technology works with Active Shutter glasses to consecutively project right eye and left

The new BRAVIA LX900 uses an Intelligent Presence Sensor with clever face recognition

technology to understand who is watching the screen. It will dim the picture or turn

it off if no-one is looking, tell your kids if they’re sitting too close or optimise viewing

when you’re not sitting directly in front of the TV. The sensor can even recognise

your viewing habits and recommend programmes you might like to watch.

New BRAVIA TVs also come with a range of eco-features such as the Energy

Saving Switch and Sensor which optimises screen brightness to suit ambient light

and colour temperature in the room.

BRAVIA sets with Full HD 1080 reproduce the maximum HD1080 picture exactly as it was transmitted. This is instead of creating scaled images which have been digitally reduced to ﬁt lower-resolution TVs. An unprecedented degree of detail and clarity is brought to standard television broadcasts, with Full HD boosting the image resolution by up to four times.

With BRAVIA Internet Video and BRAVIA Internet Widgets you can open up a whole world of entertainment experiences. Connect to the Internet and stream full-screen videos from sites like YouTube, or add apps to your TV to keep up-to-date with your favourite websites, including

Twitter, Facebook and more.

Motionﬂow 100Hz technology doubles the frame rate

from the standard 50 frames per second to 100Hz to deliver a crisp, ﬂuid and realistic viewing experience during fast-action scenes. For more details see page 21.

Using Edge LED backlight technology results in a much thinner and lighter BRAVIA when compared to conventional direct-type backlight system televisions.

Typically used for small to midsized computer monitors. Sony has adapted this new type of backlighting for LCD TVs. The result is a more efﬁcient light transmission process and lower power consumption without any compromise to picture quality.
