Olympus’ R&D Department has over 30 years experience in ancillary

product design and has now developed a completely new series of

workstations, which are not only aesthetically pleasing, but above all,

practical and efficient in the variety of environments where videoendoscopy

is used.

The WM-P1 series accommodates the widest range of video endoscopy and ancillary
equipment to meet both current and future needs of an endoscopy department.

The top shelf has been designed to allow mounting of additional electro-medical
equipment when space is at a premium.

The all new articulating LCD monitor arm allows the operator to optimize the viewing
position for the procedure, improving comfort and reducing strain.

Drawer Packs

A completely new accessory - the drawer packs can be fitted as a single or multiple
drawer assembly, facilitating safe storage of endotherapy or other devices, providing
a practical addition to the workstation.

The design of the workstation ensures easy access to the side of the light source for
changing the lamp.

Keyboard operation

Keyboard tray

Now with two options; a rotating and extending keyboard tray or a conventional
‘pullout’ style each provide convenient positioning to operate the functions of the
videoendoscopy system, either from the front or side of the workstation.

Maneuverability

The conveniently placed pushing handles and the hand grips on the side extrusions
make transportation between rooms easier.

A double water-bottle holder can be mounted at the side of the workstation.

White-balance cup holder

The pushing handles incorporate a white-balance cup holder, conveniently positioned
for ease of use.

reductions in size mean comparable benefits can be achieved in the

workstation itself.

The WM-NP1, WM-WP1 and WM-DP1 set new standards in endoscopy

workstation design, accommodating Olympus endoscopy systems

in both medical and surgical environments, with the larger WM-WP1 and

WM-DP1 providing greater storage area.

The WM-P1 series for the first time provides Olympus users with a truly

modular system. Selection of the size of workstation required, the

appropriate monitor mount, keyboard type, and other accessory items,

allows the workstation to be tailored to meet specific user requirements in

the intended application.

An Olympus separation transformer is standard to the WM-P1 series to provide the
required level of medical/electrical system safety in use.

Cable management

Cable management

The use of cable ties at the rear of the shelves ensures neat and safe storage of cables.
In addition, cable restraints at each side of the workstation allow power and
communication cables to be separated.

Simultaneous power-up

Equipment on/off switch

The output from the separation transformer is controlled using a central on/off switch,
allowing all equipment on the workstation to be ‘powered up’ simultaneously.

Double scope hanger

Double scope hanger

The scope hanger is designed to hold two endoscopes and will accommodate all
Olympus models. The ‘scope holder’ section can be individually positioned for ease of
use, and is easily removable for routine cleaning.

Umbilical cord holders

Umbilical cord holders

The umbilical cord holders will safely accommodate the umbilical connector of the
endoscope when not in use, and can easily be removed for routine cleaning.
