This 802.11n wireless gateway/router adds considerable power and flexibility to your network.
Seven products in one, it combines an ADSL2+ modem, router, four 10/100 LAN RJ45
ports, 802.11n access point, SPI double firewall, USB2.0 Host, DECT Radio and VoIP. It gives
you untethered continuous connectivity to your network resources, the Internet, Voice and
IPTV. Featuring real time QoS and 802.11n wireless, it allows you to download large files,
videoconference, and distribute and play high-definition digital movies, photos, and MP3s in
the blink of an eye. Simple to use, it plugs directly into your ADSL2+ line. The integrated voice
features let you use it with DECT and analog telephones. Setup couldn’t be easier—NETGEAR’s
Smart Wizard install assistant and on-screen help guide you through each step. The Smart
Wizard automatically detects and makes the best connection to your ISP. The double firewall
protects your network against intruders, including logs and alerts of break-in attempts,
while VPN pass-through makes it safe to connect to your business network from home. The
contemporary design of this Gateway suits your home or office.

Faster than Ever

The DVG834N gives you instant connectivity with or without wires, and works with your existing

802.11n/g devices. A built-in ADSL2+ modem provides direct, always-on Internet connectivity
and multi-user access sharing at downstream speeds of up to 24 Mbps with up to 3.5 Mbps
upstream speeds. This powerful router distributes real time MP3s, digital movies and VoIP in
addition to data traffic including Web browsing, Network Storage access, graphics and photos
and shares a single IP address with up to 253 users.

Attached Storage

No need for a separate modem—this connects directly into your ADSL2+ line. Built-in port
forwarding settings, Universal Plug and Play (UPnP™) and virtual private network (VPN)
pass-through make it simple to play Internet games, stream or download video, make phone
calls and host Internet services. It supports PCs, Apple Computers, and virtually all Ethernet
devices. It comes with an Ethernet cable for connecting your first computer.

Double firewall using Stateful Packet Inspection (SPI) and intrusion control features Denial
of Service protection from hacker attacks, while VPN (Virtual Private Network) pass-through
permits secure access to your office or corporate network and enables you to host VPN services.
It also logs browsing activities and provides optional email alerts so you can monitor access.
DMZ support allows unrestricted access from the Internet to one computer (for hosting
web services).

Models with the USB 2.0 Host include the SAMBA Storage management agent, which enables
attached computers to have “Mapped Drive” access to the USB-attached storage. This delivers
extremely low cost Network Storage and Backup for consumers.
