(GB) WARNING : Dry-tooling puts high stress on ice tools.
ATTENTION, certain jamming techniques are of particular concern: slotting the pick
horizontally and/or any torque applied to the pick, levering the shaft, or jamming the
entire head of the ice tool (e.g. in a crack). These types of usage shorten the lifetime
of the tool and can result in failure of the ice tool while in use.After dry-tooling, you
must carefully inspect your tools. Pay particular attention to the picks, the joint
between the head and the shaft, and that of the shaft and handle. Picks used for
dry-tooling must be changed out more frequently.
(FR) Avertissement : la pratique du DryTooling sollicite fortement
les piolets
ATTENTION, certains coincements sont particulièrement contraignants : verrouillage
horizontal ou en torsion de la lame, travail du manche en flexion, coincement de
toute la tête du piolet. Cescoincements accélèrent le veillissement du piolet et
peuvent provoquer une rupture immédiate du piolet pendant l’utilisation.Après une
scéance de DryTooling, vous devez vérifier attentivement vos piolets. Vérifiez en
particulier vos lames, les jonctions tête/manche et manche/poignée. Les lames
utilisées en DryTooling devront être changées plus fréquemment.

ACHTUNG: Das Abklemmen der Haue in einem horizontalen Spalt sowie alle anderen
Techniken, bei denen Verdrehkraft auf die Haue einwirkt, das Ausüben von
Hebelwirkung auf den Schaft oder das Verklemmen des gesamten Gerätekopfes
(z.B.in einem Riss) sind Techniken, die besondere Umsicht erfordern. Diese
Techniken verkürzen die Lebensdauer eines Eisgeräts und können während des
Gebrauchs zu einem Versagen des Geräts/der Haue führen.Nach dem Drytooling
müssen die Geräte sorgfältig überprüft werden. Achten Sie besonders auf die Hauen,
die Verbindung zwischen Kopf und Schaft und die Verbindung zwischen Schaft und
Griff. Die zum Drytooling verwendeten Hauen müssen häufiger ausgetauscht
werden.
