Topic
The paper jam J13xx/J15xx* might occur due to delay of stopping time of the vertical paper conveying roller when
turning OFF the electromagnetic clutch to rotate the vertical paper conveying roller since the loads of the vertical
paper conveying roller was too small.
* J13xx: Middle sensor non arrival jam/Middle sensor stay jam
J15xx: Paper conveying sensor non arrival jam/Paper conveying sensor stay jam
Content of Changes
Two brake sheets (No.2) were added to the guide for the vertical paper conveying roller in order to increase the
loads to be applied the vertical paper conveying roller.

Detach the following covers, feed drive unit and PF drive unit while referring to the Service Manual.
(The tables below indicate the pages describing how to detach the parts.)

It will be unnecessary to detach the fuser drive unit and the
transfer drive unit by removing the following unit (X) before
detaching the feed drive unit. (*)
(*) In the Service Manual, it is described that the fuser drive unit, the
transfer drive unit and the feed drive unit shall be detached. However, the
feed drive unit can be detached without detaching the fuser/transfer drive
unit by detaching the unit (X) above.

Remove the stopper and the clutch
located behind the feed drive unit of the
PF drive unit on the machine rear side.
Disconnect the connector (x3) on the
machine right side.
Remove the screw (x2) fixing the PARTS
GUIDE FEED MIDDLE ASSY SP (No.1)
on the machine right side.
