The number of characters used was insufficient for some wire­less security types. This has been fixed.
Number of characters that can be used: 63 ASCII Number of input characters: 64 hexadecimal digits (256-bit)
CAUTION
The s9129.20051.0 version firmware cannot be updated using a USB flash drive. Follow the instructions in the “Firmware update procedures” section of this document to update using Webpage mode.

Checking the firmware version

Release Notes
Check the firmware version of your CR-H700 before starting firm­ware updating procedures.
1 Press the SOURCE button repeatedly to select net-
work mode.
o
You can also use the remote control's NET button.
2 Press the BAND button to select “Internet Radio”.
4 Turn the MULTI JOG knob to select “Information”,
and then press the ENTER button.
The menu item changes as follows: Device Name Edit q Net work q Information q Software Update q (Return to) Device Name Edit
5 Turn the MULTI JOG knob to select “Firmware
Version”, and then press the ENTER button.
The firmware version will appear on the display.

Press the BAND button repeatedly to cycle through the fol­lowing options.

You can also use the remote control's TUNER button.
3 Press the MENU button to select “Setup Menu”.

Firmware update procedures

Release Notes
Download the desired firmware from the TEAC website* and save the file on your computer before following the instructions below. *http://teac-global.com/
CAUTION
Uncompress the downloaded file.
This document uses screen shots of Internet Explorer 8 for Windows XP.
1 Connect the unit to your LAN using a wireless or
wired connection.
For detailed information, see the “Connections” and “Network Configuration” sections.
OR
4 Press the MENU button on the unit. Select
“Software Update”, and then select “Webpage”.
o
The unit will restart automatically.
o
The unit's IP address will appear on the its display after it restarts.
5 Start your web browser, and then enter the unit's
IP address.
6 Click “Browse...” and then select the desired rm-
ware le (“fw” extension).

TUNER mode.
Select the directory with the uncompressed file downloaded from the TEAC website.
3 Select “Internet Radio” or “Media Player” by
repeatedly pressing the BAND button on the unit
or the TUNER button on the remote control.

7 Click Upload.
If the following message appears, click OK, and then return to Step 5 again.
8 Click OK to start the rmware update.
CAUTION
o
If the following window is displayed on the screen during the update process, the unit's firmware is being updated. Please wait.
WARNING
Unplugging the power cord or the occurrence of a power outage could interrupt the update process and result in per­manent damage to the unit.
o
If the following message appears, do not click OK until the unit restarts. If you click OK by mistake before the unit restarts, the webpage will not appear.
When the update starts, the following message appears.
o
The update status is also displayed on the unit.
o
After the firmware update completes, the unit will restart automatically.
