Slim and light design
Its light weight, only 2.2 lbs., and compact dimensions make the LMD-650 ideal for both portable use and for installation in space-critical environments.
High-brightness LCD panel
The high-brightness and high-contrast performance provided by the 6.5-inch LCD panel offers excellent picture quality under high ambient light conditions, including outdoor use.
Multi-layer AR-coated protection panel
The LCD panel adopts a four-layer anti-reflective coating that reduces diffused light reflection for clear, high-contrast image reproduction, and helps to protect the panel from damage.
Low power consumption and battery operation
The low power consumption of the LMD-650 makes it attractive for use in vehicles such as OB vans. It operates on 12 V DC or via a supplied AC adapter. Alternatively, an optional rechargeable battery pack can be attached, providing extended operating times for portable use of up to 6 hours with a Sony BP-L40A and 10 hours with a BP-L60A.
Versatile sliding stand functions
The monitor stand can also be used as a carrying handle. When not in use for either of these functions, it is stored in the rear panel where it protects the connectors.
Viewing hood
A viewing hood is supplied as a standard accessory for use in bright sunshine.
NTSC/PAL operation
The LMD-650 accepts NTSC and PAL composite signals, with automatic switching.
Video

Selectable aspect ratio
Aspect ratio is selectable between 4:3 and 16:9, depending on the video source.
Safety area marker
An 80% safety area marker can be viewed on-screen.

Overscan function
The display can be set to a 5% overscan mode.
