SACD/cd PLAYER

The new McIntosh MCD301 SACD/CD Player delivers breathtaking fidelity from both
standard compact discs and SACD’s, “raising the bar” for both technical and sonic
performance. Topping the list of features is a new, super-quiet SACD/CD drive mechanism
that is completely enclosed in a die-cast, wrap-around chassis for resonance free operation.
A die-cast aluminum disc tray lends a special touch of quality that you’ll appreciate every
time you load a disc.

A McIntosh premium linear power supply features an R-Core transformer and nested
regulation to provide the voltage stability and freedom from noise that are necessary for
the very best audio performance. 24-bit, 192kHz sampling PCM/DSD Dual-Mode Digital-to­Analog converters with balanced outputs feed a balanced analog output stage resulting in
wide dynamic range and extremely low distortion.

Rotary controls for track selection and volume lend an old-school analog feel to the
operation of this digital product. Both fixed and variable outputs are supported and a low
impedance headphone amplifier with ¼” jack is provided.

The MCD301 is a two-channel SACD/CD
player. SACD, hybrid SACD, CD, CD-R,
CD-RW discs can be played on the MCD301.

LOW DISTORTION 24-BIT
DUAL-MODE D/A CONvERTER

The MCD301 utilizes the 24-bit, 192-KHz
Sampling PCM/DSD Dual-Mode D/A
converter with a wide dynamic range
and extremely low distortion. Music at
all levels is reproduced with extreme
precision and elegance. The sound is
truly exceptional.

vARIABLE BALANCED AND
UNBALANCED AUDIO OUTPUTS

Balanced for long cable runs in a noisy
environment and unbalanced for short
runs. Balanced offers optimum noise
rejection. The maximum output level is
6Vrms which allows the direct drive of
power amplifiers.

OPTICAL AND COAxIAL
DIGITAL OUTPUTS
