General safety
instructions for
pneumatic tools
Note: the term "pneumatic device"
or "device" used in the following
text refers to the pneumatic device
that is the subject of these instructions
for use.
Basic safety
measures must be followed when
using compressed air devices, to
eliminate the risk of fire, electric
shock and personal injury. Be sure
to read and follow the notices within
these operating instructions prior to
using the equipment and store them
in a safe location. The manufacturer
assumes no liability for damages or
personal injury resulting from failure
to follow these operating instructions.
This device may be used by
children aged 8 years and up, as
well as by persons with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capacities, or lacking experience
and / or knowledge, so long as
they are supervised or instructed
in the safe use of the device and
understand the associated risks.
Do not allow children to play
with the product. Cleaning and
user maintenance must not be
performed by children without
supervision.
Prevent children from playing
with the device.
RISK OF INJURY! Before
performing maintenance tasks,
disconnect the compressed air
supply.
Only use the device in areas of
application for which it was
designed!
Do not overload the device.
Never use hydrogen,
oxygen, carbon dioxide
or another bottled gas as an en-
ergy source for this product, as
this can lead to an explosion
and therefore also to serious injuries.
Maintain and clean the device
regularly as prescribed (see
section "Cleaning and care").
DANGER OF EXPLOSION!
Never use petrol or another
flammable liquid to clean the
pneumatic device! Sparks could
ignite residual vapours inside the
compressed air unit resulting in
the compressed air unit exploding. Do not work with the device
in potentially explosive environments, which contain flammable
liquids, gases or dusts. Never
work on materials which are or
could potentially be highly flammable or explosive.
Check the device for damage
before startup. Always make
sure that the device is in perfect
condition before each use.
Always be attentive! Unexpected
movement of the device may
cause hazards.
Avoid placing your body in an
unnatural position. Keep proper
footing and balance at all times.
By doing this you will be in a
better position to control the compressed air unit in unforeseen
circumstances.
supply cable. All maintenance
units, couplings and hoses must
be designed in accordance with
the device's values with regard
to pressure and air quantity.
Pressure that is too low impairs
the functioning of the device;
pressure that is too high can
cause damage to property and
personal injury.
Protect hoses from kinks, con-
strictions, solvents and sharp
edges. Keep hoses away from
heat, oil and rotating parts.
Ensure that the hose clips are al-
ways firmly attached. If the hose
clamps are not tightly fastened
or are damaged, the air could
escape uncontrollably.
Replace damaged hoses imme-
diately. A damaged supply line
may result in the air hose whipping about and may result in
injuries.
If the power cable of the appli-
ance is damaged, it must be
replaced by the manufacturer
or their service department or a
similarly qualified person, in
order to avoid hazards.
