FUNCTIONS
4.
Paper Back Support.
Paper support can be raised to hold sheet upright in full
view while typing.

Paper Release Lever.
If when introducing the paper, it is tilted, by pushing this
lever back the paper may be straightened. To continue
typing
it is necessary to put the lever back in its original
position.
6.
Carriage Release.
Pull the lever forward to allow the carriage to run freely.

Platen Knobs.
By
turning these knobs, paper may be introduced or

Line Spacing Lever.
By using this lever the carriage moves to the right at the
same time that the paper moves forward one line.

Variable Line Spacing Selector.
It has 3 line spacing positions:

In the O position
it stays blocked.

Margin Fixing Knob.
When pressed, the margin knob stop can be moved to the
left or right to set the desired typing width. Five spaces
before the stop is reached a
bel1 will make a warning sound.

Carriage
Lock
Lever.-
Move carriage to the right, pres:
the lever and then take carriage al1 the way to the right until

it locks. The lever cannot be pressed when the shift lock is
down.

Spool Cover.
To remove the cover that protects the ribbon spool, simply
lift it by the back edge and lift it.

Ribbon selector
Put the selector in the desired color (black or red).

Back Space.

Pressing this key moves the carriage back one space.

Tab Key.
The tabulator key has 7 default positions.

Space Bar with Automatic Repetition.
By pressing the AUTOMATIC key, the carriage will move
more quickly to the desired position.

Space Bar.
The carriage moves one space every time the space bar is
pressed.

Shift Lock.
To type capital letters or symbols, simply press the desired
capital letter
of
the keys of shift. The shift key can be locked
by pressing shift
lock.To return to lower case letters press
aciain anv of the shift kevs.
15.
~argin Release.

Pressing this key allows for typing past the set margins,
either
to the left or right side.
RIBBON REPLACEMENT
Step
1
Lift the spool cover.
Step
2
Lift both ribbon spools upwards, be careful not to pull them.
Step

Rernove the ribbon towards the top of the "ribbon guide".
Step

Remove old ribbon from only one spool, keeping the other. the
same used for the new tape.
Step
5
Place the new ribbon in the rnachine by putting the full spool
onto the left post with the black section of the ribbon on top.
Step

Place the ribbon in the "ribbon guide

in such a way that the
eyebolts of the ribbon
remain between its corresponding
"ribbon guide" and spool.
Step

Put the spool cover back in place on the typewriter.
