•The faulty component is removed in the rework station
•The old solder on the pads is removed with the solderwick
•The new component is installed in the jig
•The stencil and the component are installed in the jig . The alignment is
done with jig’s centering pins.
•Add paste (the same type as used in the product) on the stencil near the
openings. Use sufficient amount of paste.
•Print over the stencil with squeegee twice (the squeegee can be the
same type as MPM’s squeegee). Printing is done manually.
• The stencil rises from the jig and the component rises with the stencil.
•Now the component can be moved carefully on the vacuum nozzle of
the rework station with the tweezers.
•The component is aligned with the prism to the right position of PWB
pads and is set on the near PWB’s surface. The component is soldered
in the rework station like CSP components.
•The rework station’s component specific vacuum nozzle size and program are defined in the table.
