Installing the Digital Entertainer Express with Custom Setup

Before you begin, determine which type of audio and video cables you need. This depends on your television and audio equipment.
Video display. The picture display quality is related to the video format you use. If your television supports multiple formats, choose the format that provides the best picture quality. HDMI offers the best picture quality video. Component video provides the next best quality, followed by SCART, S-Video, and composite video. If you are viewing high-definition video, it will play with whichever video cable you connect, but the video quality will be best with HDMI.
You can install the Digital Entertainer Express with the composite video cable in the package and change later to a different cable if your television supports it. See “Changing from
Composite Video Cable to HDMI Video Cable” on page 6-3.
DTS sound or digital audio/visual (a/v) receiver. If you have a digital receiver or you want DTS sound, use either a coaxial or optical S/PDIF audio cable (sold separately). You will also need a video cable. You can use the composite video cable included in the Digital Entertainer Express package, or you can use component video cable (sold separately) or HDMI cable (sold separately).
