CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
AFTER EACH USE: Brush the accumulated hair from the cutters.
DO NOT SUBMERGE THE HAIR CLIPPER IN WATER.
• Hold the clipper so that you are looking at its back (rubber housing), locate the blade release tab indentation at the base of the blade and push it inwards (towards the cutting blades) with your thumb. The blades will pop out allowing them to be easily cleaned under the tap with running warm water. When rinsing the blades it is necessary to lubricate them once dry with 1-3 drops spread over the blades with your finger with a light grade oil such as the one supplied. Wipe off excess oil.
• Once the blades are cleaned, lock them back into place by aligning them with the clipper cavity and pushing the blade set towards the clipper body. You will hear a “click” when blades are locked into place.
NOTE: Ensure that the hair clipper is turned off and unplugged from the power outlet when cleaning.
CLEANING CAUTIONS: Do not use liquid cleaners on the cutters or harsh or corrosive chemicals on the cutter casing.
STORAGE: Always store this appliance and cord in a moisture-free area. Do not wrap the cord around the appliance. Do not store in temperatures above 60 ºC.
GETTING STARTED
• Make sure your clipper is operating correctly. Inspect the hair clipper making sure that it is free from hair and dirt.
• Place a cape around the neck of the person whose hair is being trimmed or cut.
• Seat the person so that their head is approximately at your eye level.
• Before cutting, always comb the hair so it is tangle free and dry.
• Hold the hair clipper in the palm of one hand and with your thumb resting firmly on the top of the hair clipper. This grip provides comfortable cutting control.
ATTACHING / REMOVING AND REPLACING THE BLADES
• To remove, press the release button located on the blade and pull upwards and away from the hair clipper.
• To attach, snap the desired blade in place until it clicks.

TIPS FOR A BARBER’S BEST HAIR CUT
TIPS FOR BEST RESULTS
• For even cutting, allow the guide comb/blade to cut its way through the hair. Do not force it through quickly. If you are cutting for the first time, star t with the maximum guide comb, until you know how short you would like your hair to be.
• The comb guide lengths described for use in the steps below are an example only, if you want a longer or shorter hair cut you will need to adjust the comb guide lengths to suit your requirements.
STEP 1 - NAPE OF THE NECK
1. Use 3mm or 6mm guide comb.
2. Hold the hair clipper with the blade teeth pointing upwards. Begin starting at the centre of the head at the base of the neck.
3. Slowly lift the hair clipper, working upwards and outwards through the hair, trimming just a little at a time.
STEP 2 - BACK AND SIDE OF THE HEAD
1. With the 9mm or 12mm guide comb, cut the hair at the back of the head.
STEP 3 - SIDE OF THE HE AD
2. With the 9mm or 12mm guide comb, trim sideburns.
3. Then change to the longer 22mm guide comb and continue to cut to the top of the head.
STEP 4 - TOP OF THE HEAD
1. Using the 25mm guide comb, cut the hair on top of the head against the direction in which the hair normally grows.
2. For longer hair on top, use scissors. Lift the hair on top of the head with your fingers. Cut the hair between your fingers to the desired length.
3. Always work from the back of the head.
STEP 5 - THE FINISHING TOUCHES
1. Use the hair clipper without an attachment comb for close trimming around the base and sides of the neck.
2. To produce a clean straight line at the sideburns, reverse the clipper. Place the reversed hair clipper at right angles to the head, tips of the blades lightly touching the skin and then work downwards.
FOR A CLOSE SHAVE LOOK ON THE HEAD
NOTE: The Head Trim-Shave blade only works on shorter length hair.
1. First, use the hair clipper blade without a comb attached to it and trim your hair making sure all hair is trimmed back.
2. Remove the hair clipper blade and then replace with the Head Trim-Shave blade.
7
3. Again, work the Head Trim-Shave blade all over the head, with angled and even strokes against the direction of hair growth.
4. As this blade captures the shortest of hairs, you may be required to tap the tip of the blade throughout the shaving process to remove the small hairs that are captured in the blade.
5. The Head Trim-Shave blade may be used directly if you are maintaining the shaved look, it is not necessary to use the hair clipper blade unless your hair is long,
NOTE: failure to first trim back long hair with the hair clipper blade may result in a pulling sensation or missed hairs resulting in an undesirable result. Always use the Head Trim-Shave blade with very short hair. The guard on the Head Trim-Shave blade cutters is designed to gently stretch the skin while it is in use. The guard is not removable. Should the guard become clogged with hairs during use simply tap it out or rinse it under running water
