Finding the Controls
The control panel of the unit is divided into three equal parts: left, middle and right.
Left part:
This part contains the telephone keypad laid out in the conventional arrang ement with a “nib” on the 5 button. Below the keypad are four round buttons: From left to right, REDIAL, HANDSET MUTE, FLASH and MONITOR. The REDIAL button is also the PAUSE button.
Middle part:
At the top middle part of the panel is the display. To the right of the display is the CALLER ID button. Immediately below the display are station keys for one-touch dial. The station keys are placed at the top and bottom of the ONE-TOUCH label in two horizontal rows, each row has six buttons. Below and on the center of the station keys is the NAVIGATOR key, a large round key consisting of UP and DOWN TRIANGLES on the vertical row which is also the VOLUME control, and RIGHT and LEFT TRIANGLES on the horizontal row. The RIGHT TRIANGLE is also used as the DIRECTORY button. To the left of the NAVIGATOR key are two buttons: From left to righ t, QUICK SCAN and RESOLUTION. To the right of the NAVIGATOR key are two buttons: From left to right, CONTRAST and ENHANCED COPY. Below the NAVIGATOR key is the MENU button.
Right part:
At the top is the AUTO ANSWER button. Below this button are three round buttons: From left to right, FAX, COPY and SCAN. Below these buttons is the STOP button. The STOP button is marked with an indented triangle and a raised bar. Immediately below the STOP button is the START button. The START button is marked with an indented diamond and a “nib”. To the left of the START and STOP buttons is the SET button.
