This guide is intended to make operation of the RT3 GPS audio/ telephone easy. It introduces the basic functions of the telephone, the GPS navigation-guidance and the spoken commands.
For radio operation, and for more detailed information about all of the functions offered by your GPS audio/telephone, refer to your vehicle's handbook.

Press the "MENU" button to access the main menu and select one of the following applications:

This CD enables you to change certain parameters (male / female voice, language). To do this: "Configuration" menu and select the element to be changed.
Observe the instructions written on the CD sleeve.

- When entering the PIN code, you can choose to store it by confirming the "Store PIN" option.
You will no longer be asked to enter the PIN, if you leave the SIM card in the holder.
- To copy the SIM card directory to the RT3 directory and vice versa:
- go to the "Directory" menu
- select "Directory files management"
- then "Exchange with the SIM card"
- finally, select the directory file(s) to be exchanged and the direction of the exchange.

To divert a call from the RT3 to another telephone number:
- go to the "Telematics" menu
- select "Telephone functions"
- then "Telephone options", "Voice call diversion N°"
- enter the telephone number
- confirm by pressing "OK" to activate the call diversion To deactivate or reactivate the call diversion subsequently, press the "Hang up" button for more than 2 seconds.

Pressing for more than 2 seconds enables you to listen to the last updated spoken guidance message again.

This contains the map data. You can obtain updates of the map data from your PEUGEOT dealer. Insert the navigation CD-ROM in the drive on the front panel and leave it there to use the Navigation-Guidance functions.

If you wish to store the address, do this before activating guidance.
If you do not, press "OK", guidance is now activated.
- If there is any doubt about the name of the destination (there are x towns, streets, n°), select "List" and confirm the destination chosen from the possibilities displayed.
- To be guided to the town centre, simply enter the "Town" parameter only.
- To enter the street, it is not necessary to specify the type of street (avenue, road, boulevard...); for example, for "avenue de la Grande Armée", simply enter "grande armée" and select "avenue de la Grande Armée" from the list.

Storing
a new address
The file "Harry" residing in "London" is now created in the directory. Press "OK" to activate guidance.
HANDY HINT: enter using the alphanumeric keypad
You can use the alphanumeric keypad to enter an address or a name.
For example, to enter "PARIS", press the following buttons and select each letter one by one: "7" (once), "2" (once), "7" (three times), "4" (three times), "7" (four times).

VOICE RECOGNITION
From a pre-recorded list, you can control certain functions of your GPS audio/telephone vocally. The words must be spoken one by one, pausing between each to wait for the audible confirmation signal and displaying of the word recognised.

You can also have a stored text message read vocally, by selecting "Text messages" from the "Telematics" menu
You can also use the spoken commands: "SMS" or "Message", then "Read" or "Display".
When a new text message arrives, you can ask for it to be read by voice synthesis, if this is active, by confirming "YES" on the following screen:

THE COLOUR SCREEN: MAP
SPECIAL EQUIPMENT
Located next to the gear lever, this permits selection and confirmation of the functions, commands and parameters displayed.
The colour screen permits displaying of the vehicle on a geographical map background. When guidance on a map is activated, you can follow your vehicle on the fol­lowing screen:

You can also direct the map in relation to North or the vehicle, by pressing the dial on the right and selecting "Map direction".
To enlarge or reduce the map, turn the dial on the right. You can also use the spoken commands: "Zoom in" / "Zoom out". There are thirteen zoom levels from 50 m/cm to 200 km/cm.

The colour screen: map
The "Movement on map" display permits the selection of any location on the map in order to:
- display the information about this location,
- be guided to this location,
- store this location in a directory file.
In all cases, you will obtain:
- either the postal address, if it is available,
- or the service if it is one,
- or if this is not available, the GPS co-ordinates.

To move the cursor,to select any location in this mode, use the four direction arrows.
To display the full screen map, press the dial on the right and select "Full screen". Note: if you have activated displaying of the TMC RDS traffic information messages, these will be represented in the form of symbols.

You can move on the map to see other areas using the following screen:
From the "Vehicle following on map" display, press the dial on the right and select "Move the map".
To return to the "Vehicle following on map" display, press the dial on the right and select "Exit map mode".
Note: these commands can also be accessed from the 807 additional control.

TMC RDS

You can display the TMC RDS traffic information messages irrespective of whether your screen is monochrome or colour. From the main "Telematics" menu, select "TMC RDS Traffic Information" and confirm using the dial on the right. On the "Traffic Information" menu, select "Consult messages" and confirm using the dial on the right.
The list of available traffic information messages is displayed. You can also use the spoken commands: "Traffic info", then "Read" or "Display".
On the "Traffic Information" menu, select "Filter the TMC info" to display a category of information.
Using the dial on the right, select the message which is of interest to you to obtain the details relating to it. The message is read by the voice synthesiser automatically, if it is active.
