Forbestmowingandmaximumaircirculation,operate theengineattheFASTposition.Airisrequiredto thoroughlycutgrassclippings,sodonotsetthe height-of-cutsolowastototallysurroundthemower deckinuncutgrass.Alwaystrytohave1sideofthe mowerdeckfreefromuncutgrass,whichallowsair tobedrawnintothemowerdeck.
CuttingaLawnfortheFirstTime
Cutgrassslightlylongerthannormaltoensurethat thecuttingheightofthemowerdeckdoesnotscalp anyunevenground.However,thecuttingheight usedinthepastisgenerallythebestonetouse. Whencuttinggrasslongerthan15cm(6inches)tall, youmaywanttocutthelawntwicetoensurean acceptablequalityofcut.
CuttingaThirdoftheGrassBlade
Itisbesttocutonlyaboutathirdofthegrassblade. Cuttingmorethanthatisnotrecommendedunless grassissparse,oritislatefallwhengrassgrows moreslowly.
