Control panel
There are multiple versions of this espresso machine, with different control panels. Each version has
its own type number. You can find the type number on the data label on the inside of the service door
(Fig. 16).
Refer to figure B and C for an overview of all buttons and icons. Below you find the description.
Use the up and down arrows to scroll through the display and tap the OK icon to select or confirm
your choices.

Congratulations on your purchase of a Saeco full-automatic coffee machine! To fully benefit from the

Read the separate safety booklet carefully before you use the machine for the first time and save it for
future reference.

Note: This machine has been tested with coffee. Although it has been carefully cleaned, there may be
some coffee residues left. We guarantee, however, that the machine is absolutely new.
First installation
To prepare your coffee machine for use, you need to perform a few simple steps such as filling the
water circuit and activating the AquaClean filter. These steps are shown in the separate quick start
guide.
For the best-tasting coffee, you need to brew 5 coffees initially to allow the machine to complete its
self-adjustment.
The machine has been set up to get the best taste out of your coffee beans. Therefore we advise you
not to adjust the grinder settings until you have brewed 100-150 cups (approx. 1 month of usage).

AquaClean filter
The AquaClean filter is designed to reduce limescale deposits in your coffee machine and provide
filtered water to preserve the aroma and flavor of each cup of coffee. If you use a series of 8
AquaClean filters as indicated by the machine and in this user manual, you don't have to descale your
machine for up to 5000 cups. With each filter you can enjoy up to 625 cups, depending on the
selected coffee varieties and the rinsing and cleaning frequencies.
Preparing the AquaClean filter for activation
Before you place the AquaClean filter in the water tank, you need to prepare it for use:
1 Shake the filter for about 5 seconds (Fig. 1).
2 Fully immerse the filter upside down in a jug with cold water for at least 30 seconds. Wait until no
more air bubbles come out (Fig. 2).
3 Push the filter onto the filter connection to the lowest possible point. (Fig. 3)
Activating the AquaClean filter
You need to activate every new AquaClean filter that you use. By activating the AquaClean filter, the
machine monitors the capacity of the AquaClean filter and the number of filters used. There are 3
ways to activate the AquaClean filter.
1. Activating the AquaClean filter during first installation
After switching on for the first time, the machine guides you through the first installation steps such as
filling the water tank, filling the water circuit and activating the AquaClean filter. Simply follow the
instructions on the screen.
2. Activating the AquaClean filter when prompted
Replace the AquaClean filter when the screen shows the message 'Replace AquaClean filter?'. Then
follow the instructions on the screen to activate the filter properly.
Replace the AquaClean filter at least every 3 months, even if the machine has not yet indicated that
replacement is required.
3. Activating the AquaClean filter at any other time
You can start (re)using the AquaClean filter at any time by following the instructions below.
1 Tap the Settings
2 Tap the OK icon. When the activation screen appears, tap the OK icon again.
3 Follow the instructions on the screen.
Note: In some situations the machine will tell you that you need to descale the machine before you
can install and activate a new AquaClean filter. This is because your machine has to be completely
limescale-free before you start to use the AquaClean filter. Follow the instructions on the screen.

Measuring water hardness
During first installation, you have to set the water hardness. Follow the steps on the screen and use
the water hardness test strip supplied. To set the water hardness later, tap the Settings icon and
select 'water hardness'.
1 Immerse the water hardness test strip in tap water for 1 second. Then wait for 1 minute.
2 Check how many squares have turned red.
3 Select the appropriate water hardness setting and tap the OK icon to confirm.

Brewing drinks
You can select a drink by tapping one of the one-touch drink icons (Fig. 5) or by selecting another
drink in the menu by tapping the '6 more drinks' icon (SM7580, SM7581, SM7583 only) or the '4 more
drinks' icon (SM7480 only). After selecting a drink, you can personalize it by adjusting the settings (see
'Personalizing your drinks').

To brew two cups, first tap a drink and then press the start/stop button twice. You can also brew
two cups by tapping a one-touch drink icon twice. The machine automatically carries out two
grinding cycles in sequence. This is possible for most drinks.
-
Tap the profiles icon to brew one of your saved drinks.
-
Slide the dispensing spout up or down to adjust the height to the size of the cup or glass you are
using.
Brewing coffee
1 Fill the water tank with tap water and fill the bean hopper with beans.
Tip: Slide the dispensing spout to the uppermost position for easy access to the water tank.
2 Tap one of the one-touch drink icons (Fig. 5) or tap the '6 more drinks' icon (SM7580, SM7581,
SM7583 only) or the '4 more drinks' icon (SM7480 only) to select another drink.
3 Use the up and down arrows (Fig. 6) to adjust the coffee strength. Tap the OK button if you want to
adjust more settings.
4 Press the start/stop button at any time to start brewing the selected drink, or after adjusting all
settings tap the OK icon if you want to save your settings to a profile (see 'Creating a profile').

Brewing milk-based drinks
1 Fill the water tank with tap water and fill the bean hopper with beans.
Tip: Slide the dispensing spout to the uppermost position for easy access to the water tank.
2 SM7580, SM7581, SM7583: Unscrew the lid of the milk container and fill the milk container with
milk (Fig. 7). Then place the metal milk tube in the container.
SM7480: Place the metal milk tube directly into a milk container.
Always use milk coming directly from the fridge for optimal results.
3 Open the door of the internal cappuccinatore (Fig. 8) and connect the flexible milk tube to the
cappuccinatore (Fig. 9). Then close the door of the internal cappuccinatore again.
4 Tap one of the one-touch drink icons (Fig. 5) or tap the '6 more drinks' icon (SM7580, SM7581,
SM7583 only) or the '4 more drinks' icon (SM7480 only) to select another drink.
5 Tap the OK icon if you want to adjust the settings. You can adjust the settings to your preference
with the up and down arrows (Fig. 6). Tap the OK icon to confirm. Then you can adjust the next
setting.
6 After adjusting all settings, tap the OK icon to save your settings to a profile (see 'Creating a
profile').
7 Press the start/stop

Brewing coffee with pre-ground coffee
1 Open the lid and pour one measuring scoop of pre-ground coffee into the pre-ground coffee
compartment (Fig. 10). Then close the lid.
2 After selecting a drink, tap the OK icon and use the up and down arrows to select pre-ground
coffee (Fig. 11). Then press the start/stop button.
Note: If you select ground-coffee, you cannot adjust the coffee strength and brew more than one
drink at the same time.
Dispensing hot water
1 Press the one-touch 'Hot water' icon (Fig. 12).
2 Press the start/stop button to start dispensing hot water.
Personalizing drinks and creating profiles
This machine allows you to adjust the settings of a drink to your own preference and to save the
adjusted drink in a personal profile. The different profiles have different colours. There are two ways to
create a profile:
1 When brewing a drink: Press the OK icon to adjust the settings of the selected drink and after
adjusting all settings tap the OK icon to save the personalized drink to a profile.
2 Via the 'Profiles' menu: Select a profile and then personalize the drinks one by one.
Personalizing your drinks
You can adjust the settings to your own preference:
1 Tap one of the one-touch drink icons or tap the '6 more drinks' icon (SM7580, SM7581, SM7583
only) or the '4 more drinks' icon (SM7480 only) to select your preferred drink (Fig. 5).
2 Tap the OK icon to adjust the settings. The screen shows the settings you can adjust to your
preference. Depending on the type of drink, you can adjust coffee strength, volume of coffee and
milk, coffee temperature and taste.
3 Use the up and down arrows to set your preferred level (Fig. 6) and tap the OK icon to confirm.
Depending on the type of drink, the next adjustable setting appears on the screen.
4 After customizing all settings, tap the OK icon to save these settings to your profile (Fig. 13) and
follow the instructions on the screen.
Creating a profile
1 Tap the Profiles icon repeatedly to select one of the profiles. All profiles have different colors.
You can also use the up and down icons to select your profile.
2 Tap the OK icon to customize the profile.
3 Use the up and down arrows to select the drink you want to customize and tap the OK icon to
confirm.
4 Use the up and down arrows to adjust the settings to your preference and tap the OK icon to
confirm. Customized drinks are marked with an asterisk (*) (Fig. 14).
Adjusting grinder settings
You can adjust the grinder settings by using the grind setting knob inside the bean container. There
are 12 different grind settings you can choose from. The lower the setting, the stronger the coffee.

Note: You can only adjust the grind settings when the machine is grinding coffee beans. You need to
brew 2 to 3 drinks before you can taste the full difference.
Caution: Do not turn the grind setting knob more than one notch at a time to prevent damage to the
grinder.
1 Place a cup under the coffee dispensing spout.
2 Open the lid of the bean hopper.
3 Tap the ESPRESSO icon. Then press the start/stop button.
4 When the grinder starts grinding, press down the grind setting knob and turn it to the left or right
(Fig. 15).
Handling the brew group

brew group.
Removing the brew group from the machine
1 Switch off the machine by pressing the main switch on the back of the machine.
2 Remove the coffee grounds container.
3 Open the service door (Fig. 16).
4 Remove the coffee residue drawer (Fig. 17).
5 Press the PUSH button (Fig. 18) and pull at the grip of the brew group to remove it from the
machine (Fig. 19).

Reinserting the brew group
Before you slide the brew group back into the machine, make sure it is in the correct position.
1 Check if the arrow on the yellow cylinder on the side of the brew group is aligned with the black
arrow and N (Fig. 20).
-
If they are not aligned, push down the lever until it is in contact with the base of the brew group
(Fig. 21).
2 Make sure that the yellow locking hook on the other side of the brew group is in the correct
position.
-
To position the hook correctly, push it upwards until it is in uppermost position (Fig. 22).
3 Slide the brew group back into the machine along the guiding rails on the sides until it locks into
position with a click. Do not press the PUSH button.
4 Place back the coffee residues drawer and close the service door. Then place back the coffee
grounds container.
Cleaning and maintenance
Regular cleaning and maintenance keeps your machine in top condition and ensures good-tasting
coffee for a long time, a steady coffee flow and a perfect milk froth.

3 Let the brew group air-dry before you place it back. Do not dry the brew group with a cloth to
prevent fibers from collecting inside the brew group.
Cleaning the brew group with the coffee oil remover tablets
Only use Philips coffee oil remover tablets. Tap the Clean icon and select 'Brew group clean'. Then

Lubricating the brew group
Lubricate the brew group regularly to ensure that the moving parts continue to move smoothly. See
the table below for the lubrication frequency. Visit www.saeco.com/care for detailed video

Cleaning programs for the internal cappuccinatore
The machines has three programs to clean the internal cappuccinatore. The Auto Steam Shoot
cleaning program is automatically performed by the machine after brewing a milk-based drink. You
can select the HYGIESTEAM or DEEP MILK CLEAN program by tapping the Clean icon and scrolling
through the cleaning menu. Then follow the instructions on the screen.
-
Auto Steam Shoot: the machine shoots steam through the internal cappuccinatore to quickly rinse
it.
-
HYGIESTEAM: the machine thoroughly cleans the internal milk system with steam. Place the milk
tube in the milk tube holder (Fig. 28) and follow the instructions on the screen.
-
DEEP MILK CLEAN: Perform the 'DEEP MILK CLEAN' procedure with the Philips milk circuit cleaner
for a thorough cleaning of the internal milk system.

Cleaning the internal cappuccinatore under the tap
1 Open the door of the internal cappuccinatore (Fig. 8).
2 Remove the internal cappuccinatore by pulling it down (Fig. 29).
3 Disassemble the internal cappuccinatore by pulling the bottom part off the top part (Fig. 30).
4 Disassemble all parts (Fig. 31) and clean them under the tap.
5 Reassemble the internal cappuccinatore.
6 To place back the internal cappuccinatore, put it in upright position and make sure the holes are
aligned with the two tubes on the machine. Then move the internal cappuccinatore upwards until it
locks into place (Fig. 32).
7 Close the door.

Descaling procedure
Please use Philips descaler only. Under no circumstances should you use a descaler based on sulfuric
acid, hydrochloric acid, sulfamic or acetic acid (vinegar) as this may damage the water circuit in your
machine and not dissolve the limescale properly. Not using the Philips descaler will void your
warranty. Failure to descale the appliance will also void your warranty. You can buy Philips descaling
solution in the online shop at www.saeco.com/care.
1 When the machine asks you to descale it, press the start/stop
without being prompted by the machine, tap the Clean icon and select 'Descale'.
2 Remove the drip tray and the coffee grounds container, empty them and put them back into place.
3 Remove the water tank and empty it. Then remove the AquaClean filter.
4 Pour the whole bottle of Philips descaler in the water tank and then fill it with water up to the CALC
CLEAN level. Then place it back into the machine.
5 Place a large container (1.5 l) under the coffee dispensing spout.
6 Place the milk tube on the milk tube holder.
7 Follow the instructions on the screen to start the descaling procedure. The descaling procedure
lasts approx. 30 minutes and consists of a descaling cycle and a rinsing cycle.
8 Once the descaling cycle is finished, you need to rinse the water tank and water circuit. Follow the
instructions on the screen.
9 Place a new AquaClean filter in the water tank.
Tip: Using the AquaClean filter reduces the need for descaling!

What to do if the descaling procedure is interrupted
You can exit the descaling procedure by pressing the on/off button on the control panel. If the
descaling procedure is interrupted before it is completely finished, do the following:
1 Empty and rinse the water tank thoroughly.
2 Fill the water tank with fresh water up to the CALC CLEAN level indication and switch the machine
back on. The machine will heat up and perform an automatic rinsing cycle.
3 Before brewing any drinks, perform a manual rinsing cycle. To perform a manual rinsing cycle, first
dispense half a water tank of hot water and then brew 2 cups of pre-ground coffee without adding
ground coffee.
Note: If the descaling procedure was not completed, the machine will require another descaling
procedure as soon as possible.

Below you find a list of the error codes showing problems that you can solve yourself. Video

Switch off the machine with the main switch. Rinse the brew
group with fresh water, let it air-dry and then lubricate it.

switch the machine on again.
Switch off the machine with the main switch. Remove the brew
group and reinsert it. Make sure that the brew group is in the
correct position before you insert it. Consult chapter 'Handling
the brew group or visit www.saeco.com/care for detailed
video instructions. Then switch the machine on again.
Restart the machine by switching it off and on again with the
main switch. If this works, dispense 2-3 cups of hot water.
Descale the machine if you have not done so for a longer
period of time.
Remove the AquaClean filter and try again to brew a coffee. If
this works, make sure that the AquaClean filter is prepared
properly before you place it back (see 'Preparing the
AquaClean filter for activation'). Put the AquaClean filter back
into the water tank. If this still does not work, the filter might be
clogged and needs to be replaced.
Switch the machine off and switch it back on again after 30
minutes.

To clean and descale the machine, only use the Philips maintenance products. These products can be
purchased from your local retailer, from the authorized service centers or online at
www.saeco.com/care. To find a full list of spare parts online, enter the model number of your
machine. You can find the model number on the inside of the service door.

This chapter summarizes the most common problems you could encounter with the machine. Support

Problem
The drip tray fills up
quickly.

Problem Cause Solution
The type of milk used is not
suitable for frothing.
Different types of milk result in different
amounts of froth and different froth
qualities. We have tested the following
milk types which proved to deliver a
good milk froth result: semi-skimmed or
full-fat cow's milk, soy milk and lactosefree milk.
The milk is splashing. The milk you use is not cold
enough.
The flexible milk tube is not
connected properly.
The cappuccinatore and milk
tubes are not clean.
Make sure you use cold milk coming
directly from the fridge.
Open the door of the coffee dispensing
spout (Fig. 8) and check if the flexible
milk tube is fully connected to the
cappuccinatore (Fig. 9). Note that the
cappuccinatore and milk tubes may be
hot. Let the cappuccinatore and the
tubes cool down before you touch
them.
Remove and disassemble the internal
cappuccinatore (see 'Cleaning the
internal cappuccinatore under the tap').
Rinse all parts under the tap. For a
thorough cleaning, use the Philips milk
circuit cleaner and perform the DEEP
MILK CLEAN procedure via the cleaning
( ) menu. Note that if the parts have
been cleaned in the dishwasher, they
may have become clogged by food
particles or detergent residues. A visual
check that they are not obstructed is
also recommended.
We advise you to perform the
HygieSteam program every day: 1) Press

Første installation
Inden du begynder at bruge din kaffemaskine, skal du fylde vand på vandkredsløbet og aktivere
AquaClean-filteret. I den særskilte lynvejledning er forklaret, hvordan du gør.
Dansk
Hvis du vil have den bedst-smagende kaffe, skal du først brygge 5 kopper kaffe for at lade maskinen
udføre sin selvjustering.
Maskinen er indstillet til at få den bedste smag ud af dine kaffebønner. Vi anbefaler dig derfor ikke at
justere kværnindstillingerne, før du har brygget 100-150 kopper kaffe (ca. 1 måneds brug).
AquaClean-filter
AquaClean-filteret er designet til at reducere kalkaflejringer i din kaffemaskine og filtrere vandet, så
både smag og aroma bevares i hver enkelt kop kaffe. Hvis du bruger en serie med 8 AquaClean-filtre
som vist på maskinen og i denne manuel, behøver du ikke at afkalke din maskine for op til 5000
kopper. Med hvert enkelt filter kan du nyde op til 625 kopper afhængigt af de valgte kaffetyper og
frekvenser for skylning og rengøring.
AquaClean-filteret gøres klar til aktivering
Inden du sætter AquaClean-filteret i vandbeholderen, skal du gøre det klar til brug:
1 Ryst filteret i cirka 5 sekunder (fig. 1).
2 Vend filteret på hovedet, læg det i en kande med koldt vand, og vent i mindst 30 sekunder. Vent,
indtil der ikke kommer flere luftbobler ud (fig. 2).
3 Skub filteret på filtertilslutningen så langt ned (fig. 3) som muligt.
Aktivering af AquaClean-filteret
Alle nye AquaClean-filtre skal aktiveres inden brug. Ved at aktivere AquaClean-filteret kan maskinen
overvåge AquaClean-filterets kapacitet og antallet af brugte filtre. AquaClean-filteret kan aktiveres på
tre forskellige måder.

1. Aktivering af AquaClean-filteret i forbindelse med den første installation
Når maskinen tændes for første gang, vejleder den dig gennem den første installation med bl.a.
påfyldning af vand i vandtanken og i vandkredsløbet samt aktivering af AquaClean-filteret. Følg
anvisningerne på skærmen.
2. Aktivér AquaClean-filteret, når maskinen giver besked
Udskift AquaClean-filteret, når skærmen viser meddelelsen "Replace AquaClean filter". Følg derefter
vejledningen på skærmen for at aktivere filteret korrekt.
Udskift AquaClean-filteret mindst hver tredje måned, også selvom maskinen endnu ikke har vist, at
udskiftning kræves.
3. Aktivering af AquaClean-filteret på andre tidspunkter
Du kan begynde at (gen)bruge AquaClean-filteret på et hvilket som helst tidspunkt ved at følge
anvisningen nedenfor.
1 Tryk på ikonet Indstillinger.
2 Tryk på ikonet OK. Når aktiveringsskærmen vises, trykker du på ikonet OK igen.
3 Følg anvisningerne på skærmen.
Bemærk: I visse situationer giver maskinen besked om, at du skal afkalke maskinen, inden du kan
montere og aktivere et nyt AquaClean-filter. Maskinen skal nemlig være helt fri for kalk, før du
begynder at bruge AquaClean-filteret. Følg anvisningerne på skærmen.
Ved hjælp af ikonerne Op og Ned vælger du "AquaClean" (fig. 4).

Måling af vandets hårdhedsgrad
I forbindelse med den første installation skal du indstille en værdi for vandets hårdhed Følg
anvisningerne på skærmen, og brug den medfølgende teststrimmel til vandets hårdhed. Hvis du vil
angive vandets hårdhed på et senere tidspunkt, skal du trykke på ikonet Indstillinger
"water hardness".
1 Dyp teststrimlen til måling af vandets hårdhedsgrad i vand fra vandhanen i 1 sekund. Vent i ét
minut.
2 Kontrollér, hvor mange felter der er blevet røde.
3 Vælg den korrekte indstilling for vandets hårdhed, og tryk på ikonet OK for at bekræfte.

Brygning af drikke
Du kan vælge kaffe ved at trykke på ét af one-touch drinkikonerne (fig. 5) eller ved at vælge en anden
slags i menuen ved at trykke på ikonet "6 more drinks" (6 andre typer kaffe) (kun SM7580, SM7581,
SM7583) eller ikonet "4 more drinks" (4 andre typer kaffe) (kun SM7480). Efter valg af drik kan du
personligt tilpasse den ved at ændre indstillinger (se 'Vælg personlige indstillinger af dine drikke').

Du brygger to kopper ved først at trykke på en drik og derefter trykke på knappen Start/stop to
gange. Du kan også brygge to kopper ved at trykke på one-touch drik-ikonet to gange. Maskinen
kværner automatisk kaffe to gange efter hinanden. Dette gælder for de fleste drikke.

Tryk på ikonet for profiler for at brygge en af dine gemte drikke.

Du kan justere højden på udløbet efter størrelsen på din kop eller dit glas ved at flytte udløbet op
eller ned.
Kaffebrygning
1 Fyld postevand i vandbeholderen, og fyld kaffebønner i beholderen til bønner.
Tip: Skub udløbsrøret til den øverste position for at få nem adgang til vandbeholderen.
2 Tryk på ét af one-touch drinkikonerne (fig. 5), eller tryk på ikonet "6 more drinks" (6 andre typer
kaffe) (kun SM7580, SM7581, SM7583) eller "4 more drinks" (4 andre typer kaffe) (kun SM7480) for at
vælge en anden slags kaffe.
3 Brug pil op og pil ned (fig. 6) til at justere kaffens styrke. Tryk på knappen OK, hvis du vil foretage
flere indstillinger.
4 Tryk på knappen start/stop for at starte brygningen af den valgte kaffe. Tryk på ikonet OK efter
at have foretaget de ønskede indstillinger for at gemme indstillingerne i en profil (se 'Oprettelse af
en profil').
Brygning af mælkebaserede drikke
1 Fyld postevand i vandbeholderen, og fyld kaffebønner i beholderen til bønner.
Tip: Skub udløbsrøret til den øverste position for at få nem adgang til vandbeholderen.
2 SM7580, SM7581, SM7583: Skru låget til mælkebeholderen af, og fyld mælkebeholderen med
mælk (fig. 7). Sæt metalmælkerøret i beholderen.
SM7480: Sæt metalmælkerøret direkte ned i mælkebeholderen.
Brug altid mælk direkte fra køleskabet, da det giver det bedste resultat.

3 Åbn lågen til den indbyggede mælkeopskummer, (fig. 8) og slut det fleksible mælkerør til
mælkeopskummeren (fig. 9). Luk derefter igen lågen til den indbyggede mælkeopskummer.
4 Tryk på ét af one-touch drinkikonerne (fig. 5), eller tryk på ikonet "6 more drinks" (6 andre typer
kaffe) (kun SM7580, SM7581, SM7583) eller "4 more drinks" (4 andre typer kaffe) (kun SM7480) for at
vælge en anden slags kaffe.
5 Tryk på ikonet OK, hvis du foretage indstillinger. Du kan finde frem til din foretrukne indstilling med
op- og ned-pilene (fig. 6). Tryk på ikonet OK for at bekræfte. Derefter kan du foretage den næste
indstilling.
6 Efter du har foretaget alle indstillingerne, skal du trykke på ikonet OK for at gemme dine
indstillinger i en profil (se 'Oprettelse af en profil').
7 Tryk på knappen start/stop
8 Umiddelbart efter afgivelse af mælk udføres funktionen "Auto Steam Shoot". Maskinen tvinger
damp gennem det indbyggede mælkesystem for at rengøre det hurtigt.

Kaffebrygning med formalet kaffe
1 Åbn låget, og hæld én måleske formalet kaffe i beholderen (fig. 10) til formalet kaffe. Luk derefter
låget.
2 Efter valg af drik skal du trykke på ikonet OK og vælge formalet kaffe (fig. 11) ved hjælp af pil op og
ned. Tryk derefter på knappen start/stop .
Bemærk: Hvis du vælger formalet kaffe, kan du hverken justere kaffens styrke eller brygge mere end
én kop ad gangen.
Tapning af varmt vand
1 Tryk på one-touch ikonet (fig. 12) for "Varmt vand".
2 Tryk på knappen start/stop for at begynde at dispensere varmt vand.

Personlig indstilling af drikke og oprettelse af profiler
Med denne maskine kan du vælge dine egne indstillinger til en drik, og du kan gemme den tilpassede
drik i en personlig profil. De forskellige profiler har forskellige farver. Der er to måder at oprette en
profil på:
1 Brygning af en drik: Tryk på ikonet OK for at foretage indstillinger af den valgte drik. Tryk på ikonet
OK, efter at have foretaget de ønskede indstillinger for at gemme den personligt indstillede drik i
en profil.
2 Via menuen "Profiler": Vælg en profil, og foretag derefter indstillinger af den ene drik efter den
anden.
Vælg personlige indstillinger af dine drikke
Du kan angive indstillingerne, som du ønsker:
1 Tryk på ét af one-touch drinkikonerne, eller tryk på ikonet "6 more drinks" (6 andre typer kaffe) (kun
SM7580, SM7581, SM7583) eller ikonet "4 more drinks" (kun SM7480) for at vælge den ønskede type
kaffe (fig. 5).
2 Tryk på ikonet OK for at foretage indstillinger. På skærmen vises de indstillinger, du kan angive,
som du ønsker. Afhængigt af hvilken type kaffe, du vælger, kan du indstille styrke, kaffemængde,
mælk og vand, temperatur og smag.

Du kan også bruge ikonerne Op og Ned for at vælge din profil.
2 Tryk på ikonet OK for at indstille profilen.
3 Ved hjælp af pil op og pil ned kan du vælge den drik, der skal tilpasses. Tryk på ikonet OK for at
bekræfte.
4 Ved hjælp af pil op og pil ned kan du foretage dine ønskede indstillinger. Tryk på ikonet OK for at
bekræfte. Personligt tilpassede drikke er markeret med en asterisk (*) (fig. 14).

Regulering af formalingsindstillinger
Du kan justere formalingsindstillingerne ved hjælp af knappen til formalingsindstillinger inde i
kaffebønnebeholderen. Du kan vælge mellem 12 forskellige formalingsindstillinger. Jo lavere du sætter
indstillingen, jo stærkere er kaffen.
Bemærk: Du kan kun justere formalingsindstilling, når maskinen maler kaffebønner. Det er først efter
to eller tre drikke, du vil kunne smage den fulde forskel.
Forsigtig: Drej ikke knappen til formalingsindstillinger mere end ét hak ad gangen for at undgå
beskadigelse af kværnen.
1 Sæt en kop under kaffeudløbsrøret.
2 Åbn låget til beholderen til kaffebønner.
3 Tryk på ikonet ESPRESSO. Tryk derefter på knappen start/stop .
4 Når kværnen begynder at male kaffen, skal du trykke knappen til formalingsindstillinger ned og
dreje den til venstre eller højre.
Håndtering af bryggeenheden
Gå til www.saeco.com/care, hvor der er detaljerede videoanvisninger om, hvordan du fjerner,
indsætter og rengør bryggeenheden.
Sådan tages bryggeenheden ud af maskinen
1 Sluk maskinen ved at trykke på hovedkontakten på bagsiden af maskinen.
2 Tag kaffegrumsbeholderen ud.
3 Åbn lågen.
4 Tag Skuffe til kaffegrums (fig. 17) ud.
5 Tryk på PUSH-knappen (fig. 18), og træk i bryggeenhedens håndtag for at tage den ud af maskinen
(fig. 19).
Indsætning af bryggeenhed
Før du skubber bryggeenheden tilbage i maskinen, skal du kontrollere, at den er placeret korrekt.
1 Kontrollér, at pilen på den gule cylinder på siden af bryggeenheden flugter med den sorte pil og N
(fig. 20).

Hvis de ikke flugter, skal du skubbe udløseren ned, indtil den kommer i kontakt med
bryggeenhedens (fig. 21) fod.
2 Sørg for, at den gule låsekrog på den anden side af bryggeenheden sidder korrekt.

3 Skub bryggeenheden tilbage på plads i maskinen langs styrerillerne på siderne, indtil den låses på

4 Sæt skuffen til kaffegrums på plads, og luk lågen. Sæt derefter kaffegrumsbeholderen på plads.

kaffe i lang tid, en stabil kaffegennemstrømning og en perfekt mælkeopskumning.

Rengøring af bryggeenheden
Regelmæssig rengøring af bryggeenheden forhindrer kaffegrums i at tilstoppe de indvendige kredsløb.

Rengøring af bryggeenheden under vandhanen
1 Åbn lågen, og tag bryggeenheden ud.
2 Skyl bryggeenheden grundigt med vand. Rengør omhyggeligt det øverste filter (fig. 27).
3 Lad bryggeenheden lufttørre, før du sætter den i igen. Undlad at tørre bryggeenheden med et
klæde, da der kan samle sig fibre i bryggeenheden.

Brug kun kaffeoliefjernertabletter fra Philips. Tryk på ikonet Clean (Rengør)

Rengøringsprogrammer til den indbyggede mælkeopskummer
Maskinen har tre programmer til rengøring af den indbyggede mælkeopskummer.
Rengøringsprogrammet Auto Steam Shoot udføres automatisk af maskinen efter brygning af en
mælkebaseret drik. Du kan vælge programmet HYGIESTEAM eller DEEP MILK CLEAN ved at trykke på
ikonet Clean og rulle gennem rengøringsmenuen. Følg derefter anvisningerne på skærmen.

Auto Steam Shoot: Maskinen afgiver dampskud gennem den indbyggede mælkeopskummer,
hvilket sikrer hurtig skylning.

HYGIESTEAM: Maskinen rengør omhyggeligt det indbyggede mælkesystem med damp. Sæt
mælkerøret ind i mælkerørholderen, (fig. 28) og følg vejledningen på skærmen.

DEEP MILK CLEAN (GRUNDIG RENGØRING AF MÆLKEKANDE): Udfør proceduren "DEEP MILK
CLEAN" med Philips-rengøringsmiddel til mælkekredsløb for at opnå en omhyggelig rengøring af
det indbyggede mælkesystem.

Rengøring af den indbyggede mælkeopskummer under vandhanen
1 Åbn lågen til den indbyggede mælkeopskummer (fig. 8).
2 Tag den indbyggede mælkeopskummer ud ved at trække den nedad (fig. 29).
3 Adskil den indbyggede mælkeopskummer ud ved at trække den nederste del af den øverste del
(fig. 30).
4 Adskil alle dele (fig. 31), og rengør dem under vandhanen.
5 Saml den indbyggede mælkeopskummer igen.
6 Sæt den indbyggede mælkeopskummer på plads igen ved at sætte den ind i oprejst position.
Kontrollér, at hullerne flugter med de to rør på maskinen. Skub den indbyggede mælkeopskummer
opad, indtil den klikker på plads (fig. 32).
7 Luk lågen.

Afkalkningsprocedure
Brug kun Philips-afkalker. Brug aldrig et afkalkningsmiddel, der er baseret på svovlsyre, saltsyre,
sulfaminsyre eller eddikesyre (f.eks. eddike), da dette kan beskadige maskinens vandkredsløb og ikke
opløser kalken ordentligt. Hvis du ikke bruger Philips-afkalkningsmiddel, bortfalder garantien.
Garantien bortfalder også, hvis apparatet ikke afkalkes. Du kan købe Philips-afkalkningsopløsning i
onlinebutikken på www.saeco.com/care.

1 Når maskinen beder om at blive afkalket, skal du trykke på knappen start/stop for at starte
afkalkning. Du kan starte afkalkning uden først at være blevet adviseret af maskinen ved at trykke
på ikonet Clean
2 Tag drypbakken og beholderen til kaffegrums ud. Tøm dem, inden de sættes på plads igen.
3 Fjern vandtanken og tøm den. Tag derefter AquaClean-filteret ud.
4 Hæld hele flasken med Philips-afkalkningsmiddel i vandbeholderen, og fyld den med vand op til
angivelsen CALC CLEAN (AFKALKNING). Sæt den derefter tilbage i maskinen.
5 Sæt en stor beholder (1,5 l) under kaffeudløbsrøret.
6 Sæt mælkerøret på mælkerørholderen.
7 Følg vejledningen på skærmen for at starte afkalkningsproceduren. Afkalkningsproceduren varer
ca. 30 minutter og består af en afkalkningscyklus og en gennemskylningscyklus.
8 Når afkalkningsprogrammet er afsluttet, skal vandtank og vandkredsløb skylles ud. Følg
anvisningerne på skærmen.
9 Sæt et nyt AquaClean-filter i vandtanken.
Tip: Når AquaClean-filteret bruges, reduceres behovet for afkalkning!
og vælge "Descale".
Hvad gør man, hvis afkalkningsproceduren afbrydes
Du kan afslutte afkalkningsprocessen ved at trykke på ON/OFF-knappen på kontrolpanelet. Gør
følgende, hvis afkalkningsproceduren afbrydes, inden den er helt afsluttet:
1 Tøm vandtanken, og skyl den omhyggeligt.
2 Fyld vandtanken op med rent vand til niveaumarkeringen CALC CLEAN, og tænd maskinen igen.
Maskinen varmer op og udfører en automatisk gennemskylningsproces.
3 Før du brygger kaffe, skal du udføre et manuelt gennemskylningsprogram. For at udøre en manuel
gennemskylningscyklus skal du først dispensere en halv vandtank med varmt vand, og bryg
derefter 2 kopper formalet kaffe uden at tilsætte kaffe.
Bemærk: Hvis afkalkningsprocessen ikke er blevet gennemført, skal maskinen igennem endnu en
afkalkningsproces så snart som muligt.
