Innovative wax guard technology User Guide
Congratulations!
C-Guard –
The next generation wax guard
With C-Guard from Siemens you have received
the next generation of wax protection. The only
wax guard to use the latest in wax proofing tech-
with a membrane barrier to protect it from cerumen
and moisture. It works without affecting the hear-
ing instrument response because the membrane
is acoustically transparent.
Easy to maintain, easy to replace
Cerumen that has built up externally on your
C-Guard can be easily removed with a soft tissue.
For best results, it is recommended to change your
C-Guard approximately every three months.
Replacement is very simple. A special tool is enclosed.
Good lighting is all that’s needed to determine if your
C-Guard needs replacing.

Cleaning Instruction
Clean the C-Guard using a soft tissue.
No other tools are required.
Place a tissue around your finger
and use a gentle back-and-forth cleaning motion.
Precaution:
Never use pressure or rotating action while cleaning!
Inspection
After cleaning, hold the C-Guard to a light – if light doesn’t reflect off of the C-Guard, then a replacement is necessary. It’s that simple.
A replacement is also necessary, if the sound quality hasn’t improved after cleaning.
