- Incorrect memory size display.
- Inability to insta ll the driv ers for Autocad Rev. 1.00.
- The new BIOS vers io n allo ws the ma nage me nt of the 56 Hz and interlac ed 87 Hz video frequencies.
This version correct s the following prob lems :
- In version 1.05 , the True Color s modes could hav e been set even if only 512 KB of video memory was installed, thus causing malfunc tion s. 1 MB of video RAM is required for True Color s operat ion.
- INT 10h - func. 12h - subfunc . 80h (inqu ire Cirr us VGA Cont ro ller Type) is a
non-standar d video BIOS f unct ion that has been int egr ated t o make t he Cirr us
video drivers for AutoCAD work. In BIOS ve rsion 1.0 5, this func tion only
recognized the Cirr us GD5 4 28 video driver as GD5426
since the video drivers were not yet develop ed to work with the GD542 8. Version 1.02 of these video dr iver s also recogn ized the G D542 8 video controller and there fore the I nqu ire Cirr us VGA Cont ro ller Type fun ctio n was re-enabled in BIOS ver sion 1.06 ( which nev er went out of produc tion ). As a result of these problems, the compatibility between the BI OS and video drivers for AutoCAD is the following:
