Installing the Panel Mount Kit
ATTENTION:The drive is at line voltage when connected to incoming AC power. Disconnect,
tag, and lockout all incoming power to the drive before performing the following procedure. Failure

Important: This procedure assumes that the drive has not been mounted or wired, and that incoming power is
Connecting Bus Bar Jumpers and Pressure Lugs to Input Power Terminals
Step 1. Attach the bus bar jumpers (item 1) between the input power terminals. Refer to figure 1 to confirm the

of, the equipment.
not connected to the drive. Kit installation consists of:
1) connecting bus bar jumpers to input power terminals R1 and R2, S1 and S2, and T1 and T2,
and installing a pressure lug and insulation to each pair of input terminals;
2) installing a pressure lug and insulation to each output power terminal;
3) Installing the coolant input and output hoses.

through 4.
proper placement of the pressure lugs (item 2).
a. Attach a bus bar jumper (item 1) behind and between terminals R1 and R2, locating a pressure
lug (item 2) on T1 in front of the bus bar. Place a 1/4-20 hex head screw and a 5/16” flat washer
(items 5 and 3) through the assembly and fasten with a 5/16” flat washer and a 1/4-20 hex nut/
conical washer (items 3 and 4). Use the same fastener combination to fasten the bus bar jumper
to R2.
b. Repeat step 1a to attach bus bar jumpers and pressure lugs to terminals S1/S2 and T1/T2.
Important: Note that for T1/T2, the pressure lug must be installed on terminal T2.
Step 2. Torque the six hex head screws (item 5) to between 80 to 90 in-lb (9.2 to 10.4 N-m).
Important: Step 3 below should be performed after the drive is mounted and at the time the input leads are
being connected to the input power terminals.
Step 3. Install the insulation (item 8) over each of the three input power leads (see figure 1). After tightening
the pressure lugs, fasten the insulation in place using two cable ties per lead (item 9).
Connecting Pressure Lugs to the Output Power Terminals
Step 1. Attach a pressure lug (item 2) to each output power terminal (terminals U, V, and W) using the
supplied fasteners. Place a 5/16-18 hex head screw and a 5/16” flat washer (items 6 and 3) through
the lug and the hole in the power output terminal and fasten with a 5/16” flat washer and 5/16-18 hex
nut/conical washer (items 3 and 7).
Step 2. Torque the three hex head screws (item 7) to between 180 to 210 in-lb (20.8 to 24.2 N-m).
Important: Step 3 below should be performed after the drive is mounted and at the time the output leads are
being connected to the output power terminals.

Step 3. Install the insulation (item 8) over each of the three output power leads (see figure 1). After tightening
the pressure lugs, fasten the insulation in place using two cable ties per lead (item 9).
Installing the Coolant Input and Output Hoses
Coolant input and output hoses can be routed either through the back of the cabinet or through the side of the
cabinet. Procedures for both methods follow.
To route the coolant hoses through the back of the cabinet:
Step 1. Drill the two 3.00” diameter access holes for the coolant hoses and the four .223/.219” diameter tube
support bracket mounting holes in the back of the cabinet. Refer to figures 1 and 2 for locations and
dimensions.
Step 2. Solder the input hose assembly (item 10) and output hose assembly (item 11) in their respective
locations as shown in figures 1 and 2. When soldering, follow the instructions in note 2 in figure 1.
Step 3. Mount the drive in the cabinet, ensuring that the coolant hoses are routed through the back of the
cabinet.
Step 4. Install the tube support brackets (item 12) as shown in figure 2, and fasten to the ends of the coolant
hoses using four #10 spacers and four #10-32 flat head screws (items 13 and 14). Torque to between
30 to 34 in-lb (3.5 to 3.9 Nm).
Step 5. Fasten the tube support brackets to the back of the cabinet using four 1/4-20 self-tapping screws
(item 15). Tighten until no space exists between the screw head and the bracket.
To route the coolant hoses through the side of the cabinet:
Step 1. Drill the two 2.00” diameter access holes for the coolant hoses and the eight .223/.219” diameter tube
support bracket mounting holes in the side of the cabinet. Refer to figures 3 and 4for locations and
dimensions.
Step 2. Solder the two side mount tube assemblies (item 16) in their respective locations as shown in figure 3.
When soldering, follow the instructions in note 2 in figure 1.
Step 3. Mount the drive in the cabinet, ensuring that the coolant hoses are routed through the side of the
cabinet.
Step 4. Install the tube support brackets (item 17) as shown in figure 4, and fasten to the back of the cabinet
using eight 1/4-20 self-tapping screws (item 15). Tighten until no space exists between the screw
head and the bracket.
Important: A wrench must be applied to the wrench flats of item 16 prior to the assembly of 3/4 NPT male
fittings.
This completes the installation of the LiquiFlo panel mount kit.
