ANWENDUNGSMÖGLICHKEITEN
Die Leica Trinovid Ferngläser besitzen ein
spritzwasserdichtes Aluminium-Gehäuse. Sie
sollten daher vor starkem Regen und Nässe zum
Beispiel in der im Lieferumfang enthaltenen
Bereitschaftstasche geschützt werden. Sollte die
innenliegende Optik doch einmal beschlagen, so
kann Feuchtigkeit durch Lagerung des Fernglases in trockenen Räumen und in der Nähe von
Wärmequellen aus dem Fernglas entweichen.
Von der Trocknung des Fernglases in Mikrowellen oder Backöfen wird abgeraten, da hierbei
erhebliche Schäden an der Armierung und
weiteren Nichtmetall- oder Glas-Elementen
entstehen können.
ANBRINGEN EINES TRAGRIEMENS UND DES
OKULAR-SCHUTZDECKELS
Falls Sie einen anderen Tragriemen anbringen
möchten: Auf Seite 3 finden Sie eine entsprechende Illustration.
Hinweis:
Falls Sie den Okular-Schutzdeckel am Tragriemen
befestigen möchten, muss dies zusammen mit
dem Anbringen des Tragriemens am Fernglas
erfolgen.

EINSTELLEN DER AUGENMUSCHELN BZW.
VERWENDUNG MIT UND OHNE BRILLE
Die Augenmuscheln
3 lassen sich durch Ziehen
einfach verstellen und rasten in den gewählten
Positionen sicher ein.
Für die Beobachtung mit Brille bleiben sie in der
ganz eingedrückten (Bild
A), oder einer leicht
herauszogenen Stellung. Für die Beobachtung
ohne Brille werden sie durch Ziehen in eine der
äußeren Positionen gebracht. Es stehen drei
Positionen zur optimalen Anpassung zur Verfügung.

EINSTELLEN DES AUGENABSTANDS
Durch Knicken des Fernglases um die Gelenkachse
6 wird der individuelle Augenabstand
eingestellt. Bei korrektem Augenabstand verschmelzen rechtes und linkes Sehfeld zu einem
kreisrunden Bild.

EINSTELLEN DER SCHÄRFE/DIOPTRIENAUSGLEICH
Die Einstellung der Schärfe auf unterschiedlich
weit entfernte Objekte erfolgt an den Leica
Trinovid Ferngläsern mit dem Zentral-Fokussierrad
5. Zum Ausgleich individueller Fehlsichtigkeit für
die Beobachtung ohne Brille dient der Dioptrienring
2, der nur die Schärfe des rechten Systems
verändert.
Vorgehensweise
1. Rechtes Auge schließen oder rechtes Objektiv
abdecken. Dann das Zentral-Fokussierungsrad so einstellen, dass Sie das Zielobjekt im
linken Fernglasrohr optimal scharf sehen.

2. Linkes Auge schließen oder linkes Objektiv
abdecken. Dann den Dioptrienring so
einstellen, dass Sie dasselbe Objekt auch im
rechten Fernglasrohr optimal scharf sehen.
DIOPTRIENSKALENANGABE
Der über die Schärfeanpassung ermittelte individuelle Wert des Benutzers kann anhand der
einmal ermittelten Skaleneinstellung immer
wieder in Sekundenschnelle individuell angepasst
werden.

PFLEGE/REINIGUNG
Eine besondere Pflege Ihres Leica Trinovid
Fernglases ist nicht notwendig. Grobe Schmutzteilchen wie z. B. Sand sollten mit einem Haarpinsel entfernt oder weggeblasen werden.
Fingerabdrücke u. Ä. auf Objektiv- und Okularlinsen können mit einem weichen, sauberen Leder
oder einem staubfreien Tuch abgewischt werden.
Wasserflecken auf dem Objektiv und den Okularlinsen lassen sich am einfachsten mit einem mit
Wasser befeuchteten Tuch entfernen.
Wichtig:
• Achten Sie darauf, die Glasflächen nicht mit
den Fingern zu berühren, besonders nicht,
wenn Sie diese vorher mit Handcreme,
Insektenschutzmitteln o. Ä. behandelt haben.
Diese Mittel können Chemikalien enthalten,
die die Vergütungen der Glas-Oberflächen
beschädigen oder zerstören.
• Üben Sie auch beim Abwischen stark
verschmutzter Linsenoberflächen keinen Druck
aus. Die Vergütung ist zwar hochabriebfest,
durch Sand oder Salzkristalle kann sie
dennoch beschädigt werden.

FEHLFUNKTIONEN UND IHRE BEHEBUNG
Fehler Ursache Abhilfe
Bei der Beobachtung wird kein
kreisrundes Bild erreicht.
a) Das Fernglas ist nicht
genügend dem persönlichen
Augenabstand angepasst.
a) Durch stärkeres oder schwä-
cheres Knicken der Gelenkachse den Abstand der beiden
Fernglas-Rohre korrigieren.
b) Die Pupille des Beobachters
liegt nicht in der Austrittspupille des Fernglases.

Fernglasposition korrigieren.
c) Die Stellung der Augenmu-
scheln entspricht nicht der
richtigen Benutzung mit und
ohne Brille.

Attention:
Never look directly at the sun or other bright sources of light through your binoculars! Non-compliance may lead to serious damage to your eyes!
Do not use your binocular while walking! You might not see obstacles in your way!

AREAS OF USE
The Leica Trinovid binoculars have a splashwater-proof aluminum chassis. They should therefore be protected from heavy rain and moisture,
for example in the carrying case included in the
scope of delivery. If the internal lenses fog,
storage in dry rooms or near sources of heat can
make the moisture escape from the binoculars.
We do not advise drying the binoculars in
microwaves or ovens because this can cause
considerable damage to the protective casing
and other non-metallic or glass elements.
ATTACHING THE CARRYING STRAP AND
EYEPIECE CAP
If you want to attach a different carrying strap:
you will find a relevant illustration on page 3.
Note:
If you want to attach the eyepiece cap to the
carrying strap, you will have to do that at the time
of attaching the carrying strap to the binoculars.

ADJUSTMENT OF THE EYECUPS/USE WITH
AND WITHOUT GLASSES
The eyecups
3 are adjusted by pulling them out
and will lock securely in the selected position.
If you want to use the binoculars with glasses,
the eyecups should be fully pushed in (Figure
A),
or slightly pulled out. Pull them out to one of the
out positions to adjust the view without glasses.
Three positions are available for optimum
adjustment.

ADJUSTING THE EYEBASE
Adjust the eyebase by using the hinged joint to
rotate the binocular sesctions

eyebase has been set correctly, the right and left
fields of view merge into a circular image.

ADJUSTING THE FOCUS/DIOPTER SETTINGS
The focus for objects at diff erent distances is
adjusted on the Leica Trinovid binoculars using
the central focusing wheel
5. The diopter ring is
used to adjust for individual visual impairments
so the binoculars can be used without glasses;

this changes only the focus of the right-hand
system.
Procedure:
1. Close your right eye or cover the right-hand
lens. Then adjust the central focusing wheel
so that you can see the target object with
optimum focus through the left-hand
binocular tube.

2. Close your left eye or cover the left-hand
lens. Then adjust the diopter wheel so that
you can see the target object with optimum
focus through the right-hand binocular tube.
DIOPTER SCALE READING
The user's individual value determined using the
focus adjustment can then be adjusted again
within seconds using the scale setting that has
been determined once.

CARE/CLEANING
Your Leica Trinovid binoculars require no special
care. Coarse dirt particles like sand can be
removed with a soft brush or simply blown off.
Fingerprints, etc. on lenses and eyepieces can be
removed with a soft, clean leather or lint-free
cloth. Water stains on the lenses and eyepieces
are best removed with a moist cloth.
Important:
• Make sure not to touch the glass surfaces with
your fingers, especially if you have previously
applied hand cream, insect repellent, etc.
These substances may contain chemicals that
damage or destroy the coatings on the glass
surfaces.
• Do not apply pressure when wiping heavily
soiled lens surfaces. Although the coating is
highly abrasion-resistant, it can nevertheless
be damaged by sand or salt crystals.

TROUBLESHOOTING

b) Your pupils are not in line
