaitée. En général, une tasse de riz est suffisante pour une personne, mais cela peut varier selon les goûts personnels. Remplissez la tasse à ras bord avec du riz.

•Lavez soigneusement le riz plusieurs fois dans de l'eau propre et égouttez-le. Cette omission entrainera de mauvais résultats et/ou une accumulation de vapeur dans l’appareil. Ne pas laver le riz dans la cuve intérieure car cela pourrait l’endommager.

•Versez le riz dans la cuve intérieure er aplanissez la surface de riz. Ajoutez suffisamment d’eau froide correspondant à la graduation indiquée dans la cuve, ex : pour cuire 3 tasses de riz, mettez le riz lavé dans la cuve intérieure et puis remplissez-la d’eau jusqu’à la graduation des 3 tasses. Il se peut que pour des goûts personnels, il soit nécessaire de varier sensiblement la quantité d’eau ajoutée. Ajoutez un petit peu plus d’eau pour un riz plus moelleux, et un peu moins d’eau pour un riz plus ferme.

•Placez la cuve intérieure dans le cuiseur à riz en vérifiant que l'extérieur de la cuve ne comporte ni riz ou humidité.

•Fermez avec le couvercle en veillant à ce que l’évent du couvercle soit éloigné de l’utilisateur.

•Branchez l’appareil à l’alimentation électrique. Baissez le levier de commande sur la position COOK (Cuisson) et le voyant de cuisson s’allumera.

•Lorsque le riz est cuit, l'appareil se mettra automatiquement sur la position WARM (Chaud) et le voyant du maintien au chaud s’allumera. Laissez l’appareil sur cette position pendant au moins 15 minutes avant de soulever le couvercle.

Mode d’emploi

•Soulevez le couvercle avec précaution et laissez la condensation s’égoutter dans le cuiseur de riz. Utilisez la spatule fournie pour aérer le riz qui est prêt à être consommé. Replacez le couvercle aussi rapidement que possible. Consumez dans l’heure le riz mélangé.

Nettoyage et entretien

•Avant le nettoyage, débranchez l’appareil et attendez qu’il refroidisse.

•Nettoyez l’appareil avec un chiffon humide. N’utilisez jamais de nettoyants forts et abrasifs, de tampon à récurer ni de paille de fer, car cela endommagerait l’appareil.

•N’immergez jamais l’appareil dans l’eau ni aucun autre liquide. L’appareil ne va pas au lave-vaisselle.
