RENDEZVOUS
Users of Macintosh computers running Mac OS 9 or
earlier, connected with an Ethernet hub, are able to
see all the available printers, file servers, and other
services available on the network, instantly.

Rendezvous extends this capability to Mac OS-X 10.2
and above. The following procedures assume
Mac OS-X 10.2.
Why Rendezvous?
More and more, people that do not fit the traditional role of the
network administrator, nor have their experience, have a need to set
up networks.
How Rendezvous works with this printer
Although Rendezvous is promoted as zero-configuration, this is not
quite the case. You will still have to do the following:
Run the installer program provided by us to install printer

software to your hard disk.
If this is not done, Rendezvous will automatically select a
Generic PostScript Printer Description (PPD) file that will not be
appropriate for your printer.
If you have installed any additional hardware options, these

must be manually configured. Rendezvous will not do this
automatically.
Setting up the printer
There are 2 methods of setting up this printer with Rendezvous under
OS-X.
