Digital Studio Picture Control keeps checking the quality of your videotapes and reproduces the best possible picture performance.Philips’Digital Studio Picture Control optimises the record and the playback quality.It measures the characteristics of the tape, adapts the record characteristics/resolution and reduces the picture noise.

• SMART Picture

With this unique feature,you can adapt the picture to your own preference:you can enhance the contours on a cartoon or suppress the noise from a rental tape.We offer you the possibility to play your tapes the way you like to see them.

• T urbo Timer

Is Timer Programming complicated? No! Is Timer Programming time consuming? No! Just push the Turbo Timer button on the remote control and follow the Mini Guide on the rear side of your Remote Control.The display of your VCR asks you for the start and end time as well as the channel number.That’s it.Just a number of seconds.

• G-Code

G-Code provides an easy way to programme your VCR. Just enter the G-Code number from your magazine and the programming is done.

• ShowGuard

From now on you never have to programme your timer or channel presets again after you VCR has been disconnected from the power supply for a long time.Due to ShowGuard the timer programmes and channel presets are stored in a memory forever.You can change the timer programmes and channel presets but you can never loose them.

• Record Link

You want to record a channel from your satellite receiver or any other external device when you’re not at home,or while you watch another channel at the same time? And you want to set your receiver to switch on at a speciﬁc time? Just activate the ‘RECORD LINK’,put the VCR in standby and programme the desired timer on your satellite receiver - when the satellite receiver switches on,the VCR will start the recording automatically.

• Multi System with NTSC Record & Playback

The VCR can record and playback in different systems.This allows you to watch the tapes from and to make copies for your family abroad.It records and plays back the NTSC and PAL standard.

• Multibrand Remote Control

Your Remote Control can control not only your VCR but also your TV and your SAT/DBS box.You can select from a large variety of supported brands.

• Turbo Drive

Turbo Drive is not only a synonym for winding and rewinding at very high speed.It also stands for other high performance Deck features.The built-in Head Cleaner removes dirt from the video heads each time you put in a cassette.The new Dirty Head Warning feature will display a message on the TV screen whenever it is recommended to use a cleaning tape to overcome severe dirt coating.In addition there’s a Tape Position Indicator, which shows on your TV screen the progress of winding and rewinding of the tape in real time.
