Remote Control For Two Areas
The Model C38 System Control
Center has built-in capability to con-
trol two separate areas. The Listen cir-
cuit corresponds to the main area A,
and the Record circuit remote area B.
Interfaces With The CR 10 Remote
Control System
The C38 includes a connector to
allow it to interface with the CR10
Remote Control System. The C38
becomes the main area, and the CR10
allows four additional remote areas to
be added.

New Features
Balanced output jacks are now includ-
ed. Nine Serial Data Ports allow
transfer of data to compatible ac-
cessory equipment as well as the
HC-1 Home Controller. Two CD con-
trol connectors are provided for two
CD players or a player and a CD
changer. A Tuner Control connector is
also provided. Separate switched AC
outlets are provided for area A and
area B power amplifiers.

The most popular Mcintosh features
include an Active Variable Loudness
Control, dual signal processor loops,
area muting and switched outputs for
additional power amplifiers.
Use With The Optional HC-1
Home Controller
The optional Mcintosh Model HC1
Home Controller can be added to
allow control of other devices in the
home such as lights or motors. For ex-
ample, you could raise or lower a
motorized TV screen.
Remote Accessories
An optional Model WK-1, wall
mounted keypad can be used in each
area. Up to four IR sensors or
keypads can be wired on each remote
circuit.
Expandable AudiolVideo Switching
Five additional AudiolVideo inputs can
be added and controlled by use of
the optional Model MVS-3
AudiolVideo Switcher.
All Glass Front Panel
The "Classic Mcintosh" all glass front
panel has all nomenclature illumi-
nated, including the pushbuttons.
