Network Attached Storage

DC900X “Jayhawk” is a Network Attached Storage (NAS) device with integrated MoCA® 1.1
interface. It provides server capabilities to permit Home Content Sharing™ (HCS) with other
Pace products such as DC700X “Apache” and RNG150N “Denali” through means of an
external MoCA dongle for “Apache” and an integrated MoCA interface for “Denali”.

DC900X “Jayhawk” contains no video tuner or A/V output capability itself, relying on other Pace
products within the home to receive, demodulate and decrypt video services. It provides the secure
hard-disk storage capability to otherwise diskless clients, permitting cost-effective DVR services to
be provided without having disks embedded within each device of the home.

As a corollary, DC900X “Jayhawk” permits enhanced DVR user experience within the home, such
as PlaceShiftTV.
